Repent!

In Isaiah 58:1–14, God reveals 3 scenarios describing the
life he chooses to bless.
I. God does not choose to bless the fast that is
outward only.
A. He condemns their sin (v. 1).
B. He exposes their unrighteousness (v. 2).
C. He rebukes their complaint (v. 3).
D. He reveals their fast to be ineffective and
unacceptable (vs. 4–5).

II. God does choose to bless the fast that flows from
inward change and selflessly seeks justice and
mercy (vs. 6–12).
III. God chooses to bless the one who obeys and
delights in him and his Sabbath (vs. 13–14).
