(1) Jesus was in total control of all of the events surrounding His death. (2) Jesus knew all along who would betray Him. (3) Jesus earnestly desired to eat this last Passover meal with His disciples, and in it He gave us something new, the Lord’s Supper, that pictures the New Covenant.
