The Obedience of Children

Paul, following Christ's example, shows us what's most impacting for the Kingdom with respect to children, namely, Godly character, which is learned and perfected in the dusty details of living in a family with its authority structure and routines. Paul defends his position with the fifth commandment and helps us understand the essence of what it is saying with his comment about it being the first commandment with promise.
