In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. Papist Conspiracy Day has a focus on the miraculous, with God's protection of Protestantism from potpourri in 1605 and 1688. The Principality of Orange in France was so renamed in connection with the fact that it was on a trade route via which large amounts of oranges were transported from ports in the south of France, such as Marseille, up to the north. In 1163 AD from this Principality of Orange came the House of Orange, or since 1908 the House of Orange-Nassau, which is the dynasty of Holland's royal family. And with the Prince of Orange adopting both this name and colour from the 16th century, the importance of the Protestant Christian House of Orange in the 16th and 17th centuries had the consequence that the colour orange came to be associated from that time with Protestantism. Now, in common law, if something is voidable, it is lawful until legally declared void. And with respect to the crown, a king is required, as Supreme Governor of the established Church of England, to hold to the Protestant 39 Articles in 1662 Book of Common Prayer, and in the 17th century, also as Supreme Governor of the established Church of Ireland, the 1666 Prayer Book, which had Irish modifications to the 1662 Prayer Book, such as the office of Irish Massacre Day on 23 October, remembering God's overall deliverance of Protestantism in Ireland amidst the mass murder of Protestants by Papists in 1641. But as a convert to Roman Catholicism, the Pope-ish James II didn't meet the constitutional law requirements of Protestant office. And so, in recognition of his voidable office, parliamentary members invited the next in line, William III of Orange and his consort Mary II, to jointly reign over the kingdoms of England and Ireland. As by his unrelenting violation of constitutional law, in substance, James II had, according to law, legal Latin de jure, abdicated the legally Protestant throne by his Romanism. Thus, after King William III of Orange arrived on Papists' Conspiracy Day, 5 November 1688, a convention parliament in London of February 1689 recognised James II had, according to law, legal Latin de facto, abdicated by deserting his post when fleeing London and discarding the Great Seal into the River Thames. In further recognition, that it further recognized, I should say, it further recognized that his legal successors were William III of Orange and his consort Mary II as co-sovereigns. James II was known as the Hopish Duke and he sought to illegally hold onto the Protestant throne in the kingdoms of England and Ireland. But in the providence of God, King William III of Orange militarily defeated him and routed his forces at the Battle of the Boyne in Ireland in July 1690, and in connection with this, Protestants in Ireland became known as Orangemen. A traditional Ulster Protestant Protestant folk song of Northern Ireland, known as the Boyne Water, refers to, quote, Protestants, unquote, and concludes, come let us all with heart and voice applaud our faith's defender, who at the Boyne his valour showed, and made his foes surrender. To God above the praise we'll give, both now and ever after, and bless the glorious memory of King William that crossed the Boyne Water. The co-sovereigns King William III and Queen Mary II reigned jointly over the kingdoms of England and Ireland from 1689 to 1694, and following the death of Mary II in 1694, William III reigned solely from 1694 to 1702. And so on this Papist conspiracy day 2024, remembering both God's protection of Protestantism from potpourri in the Romanist Guy Fawkes gunpowder plot treason to blow up the Protestant King James of the King James Bible, and Protestant Parliament on 5 November 1605, and also God's protection of Protestantism from potpourri in the Romanist plot to put a papist on the Protestant throne as ended with the coming of the Protestant King William III of Orange on 5 November 1688. Given the historic association of the colour orange with the House of Orange and Protestantism, in harmony with this tradition, I am today wearing an orange tie and the pulpit is draped in orange for Protestantism in general and the coming of the Protestant King William of Orange on 5 November 1688, in particular with a sign on the front of the pulpit reading, no potpourri. And so, on this Hapest Conspiracy Day, 5 November 2024, remembered throughout England with the colourful night-time celebrations of Bonfire Night, with respect to religiously conservative Protestant Christianity, as with the orange tie I am wearing today, the message of the pulpit, draped in orange, is Ra! Ra! Ra! For Protestantism! Let us pray. Almighty God, who hast in all ages showed Thy power and mercy on the miraculous and gracious deliverances of Thy Church, and in the protection of righteous and religious kings and states, professing Thy holy and eternal truth, as found in Protestantism, from the wicked conspiracies and malicious practices of all the enemies thereof, We yield the unfeigned thanks and praise for the mighty deliverance on this day in 1605 of our gracious Sovereign King James, through whom a translation of the Holy Scriptures, now bearing his name, was being then undertaken, together with other members of the Royal Family and members of Parliament, then assembled, by popish treachery, appointed as sheep to the slaughter, in a most barbarous and savage manner, to be blown up by gunpowder. We thank Thee that in Thy mercy this papist conspiracy was thwarted, and so fireworks were then used by tradition to celebrate bonfire night. Except also, most gracious God, our unfeigned thanks, for filling our hearts again with joy and gladness, and putting a new song in our mouths, by bringing King William III of Orange on this day in 1688, for the deliverance of the truth of Protestantism from popish tyranny and arbitrary power. As in thy mercy, the Papists' conspiracy to have a Romish king upon the throne was thwarted. May the legal Protestant Christianity of the throne, as protected by the deliverances on this 5th day of November in 1605 and 1688, remind King Charles III, the members of Parliament, the judicature, the clergymen, and other men in both church and state, of their duty and privilege to uphold and walk with a lively faith and love in the holy Protestant obedience, through Jesus Christ our only mediator and advocate, Amen. Welcome to all listening to this address, Old Testament Messianic Prophecies, Part 13, which continues on in a series of sermons and Old Testament on Old Testament Messianic prophecies from my accession day sermon of 2023, which was part 12, divided into 12a, 12b and 12c, and preached on accession day of King Charles III, the 8th of September 2023. In Old Testament Messianic Prophecies, Part 12, we considered, with a special focus on Christ's public ministry, were the sevenfold gifts of the Spirit in Isaiah 11-2 that were prophesied to rest upon the Christ or Messiah, and which, in derivative form, are found as general fruits of the Spirit in the Christian believer. For the sevenfold division found in Isaiah 11.2 is also related to such scriptures as those in the book of Revelation in which the sevenfold gifts of the Spirit represented in the seven spirits of God which are before his throne and are sent forth into all the earth in Revelation 1.4, 3.1, 4.5 and 5.6. And, after having considered the sevenfold gifts of the Spirit in Isaiah 11-2, we shall now today, in this Papist Conspiracy Day sermon of 2024, Old Testament Messianic Prophecies Part 3, be continuing the special focus on Christ's public ministry with firstly Christ's usage of parables in Psalm 78, 2 and secondly Christ's usage of miracles in Isaiah 35, 5 and 6 in connection also with, as previously referred to, Deuteronomy 18. This is a non-exhaustive list of Old Testament prophesied matters in the then coming Christ's Public Ministry, which shall be continued in the next sermon in the series Old Testament Messianic Prophecies Part 14. We shall then consider Christ's words on repentance and faith with special, although not exclusive, reference on this paper's Conspiracy Day 2024 to Roman Catholicism or Romanism, and some other matters. And to the extent that this is a continuation of the accession day sermon of King Charles III, I also give thanks to God for the privilege of being able to see His Majesty King Charles III and his consort at the Opera House in Sydney on the recent royal visit, which was on the eve of Irish Massacre Day 2024. And so, in this sermon's special focus on Messianic prophecies of Christ's public ministry, let us now consider, firstly, Christ's usage of parables in Psalm 78-2. Now, as stated in 1 Corinthians 2, 13 and 14, spiritual things are spiritually discerned. And as discussed in my King Edmund's Day sermon of 2021, Old Testament Messianic Prophecies Part 7, with respect to Hosea 11.1 being understood in connection with the associated antecedent prophecies of Genesis 49, 9 and 10 and Numbers 24, 8, 9 and 17, in order to understand its fulfillment in St. Matthew 2.15, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my Son, and also in my St. John the Baptist, today's sermon of 2022, Old Testament Messianic Prophecies Part 9, with respect to understanding Isaiah 40 verse 3 as a Messianic prophecy, through reference to Malachi 3.1. And so likewise in today's sermon, because spiritual things are spiritually discerned by the illuminating power of God the Holy Ghost, one can only understand the messianic nature of Psalm 78, 1-4 through reference to Genesis 12. Some elements of the multiple seed application of Genesis 12 were touched upon earlier this year in my King Charles Martyrs' Day sermon of 2024 entitled, Sins of Defilement, Part 5a, when the pulpit was draped in black for the Anglican Royal Martyr of 30 January 1649. And this issue is now being returned to in this Papists' Conspiracy Day sermon of 2024, when the pulpit is draped in orange for Protestantism in general, and in particular the coming on 5 November 1688 of the Protestant King William III of Orange, whose consort, Queen Mary II, was the granddaughter of King Charles the Martyr. In my King Charles Martyrs' Day sermon of 2024, earlier this year, I said that while I do not condone or bless the sins of the modern state of Israel, established in 1948, and in God's good time He will judge them for their sins, following the Jews' mass return to Palestine from 1923, in harmony with scripture, I am prepared to pronounce a general blessing upon the existence of the State of Israel in harmony with Genesis 12.3, in which it is understood the Jews back in Palestine with their own government since 1948 are now a lesser prophetic fulfillment of this prophecy. And the greater prophetic fulfillment of the plural seed prophecy is found in the Christian Church. so that the universal or Catholic Church of the Apostles and Nicene creeds is now the spiritual Israel of God and greater fulfilment of the Genesis 12, 3 blessing, being those who have faith in the singular seed fulfilment of Christ. The fact that in Genesis 12, 1, 3, and 7, the Lord said unto Abram, to thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. And the Lord appeared unto Abram. and said unto thy seed will I give this land requires this temporal land holding by the racial seed of Israel is a type of the greater spiritual holding of the land of new earth by the spiritual seed of Israel which consists of Christians who by race may be either Jews or Gentiles of Israel as taught in such scriptures as Acts 3 12 25 and 26 which says ye men of Israel Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Firstly, this shows men of Israel are the children of the covenant which God made with Abraham. And so they are here given a temporal land of Israel. But this is a prophetic type in two ways. Firstly, Acts 3.25 says, And since seed is a singular plural, this indicates that the temporal promise to Abraham found in the Jewish nation of Israel pointed to a messianic promise in the Christ. as also recognized in Galatians 3.16. Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many, but as of one, and to thy seed, which is Christ. And secondly, these words of Acts 3.25, In thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. indicates that the temporal promise to Abraham pointed to a heavenly Canaan for those who, like Abraham, have saving faith, as also recognized in Galatians 3, 7, 11, 28 and 29. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. And so, for our immediate purposes, the salient point is that in the Abrahamic seed prophecy of Genesis 12, the lesser plural biological seed promise to temporal Israel as the Jewish seed of Abraham that inherits temporal Canaan as re-established in 1948 and 1967 as the state of Israel, includes in it the typology of both the singular seed promise of a then future coming Messiah or Christ and also the plural seed promise that those of saving faith in this Messiah or Christ whether by race they are Jews or Gentiles, shall inherit the spiritual Canaan of heavenly bliss, by which I mean before Christ's second advent, heaven, and after Christ's second advent, the new earth." This very important antecedent prophecy of Genesis 12 must first be understood before one can, by the illuminating power of God the Holy Ghost, properly understand Psalm 78, 1-4. In this Mascale of Asaph, these verses say, Give ear, O my people, to my law. Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old, which have which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us, we will not hide them from their children, showing to the generations to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength, and His wonderful works that He hath done. When Psalm 78, 3 and 4 refers to what our fathers have told us, their children, must in the first instance refer to those of the Jewish race. But in the second place, the reference in Psalm 78, 22 and 35 to those who believed in God and trusted in His salvation and remembered that God was their rock, and the High God their Redeemer go beyond temporal Israel. For reference is first made in Psalm 78.22 to those that believed not in God and trusted not in His salvation. And then in Psalm 78.35 to those that remembered that God was their Rock and the High God their Redeemer. And so, when this is viewed through the antecedent seed prophecy of Genesis 12, it means that typologically, temporal or racial Israel went apostate and then came to have saving faith in God as their Redeemer, as a prophetic type of both Jews and Gentiles who first went apostate and then came to have saving faith in God as their Redeemer. And so in Psalm 78, 22 and 35, temporal Israel's lesser apostasy types the greater apostasy of the Gentiles following Noah's flood. And temporal Israel's lesser returning to faith types the then future salvation of the Gentiles in which they believed in God and trusted in His salvation and remembered that God was their rock and the High God their Redeemer. Furthermore, Henry Cook, who died in 1868, and Josiah Porter, who died in 1889, produced a 19th century edition of the earlier 1778 Brown's Bible, in which Henry Cook of Ireland was a Trinitarian champion against Aryan heretics inside the Presbyterian church in Ireland, and moderator of that church in 1841 and 1862, And also from 1847 till his death in 1868, president of the Presbyterian Theological Faculty of Ireland in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which from 1853 was Assemblies College. And his statue in Belfast, which was erected in 1875, is a symbol of Protestantism in Northern Ireland. And under the illuminating guidance of God's good spirit, this learned Protestant Christian, wise Irishman, Bible commentator, most aptly notes at Psalm 78.1, that the words, my law, mean quote, the person calling the law, my law, must be the law giver. must be Christ." In the wider words of Psalm 78, 1 and 2, which says, Give ear, O my people, to my law. Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in a parable. I will utter dark sayings of old, which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us. And so when this is also taken with what we have considered of how this psalm at points goes beyond temporal or racial Israel in psalm 78, 22 and 35, then in its greater fulfillment, the words of psalm 78, 1 to 4 must go beyond anything dealing with just temporal racial Israel. With reference to the antecedent seed prophecy of Genesis 12, Psalm 78, 1-4 must be a prophecy of the then coming Christ or Messiah who as God incarnate was here prophesied to speak in parables. And indeed, When we turn to the Four Holy Gospels, we see this amazing prophecy fulfilled repeatedly in Christ's public ministry, and our authority for understanding salvation and various other matters taught in Holy Writ in Scripture, which is its own interpreter, that is, the Word, as taught in the parable of the Sower. And in this context, Christ also explained why he so used parables, with further reference to Isaiah 6, 9, and 10, in which anon means immediately, and jurath means endureth. For in the Holy Gospel of St. Matthew, chapter 13, beginning at the 13th verse, that's St. Matthew 13, beginning at verse 3, in the parable of the Sower, Christ spake many things unto them in parable, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow, and when he sowed, some seeds fell by the wayside, and the fowls came and devoured them up. Some fell upon stony places. where they had not much earth, and forthwith they sprung up. Because they had no deepness of earth, and when the sun was up, they were scorched, and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprung up and choked them. But other fell into good ground and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Verse 10. And the disciples came and said to him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance. But whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away, even that he hath. Therefore speak I to them in parables, because they seeing see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears. and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them, and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside. But he that receiveth the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it. Yet hath he not root in himself, but doeth for a while? For when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that receiveth seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word, And the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that receiveth seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it, which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. And so Christ deliberately used parables so that his message would only be properly understood by those who are illuminated by the power of God the Holy Ghost, and are, or become, saved Christians who humbly submit themselves to him. Thus, others might understand selected elements of a parable, but not properly understand it overall. Following the parable of the vineyard in St. Matthew 21, 36-46, verses 45 and 46 say, And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. Thus, while the chief priests and Pharisees perceived that He spake of them, and so understood something of what was said in His parables, they did not understand the greater spiritual meaning of His parables. For Christ used parables to conceal elements of its meaning from them. And we see another example of this in His parable of the Good Samaritan, found in St. Luke 10, 25-37. Strangers to grace have missed this parable I should say, strangers to grace have misused this parable for such bizarre purposes as racial Babelism. But while it's true that it does teach the racial universality of the Christian gospel, such elements are misapplied if used for the mind of God on racially segregated areas. as seen in the fact that St Luke's Gospel first upholds segregationist residential areas in the St Luke 9.52 reference to a village of the Samaritans. And indeed, more widely, the racial and linguistic cultural segregation of groups into nations, as seen in the 70 nations on the Table of Nations in Genesis 10, is upheld in St. Luke 10, 1 and 17, where Christ appoints 70 outer disciples, thus pointing to both the racial universality of the Christian gospel and also the racial segregationist teaching of nations, including the Genesis 9, 25-27 teaching of servant races, which would have segregated residential areas. But, The parable of the Good Samaritan's elements of the racial universality of the Gospel message is certainly present, and something even the unsaved can recognize. This is evident in the fact the Jews have a special emphasis on the Pentateuch, or five books of Moses, from Genesis to Deuteronomy. And this includes a Jewish emphasis on keeping the Mosaic, or law, in the Pentateuch, reflected in the fact that Matthew 5.17 calls the Pentateuch by its Jewish name of the Law, or in Luke 24.44 it's called the Law of Moses. And so the Jews claim to keep the Pentateuch's law, such as Leviticus 19.18, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Yet in this parable, Christ saith to Jewish leaders, to wit, a certain priest and a Levite, when they saw the man in need, both violated the law of Moses, when they passed by on the other side of the road to Jericho. By contrast, a Samaritan who had what is undoubtedly a textually corrupt form of the five books of Moses in the Samaritan Pentateuch, together with a corrupt religion, for Christ also saith to the Samaritan woman in John 4.22, salvation is of the Jews. A Samaritan is the one who in this parable acts in harmony with the mosaical law of the Pentateuch and has compassion on the man in need. Such imagery of bad Jewish leaders not keeping the Pentateuch's law of Leviticus 19.18, in contrast to a good Samaritan following this Pentateuch's law, would have been politically incorrect with the Jews of Jesus' day. And the type of thing that even they could pick up elements of the meaning of. So that, as stated in Matthew 21.45, when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them, in a negative way. Thus, in the parable of the Good Samaritan, on the one hand, the bad Jews in this parable, who were of the same race as the man on the road to Jericho, were strangers to him as they set aside the Decalogue's neighbour principle of Romans 13.9, as manifested in Leviticus 19.18, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But on the other hand, the good Samaritan in this parable, who was a racial stranger to the Jewish man on the road to Jericho, was no stranger to him, but a neighbour to him. This man, in keeping with the Decalogue's neighbour principle of Romans 13.9, as manifested in Leviticus 19.18, thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. And a similar message on the racial universality of the gospel is found in Christ's object lesson of healing the ten lepers in St Luke 17, 11-19. In verse 13, the ten lepers lifted up their voice and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. Thus, in this object lesson of physical healing, typing the fact that for spiritual healing, one must seek God's mercy to be saved. Then verses 14 and 15 say, they were cleansed or healed, thus typing the spiritual cleansing or healing one has under the gospel of salvation. Then in Luke 17, 19, Christ says to the one who returned to give him thanks, thy faith hath made thee whole, thus typing the gospel of God's mercy and grace as stated in Romans 1, 17, the just shall live by faith. But in this object lesson of healing the ten lepers in Luke 17, 11-19, verse 15 and 16 tell us that the one who, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God and fell down on his face at his feet giving him thanks, was a Samaritan, verse 17. And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Now in verse 11 we are told This happened as Christ went to Jerusalem and passed through the midst of Sumeria and Galilee. And so the other nine were all Jews. And then Christ says in Luke 17, 18 and 19, there are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger. And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole. And so as with the parable of the Good Samaritan in Saint Luke 10, this object lesson of healing the ten lepers in Saint Luke 17 is showing the racial universality of the gospel through reference to a Good Samaritan in contrast to some bad Jews. As while in Saint Luke 17 A Samaritan is a racial stranger to Jewish Israel. He is here no stranger to the gospel of mercy and grace. And of course, this same type of message is also found in St. Luke 10, 1 and 17, in which in harmony with the 70 nations itemized on the table of nations in Genesis 10, Christ selects 70 outer disciples, thus making two points. Firstly, that the Gospel is racially universal, and secondly, that this does not negate the proper place and validity of the racial segregationist morality of Genesis 10, which teaches that if required, segregation of part breeds, such as Samaritans, should be made in a mixed races area, such as the Hamite-Semite mixed regions of Sheba and Havila, on West Coast Arabia in Genesis 10, 7, 28 and 29, and as found in the St. Luke 9.52 reference to a village of the Samaritans. Returning now to the parable of the Good Samaritan, Notably, this parable is prefaced with the associated preliminary words of St Luke 10, 25-28. And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? How readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind, and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right. This do, and thou shalt live. Now, this is the same type of thing one finds in Christ's teaching to the rich young ruler in St. Luke 18. And a certain ruler asked him, saying, good master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Note that in both St. Luke 10.25 and 18.18, a question of justification by the covenant of works is given to Christ. Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? In the case of the rich young ruler, The answer involves keeping the Ten Commandments perfectly. And in the case of the prefatory words to the parable of the Good Samaritan, the answer involves keeping a summary form of the Ten Commandments perfectly, of love God and thy neighbour. To which Christ says to the lawyer in St Luke 10.28, Thou hast answered right, this do, and thou shalt live. That's eternal life under perfect obedience to the covenant of works. But there's also a problem with attempting to do this. And that is it's not possible for a fallen sinful man to keep the covenant of works perfectly and thus gain eternal life. As Saint Paul saith in Galatians 3.12, And the law is not of faith, but the man that doeth them shall live in them. Verses 23 to 25. But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith, which should afterwards be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Thus, after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. What do those words of Galatians 3.24 mean? Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster, to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. They mean that the covenant of works was designed to show us the impossibility of justification by works. And so if one seeks to be justified by this manner, the law acts as a schoolmaster or schoolteacher telling us that this is absolutely impossible. And this then drives us to cry out for mercy under the covenant of grace that we might be justified by faith. And hence, in Galatians 4.24, we are told there are two covenants. The one from Mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, that is, justification by works through keeping perfectly the Ten Commandments, results in bondage, because it's impossible for a fallen, sinful man to do it. But the good news is that there's another covenant, the covenant of grace, of which we read in Galatians 3.6, even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. And hence, verse 17 refers to the covenant grace as a covenant inside a covenant that was confirmed before of God in Christ to Abraham and thus verse 11 says but that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God it is evident for the just shall live by faith therefore We find this contrast also in Galatians 5.4, "...whosoever of you are justified by the law, ye are fallen from grace." That's because to be justified by law under the covenant of works which in practice is impossible for a fallen sinful man, is the alternative to the only possible way of salvation, namely to be justified by faith in Christ's atoning work under the covenant of grace. And so, when our Holy Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, saith to the lawyer in St Luke 10.28, Thou hast answered right, this do, and thou shalt live. The correct response would be for the lawyer to say words to the effect, my Lord, I have tried to but it's impossible. I can never keep this love God and thy neighbor summary of the Ten Commandments perfectly. And so I cry out for mercy under the covenant of grace. Yet he does not do so. For St Luke 10.29 says, But he willing to justify himself, that is justification by works under the covenant of works, but he willing to justify himself said unto Jesus, and who is my neighbour? Then comes the parable of the good Samaritan with the concluding words of verse 37, Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. Now if this is taken seriously, it would mean the lawyer would have to go up would have to go and help, it would have to go uptown and downtown and help absolutely every person in need, indeed, in the world. In the first place, he wouldn't have enough money to do that. And in the second place, he wouldn't have enough personal presence everywhere on the earth to do that. And so this is an insoluble problem for anyone seriously seeking justification by works. under the covenant of works because he can never say that he has so fully loved his neighbor because it's impossible and that's the primary point for in the words of Galatians 3 24 wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by faith in which, more widely from Holy Scripture, Jesus Christ is understood as the fully divine and fully human second person in the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Ghost. You see, instead of being willing to justify himself, that is justification by works under the covenant of works, in fact, the lawyer needed to cry out for mercy under the covenant of grace. And that's the primary point of the parable. Now, in the profundity of scripture, there are some secondary points in this parable of the Good Samaritan. And those from whom this parable's primary point is hidden, sometimes grasp some of these secondary points. For example, those seeking justification before God in connection with their so-called good works, in the apostate religions of Roman Catholicism or Eastern Orthodoxy or Oriental Orthodoxy or various apostate forms of Protestantism. that have in various ways lost their focus on the biblical Christ and fallen away from various great Reformation Protestant truths, such as the apostates in Puseite ritualistic high-church Anglicanism or semi-Puseite ritualistic broad-church Anglicanism. For only those in religiously conservative Protestant Christianity for example, Lowchurch Evangelical Anglicans, can ever understand the primary point of this parable of the Good Samaritan. Namely, that the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by faith. And so one must cry out for mercy under the covenant of grace, in order to be justified by faith in Christ's atoning merit alone. Because for a fallen sinful man, justification by works under the covenant of works is a dead end. It can't be done. For example, one can never love one's neighbors in the world to the point necessary to fulfill the law's demands of the Decalogue, as summarized in Love God and thy Neighbor. And that's the parable of the Good Samaritan's primary point, and in doctrine, a very evangelical Protestant point. And indeed, our Holy Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ saith so in another parable, to wit, the parable of the Pharisee and the Publican in St Luke 18, 9-14. For he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others. Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a Publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank Thee that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week. I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me, a sinner, I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other. For everyone that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. Note here that our Holy Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ saith that to be justified before God can only occur in the mercy of God by a man who recognizes his sinfulness Before God, in the words, God be merciful to me, a sinner. For as also stated by His holy apostle Paul in Titus 3, 5, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us. We are saved by God's mercy and grace. And so in this parable, the publican who smote upon his breast saying, God, be merciful to me, a sinner, is the one that was justified in God's sight. Thus a contrast is made between the Pharisee with attempted justification before God by works, which necessarily will always fail for sinful, fallen men, as opposed to the publican's successful justification before God by crying out for mercy under the covenant of grace. And while the point is secondary to this primary point, I note in passing the fact that the publican smote upon his breast. shows that the teaching of Christ allows the usage of religious actions in matters pertaining unto God, of which in the Anglican tradition of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer, the usage by a Protestant minister administering the holy sacrament of baptism of the sign of the cross on the forehead of the one being baptized is another example of such religious actions. Now, the interested reader may find for himself, in the four Holy Gospels, many more parables of Christ that we could, but in the context of this sermon, will not be looking at. For example, the interested reader may wish to consider, in greater detail, the parable Jesus spake in St. John 10, 1-21, namely the parable of the Good Shepherd. in which Christ saith he is the access door saying in verse 9 I am the door by me if any man enter in he shall be saved verse 15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father, and I lay down my life for the sheep, so that on the basis of his atoning death in St. John 19, he here teaches he is the one mediator between God and man. Jesus Christ does not here say access to God the Father is through some saint mediators, with the invocation of saints, as heretically claimed in Roman Catholicism, or semi-Romanist Eastern Orthodoxy, or various Huseyites? Not does he say that access to God the Father is through some popish priest in a confessional, nor anyone else, but rather he saith in this parable of the Good Shepherd that he in connection with His atoning death is the access door to God the Father. And so in terms of this door parabolic metaphor, if we go to God the Father as saved believers, we must do so by going through the door of Jesus Christ. And bearing in mind we use the four Gospels to better understand the rest of Scripture, and the rest of Scripture to understand the four gospels, in considering this parable, the interested listener might also consider that this teaching is stated in non-parable form in the epistles at 1 Timothy 2, 5 and 6. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. And we shall return to this issue in a future sermon in this series, when we shall in due course consider Christ as the prophesied teacher. In Isaiah 53.1, Holy Isaiah saith, Who hath believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? And a similar type of prophecy also found in Isaiah 6, 9 and 10, where God said, Go and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not, and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert and be healed. And in St. Matthew 13 to 17, Jesus said, Therefore speak I to them in parables, because they seeing see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand, and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should hear them. But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear. And so, for those who come under the sound of this message, and who have spiritual eyes that see, and ears that hear, in this sermon's special focus on Christ's public ministry, in considering the second prophetic example of Christ's usage of parables, As foretold in Psalm 78 2, it is here to be noted that in reference to this prophecy, St. Matthew 13 34 and 35 says, All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables. And without a parable spake He not unto them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables. I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. What a truly amazing fulfillment Jesus Christ is of Biblical prophecy in Psalm 78.2. And what a clear evidence this is of the divine inspiration of Holy Scripture. And so, In this sermon's special focus on Messianic prophecies of Christ's public ministry, let us now consider, secondly, Christ's usage of miracles in Isaiah 35, 5 and 6a, in connection also with, as previously referred to, Deuteronomy 18. In my St Bede's Day sermon of 2023 entitled Old Testament Messianic Prophecies Part 11, with respect to Deuteronomy 18, 15-22, I refer to how first A reference is made to the prophet, or that prophet, who is to come, and then a test of prophets is given for all prophets. And the point this makes is that there are to be a succession of prophets who in some way type the then coming prophet who is to be like unto Moses. And in finding the greater fulfillment of this in Jesus Christ of Nazareth, concerning the Deuteronomy 18.22 test of a true prophet, that one looks to see if the thing follows when he speaketh, in which this could be either speaking some word showing a miracle that did follow, or speaking a prophecy that did follow. And in that sermon I considered the miracle of Christ's feeding of the 5,000, which is found in all four Gospels. and also some prophecies given by Christ that were fulfilled in the Gospels. And in this Papists Conspiracy Day sermon 2024 entitled Old Testament Messianic Prophecies part 13, I am again referring to this element of Deuteronomy 18 with respect to Christ's miracles. But I am also doing so in this sermon in the wider context of Isaiah 35, 5 and 6a. Now, with regard to Isaiah 35, 5 and 6a, the dates I shall use for events in the Book of Isaiah are those of the precise chronology found in my 2014 and 2015 book, Creation, Not Macroevolution, Mind the Gap, Volume 2, Part 6. Isaiah 32.1a says, Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness. And contextually, the greater fulfillment of this must be the Isaiah 9.6 Messianic Prince of Peace. Though contextually, there is also a lesser prophetic type in Hezekiah. Isaiah 27.13 refers to a deliverance from Assyria, which thus locates a prophetic type in God's deliverance of Jerusalem from Sennacherib. Now Hezekiah's regnal years were 720 to 692 BC, in which he was co-regent 720 to 718 BC, and sole king 718 to 692 BC. And when this happened in Isaiah 36.1, God said in Isaiah 38.6, I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria, and I will defend this city. And then Isaiah 37, 36 and 37, records, the angel of the Lord went forth and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and four score and five thousand and when they arose early in the morning behold they were all dead corpses. So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed and went and returned and dwelt at Nineveh. These amazing biblical prophecies are an example of Holy Isaiah's meeting the Deuteronomy 18 15 and 18 to 22 tests of a prophet, typing the then coming prophet of the Messiah or Christ at His first advent, and are a truly amazing fulfillment of Biblical prophecy, and a clear evidence of the divine inspiration of Holy Scripture. But going now beyond the prophetic type of Hezekiah in the Isaiah 32 1a prophecy, behold the King shall reign in righteousness, and looking to the contextually greater fulfillment of this in the then coming Isaiah 9, 6, Messianic Prince of Peace, recognized at his first advent from his nativity by the three wise men in St. Matthew 2, 2, as born King of the Jews, and also at his second advent declared in Revelation 19, 16, to be King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Isaiah 32 1a 3 and 4 says, Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment. And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken. The heart also of the rash shall understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly. Now the words, Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, contextually find their greater fulfillment in the Isaiah 9, 6 Messianic Prince of Peace, though contextually there is a lesser prophetic type in Hezekiah. And Isaiah 29, 18 looks forward to that day when the deaf shall hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity and out of darkness, indicating that any physical healing of a blind or or deaf person is pointing to a greater spiritual capacity to heal so that men specifically hear the words of the book of God's divine revelation. And one finds references to both the first and second advents of Christ in Isaiah 35. For instance, Isaiah 35 9 and 10 says, No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon. It shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads. They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away." The words of Isaiah 35.9a, no lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there, are clearly looking to the Isaiah 65.17 and 66.22 New Heavens and New Earth, in which Isaiah 65.25 says the wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock, and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountains, saith the Lord. And the words of Isaiah 35, 9b and 10. But the redeemed shall walk there, and the ransomed of the Lord shall return and come to Zion. with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads, they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Thus also look to the new earth." Indeed, about 45 years ago now, in an evangelical Anglican youth group I sometimes attended, we used to sing a song based on these words. Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, And come with singing unto Zion, And everlasting joy shall be upon their heads. And looking at Isaiah 35, in some elucidation on the Messianic King of Isaiah 32, 1, 3, and 4, we also read in Isaiah 35, 4b-6, Behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God, and a recompense. He will come and save you. Thus the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a heart, and the tongue of the dumb sing. For in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert. Now, the words of verse 4b, Behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense. He will come and save you, pre-second advent, as they are looking forward to when God will come with vengeance. And the words of verse 6b, For in the wilderness shall waters break out, and the streams in the desert find their greater fulfillment after the second advent. And so the implication is that the words in between Isaiah 35.4b and 6b of Isaiah 35.5 and 6a will therefore find a fulfillment in the public ministry of the then coming Messiah or Christ. Namely, then the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be stopped. then shall the lame man leap as a heart and the tongue of the dumb sing." And this fulfillment will in turn type and point forward to an even greater fulfillment of Isaiah 35, 5 and 6, in which, following the second advent, this same Messiah, or Christ, shall remove all such ailments from the redeemed who are on the new earth. And so St. John saith in Revelation 21, 1 and 4, Of the new heavens and new earth there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away. And indeed, When we look at the three and a half year public ministry of Christ from AD 26 to 30, we clearly see a remarkable fulfillment of this prophecy in the four holy gospels. Though as with the earlier prophecy on parables, with this prophecy on miracles, we can only look at a relatively small sample of the fulfillment in today's sermons. Though the interested listener can find far more examples in the four gospels of St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke and St. John. So Matthew 9.35 says, And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Or St. Matthew 15 30 and 31 says, And a great multitude came unto Him, having with them those who were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet. And He healed them, insomuch that the multitude wondered when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to behold, the lame to walk, and the blind to see. And they glorified the God of Israel. or St Matthew 21.14 records, and the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them. And so, in Matthew 11.1-6, in response to the question of John the Baptist sent to Christ, Art thou He that should come, or do we look for another? Which is a question as to whether He is or is not the Christ that in the Old Testament is prophesied should come. With respect to the healings of His public ministry, Jesus answered and said unto them, that these are evidential fruits of the gospel. He is preaching as the Christ Messiah, saying in Matthew 11 verse 6, Go and show John again these things which ye do hear and see. The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached unto them. And blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended in Me. Now concerning the words from the end of verse 4 in Isaiah 35 46 he will come and save you then the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped then shall the lame man leap as a heart and the tongue of the dumb sing this indicates the Messiah shall be a savior found in his name as as St. Matthew 1.21 says, Thou shalt call His name Jesus, for He shall save His people from their sins. Which is also why the usage of Jesus in Article 2 of the Apostles' Creed points to Christ as man's Saviour from sin. And this means that Christ was to and did use such miracles as object lessons, showing he gives spiritual sight, hearing, life and health through the gospel of salvation, to those who in the words of St Mark 1.15 repent and believe the gospel. Like the centurion who says in St Matthew 27.54 Truly, this was the Son of God. And concerning what I repeat are some very limited examples of which there are far more in the four Gospels, let us now consider just some of the far more detailed examples of Isaiah 35, 5 and 6 in the four Gospels. Concerning the words of Isaiah 35, 5, Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be stopped. Matthew 12, 22 records, Then was brought unto him one possessed with the devil, blind and dumb, and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. concerning the words of Isaiah 35, 5, then the eyes of the blind shall be opened. There is, for example, the story of blind Bartimaeus in St Mark 10, 46-52. That's the Holy Gospel according to St Mark, chapter 10, beginning at verse 46. And they came to Jericho and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace, but he cried out the more a great deal. Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And And they called the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise, he calleth thee. And he, casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight and followed Jesus in the way. Now, as I say, this is not simply a miracle of Christ giving a blind man sight as some kind of social gospel in which Jesus was simply healing people as part of a medical ministry. Rather, this is an object lesson, in which Christ is showing by His power to give physical sight to a blind man, that He can save and give spiritual sight to a Christian believer. Note those words of St Mark 10.52, And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way, thy faith hath made thee whole. Show how in this object lesson, if one has saving faith in Christ, one will be made spiritually whole and receive spiritual sight as a saved follower of Jesus. And so this is the same message as Romans 1.17. that just shall live by faith. Concerning the words of Isaiah 35, 5b and 6b, Then the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped, and the tongue of the dumb sing. There is, for example, the story of the deaf and dumb man in St Mark 7, 32-35. That's the Holy Gospel according to Saint Mark, chapter 7, beginning at verse 32. And they bring unto him one that was deaf. and had an impediment in his speech, and they beseeched him to put his hand upon him. And he took him aside from the multitude and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit and touched his tongue. And looking up to heaven, he sighed and saith unto him, This clearly shows that Christ unstopped the ears of the deaf and unloosed the tongue. of the dumb, that it might sing God's praises. And once again, this healing of the deaf and dumb man in St Mark 7, 32-35 is an object lesson that shows Jesus Christ can open the spiritual ears and spiritual eyes of a man so that he may spiritually see and hear. And once again, this comes about in connection with the regenerating power of God the Holy Ghost. For Christ also saith in the Holy Gospel of St John, chapter 3, verse 7b, Ye must be born again. And using the Gospels to better understand the rest of Scripture, and the rest of Scripture to better understand the Gospels, we read in the Epistle of Paul the Apostle to Titus, chapter 3, verses 4 to 7, But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us by the washing of regeneration. and renewing of the Holy Ghost, which He shed upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour, that, being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. And concerning the words of Isaiah 35 6a, Then shall the lame man leap as a heart, there is, for example, the story of the healing of the impotent man in St. John 5 1-9, That's the Holy Gospel according to Saint John, chapter 5, beginning at verse 1. And after this there was a feast of the Jews and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water. whosoever then first, after the troubling of the water, stepped in, was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool. But while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise. take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked. And on the same day was the Sabbath. Moreover, in Isaiah 42, we read of the coming of Christ, who in verse 1, shall have a gospel to be taken to the Gentiles. For example, the white Caucasian Japhethites of the Genesis 10-5, Isles of the Gentiles, at Isaiah 42-4 says, the Isles shall wait for His law. And in Isaiah 42, 6b and 7, God says of of Him He shall give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles, to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house." The words of Isaiah 42.7, to open the blind eyes, are thus an elucidation upon the earlier words of Isaiah 35.5, the eyes of the blind shall be opened. But here in the Hebraic Synonymous Poetical Parallelism of Isaiah 42.7, to open the blind eyes is synonymous with to bring out the prisoners from the prison. Then, and them that sit in darkness, is synonymous with out of the prison house. Now this Hebraic Synonymous Poetical Parallelism of Isaiah 42.7 requires that a spiritual blindness is to be healed by the then coming Christ that equates coming out of a spiritual prison of spiritual darkness and its replication of Isaiah 35 5 requires that the then coming Christ's miracles of physical healing of blind people will be an object lesson pointing to the fact that he gives spiritual sight to the believer and spiritually heals him in harmony with Isaiah 35 4 He will come and save you. And notably, the ancient Greek Septuagint translation recognized this contextual nexus in Isaiah 42.7 as linked to the earlier Isaiah 35.5 Because in the Greek Septuagint rendering of Isaiah 61, 1 and 2, after the words in the Hebrew to proclaim liberty to the captives, for the words in the Hebrew, and the opening of the prison to them that are blind, a dynamic equivalent was used of, and recovering of sight to the blind. Now, in my St Bede's Day Sermon of 2023, entitled, Old Testament Messianic Prophecies Part 10, and my accession day of King Charles III Sermon of 2023, entitled, Old Testament Messianic Prophecies Part 12a, I have previously referred to the fulfilment of Isaiah 61, 1 and 2, up to the acceptable year of the Lord at St Luke 4, where Christ saith in St Luke 4.21, this day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. But I didn't in those sermons mention the issue that in Christ's reading of the book of Isaiah in St Luke 4, 18 and 19, he read from both Isaiah 61, 1 and 2, and Isaiah 42, 7, in that between the Isaiah 61 words in the Hebrew to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the words in the Hebrew and the opening of the prison to them that are bound, He either himself rendered it, or used a manuscript scroll that included this Greek Septuagint Isaiah 42.7 Hebraic synonymous poetical parallelism meaning. But unlike the Greek Septuagint at Isaiah 61.1 and 2, also retained the Hebrew words. And so it also uses Isaiah 42.7 as an explanation of Isaiah 61.1 and 2's meaning. Now, in broad terms, St Luke 4, 18 and 19 is clearly a Septuagint reading of Isaiah 61, 1 and 2, with only two differences to the Greek Septuagint texts that I generally consult, which are Sir Lancelot Brenton's Constantinople-Leon text, Greek-English Septuagint of 1851, as reprinted by Hendrickson from 1986, and Ralph Hanhart's neo-Alexandrian text, Greek Septuagint of 1935 and 2006, published by United Bible Societies. This raises the question, did Christ read from a Greek Septuagint translation that he modified, or was he reading from a Greek Septuagint manuscript scroll that contained one or both of these variants? Now, the textual apparatuses of both of these Greek Septuagint texts are selective, and so I don't know if their composers simply left out these two variants, or if their composers simply knew of no manuscripts with these variants. But either way, we clearly find these two variants in ancient times in St Luke 4. Now, while both of the Septuagint texts I generally use have critical textual apparatuses. There are two relevant variants at Luke 4, 18 and 19, but at Isaiah 61, 1 and 2, neither of them show the two variants found at St Luke 4, 18 and 19. The first variant we shall consider is the St Luke 4.19 rendering to preach, in the words, to preach, deliverance to the captives, which on the basis of Isaiah 35.5 verse 42.7 is synonymous with the opening of the eyes of the blind, and Luke 4.18, Here follows this point as found in the Greek Septuagint in the reading with a dynamic equivalent of recovering of the sight to the blind in the words to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of the sight to the blind. And so this is teaching an evangelical gospel message as an object lesson in Christ's miracles. But at Luke 4.18, the words to preach at, to preach deliverance to the captives, is Greek, kairakai, an infinitive active aorist verb from kairasso, rather than the Septuagint's to proclaim, which is Greek, kalesai, an infinitive active aorist verb from kaleo. Now in Hebrew a kal verb is an un-nuanced verb and is spelt in higher culture English as k-a-l as one does not use a q unless followed by a u for a kw sound as in quick for living in article 8 of the Apostles' Creed. And going to Isaiah 61, 1-2 in the Hebrew, other than the exceptions of two pael verbs used for to comfort, all that mourn, which is not here quoted in Luke 4, and one other we shall in due course come to, Throughout Isaiah 61, 1 and 2, Kal verbs are used for hath anointed, and the verbal part of the compound words hath sent, to bind and to bound, for instance, to proclaim, in the wider words, to proclaim liberty to the captives, is the compound word Likro, consisting of li, a preposition meaning to, and kro, an infinitive kal verb from kara. And so both Greek readings, that is, the Septuagint's usage at Isaiah 61.1 of kaleo, meaning to proclaim, or Christ's usage at Luke 4.18 of kairoso, meaning to preach or to proclaim, are possible translations of the Hebrew. But the fact the Septuagint, which is generally being followed in Luke 4.18 and 19, is not here followed, indicates something is being highlighted for our consideration. Now, looking at the Hebrew of Isaiah 61, 1, and 2, this highlight on to preach, deliverance to the captives, or to proclaim liberty to the captives, contextually acts to create a contrast between the proclaim words, that Christ will proclaim liberty to the captives, with an un-nuanced cal-verb, and the words that the Christ will proclaim or preach good tidings. Now, to preach good tidings is Hebrew, a compound word consisting of the preposition la, meaning to, and baseir, an infinitive pl verb from basa, which can mean preach or declare. However, the Greek is not capable of conveying the Hebrew pial nuance for preach or declare in the Hebrew of Isaiah 61.1, to preach good tidings. The Greek of Luke 4.18, to preach the gospel, is in the Hebrew pial stem for this verb. For in Hebrew, the Piael stem may be used, as here, to express an intensive action with an active voice, in which by an active voice is meant that the subject of the verb, which is here the man in question, to it the Christ, is performing the action of the verb, which is here preaching the glad tidings or gospel. And Ganesius' Hebrew grammar, as revised in 1910 by Cowley, in a selective quote of relevance to the meaning here, says, quote, the fundamental idea of Piel is to busy oneself eagerly with the action indicated by the stem. This intensifying of the idea of the stem appears as a strengthening and repetition of the action, and may also consist in urging and causing others to do the same. Hence Piel has also a causative sense." And so what that means at Isaiah 61.1 is that the then coming Christ will be busying himself eagerly in repeatedly preaching the gospel again and again and again. Something we see in the four gospels in, for example, the way he uses miracles as object lessons for gospel truths. And this eager pursuit may involve urging and causing others to do the same thing. And we see this in the way Christ both appointed 12 disciples and 70 out of disciples in Luke 6, 14 to 16 and 10, 1 and 17. For example, in Mark 6, 12, his 12 apostles went out and preached that men should repent. And we see this also in the Great Commission of Matthew 28, 19 and 20, where Christ says, Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. And so, both Christ's preaching of the gospel, and His causing others to do the same, is part of the prophetic fulfillment found in the nuance of the Hebrew pael verb of Isaiah 61.1, which says that Christ is to preach good tidings. A nuance that cannot be rendered with any equivalent in Greek, Latin or English, but it can be explained, as I have done. And so, as an Evangelical Protestant Christian, I would recognize that not just Christ's preaching of the Gospel, but also His causing of others to preach the Gospel, with, for example, His 12 apostles and 70 outer disciples, and the Great Commission, and Ephesians 4.11 giving of evangelists, through to this very day. and up till the second advent are all elements of the Hebrew PIL verb of Isaiah 61.1 which says that Christ is to preach good tidings, or preach the gospel. And so this raises the question, why at St Luke 4.19 did Christ use a different Greek rendering of Kairosso for to preach, rather than the normative, kaleo, for to declare, for the words to preach deliverance to the captives, which forms a contextual comparison with to preach the gospel. Now, while the answer is interpretive, and I do not claim infallibility of interpretation of the infallible book, I would say that in the first place this is to create a contrast between a general Septuagint quote and the quote Christ used, so as to lead us to look at the underpinning Hebrew. And in the second place, when we look at to preach deliverance to the captives at St Luke 4.18 in the underpinning Hebrew of Isaiah 61.1 and 2, We find that with reference to the words to proclaim liberty to the captives, this acts to create a contrast between two fundamentally different types of preaching or proclaiming, in terms of their longevity of usage. Thus, with reference to the underpinning Hebrew, in the Greek words of St Luke 4.18, to preach the gospel, this shows firstly Christ's evangelical focus on preaching the gospel. Secondly, this is a pointer for us to look at the underpinning Hebrew of the two different Greek rendering readings, in order for us to appreciate the evangelical element in the Hebrew nuance of the Pael verb at Isaiah 60.1.1, which is untranslatable into the Greek, but which acts to point to not just Christ busying Himself eagerly, with his repetitious evangelical action to preach good tidings or to preach the gospel, but also his urging and causing others to do the same. By contrast, the Cal verb for to proclaim liberty to the captives is un-nuanced, and so in this contrast indicates this is more isolated in time to the advent of the then coming Christ. And thirdly, in synthesis of these first two points, with respect to the words to preach good tidings, or to preach the gospel, we should therefore better understand, better pre-appreciate the profundity of Holy Scripture with respect to this amazing prophecy and its fulfillment. in both Christ and the ongoing evangelical work of preaching the gospel, and so for us to better recognize the importance of being evangelicals who support a focus on gospel preaching up till the second advent. And by contrast with the Cal verb in the underpinning Hebrew, for to preach deliverance to the captives, which is contextually synonymous with and recovering of the sight to the blind. This, therefore, doesn't have this ongoing element up till the Second Advent. Rather, this type of miracle to preach deliverance to the captives, which means, as stated in St Luke 4.18, recovery of sight to the blind, which is correct in reference to Isaiah 35.5 and 42.7, as combined in a Greek Septuagint dynamic equivalent in Isaiah 61.1, which is used in St Luke 4.18, means the work of Christ in recovering of sight to the blind is limited in time to the era of Christ's appearing as a physical miracle, which in its fulfillment, we find limited in time to both Christ and His disciples of New Testament times in the first century AD. Thus, taking into account the words of St. Matthew 9.33, and when the devil was cast out, the dumb spake, indicating dumbness may occur in connection with devil possession, and St. Matthew 9.35, in which Jesus went about teaching and preaching the gospel and healing every sickness and every disease among the people, With the words of his commission to the apostles in Mark 6.15, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Verse 17, And these signs shall follow them that believe. In my name they shall cast out devils. Verse 18, They shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Then, when we look at the book of Acts in, for example, Acts 5.16, which says, with respect to the miraculous healings under the apostle St. Peter, there came a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folk and them which were vexed with unclean spirits, and they were healed every one. This is a continuation of Christ's type of miracles as an authentication, authentication of the apostles. There is There is in Acts a different type of healing of the blind which is put in the context of God first supernaturally blinding someone and then him being healed, such as occurred with Saul on the road to Damascus in, for example, Acts 9, 8 to 18. And also judgment at the hands of St. Paul against the sorcerer in Acts 13, 11. But in terms of this more general type of crisis, healing in Isaiah 35 5 and 6 of the blind deaf and dumb as with making the lame man speak as Continued by Christ's disciple in the books of Acts with Acts 5 16 or st. Peter Saying to the lame man in Acts 3 6 in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk Please note. This is being done by Jesus Christ through his Apostle we find in that this was limited in the first instance to the Christ, and in the second instance to his disciples, both in the Gospels. For example, St. Matthew 10.1 says, And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease, as an authentication of the apostolic ministry. And importantly, this ministry of his disciples Was still Jesus Christ healing in fulfillment of Isaiah 35, 5 and 6, as seen in the aforementioned words of Acts 3, 6, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. Also repeated in 3, 16 and 4, 10. And those of Acts 9, where St. Peter says to the man sick of the palsy in verse 34, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole. arise and make thy bed and he and he rose immediately which in the context of Luke acts clearly manifests Christ's character and healing actions in the gospel story of st. Luke 5 17 to 26 where to a man in a bed Jesus says man thy sins are forgiven thee and as an object lesson says that you may know that the son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins he said under the sick of the palsy I say unto thee arise and take up thy couch and go into thy thine house and immediately he rose up before him and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God." And in Acts 9, the Mark 16, 15 evangelical element, "...go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature," is also then evident in the following words of Acts 9.35, "...and all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord." And so these type of miracles, therefore, were to cease in broad terms in the first century A.D. as these disciples died out. And we got the completed divine revelation of God to man with the final Amen in the Book of Revelation. And so we here find that in the Greek of St. Luke 4, 18 and 19, God is asking us to look at the Hebrew of Isaiah 61, 1 and 2, and in the Hebrew quoted in St. Luke 4, 18 and 19, God is asking us to look at the distinction manifested in Christ's public ministry of healing the blind, deaf, dumb and lame as an object lesson of His spiritual power, as continued by His disciples to authenticate their proclamation of Christ, who is the one still doing the healing. But in the Hebrew Kalverb usage of this type of preaching, which is to preach deliverance to the captives, or to proclaim liberty to the captives, that is, recovery of the sight to the blind, as a guaranteed outward physical miracle, it is to come to an end with New Testament times. And in contrast to this, the Hebrew pael verb usage of to preach good tidings or to preach the gospel is an ongoing gospel ministry up till the second advent. And so for those who have St Luke 8, 8 and 1435, who have the St Luke 8, 8 and 1435 ears to hear, or St Matthew 13, 16, eyes for they see and ears for they hear. There's an important message for us in the first difference in the Greek of St Luke 4, 18 and 19 in terms of its departure from what in general is a Septuagint quote. Now the second difference in the Greek between the Septuagint and Luke 4, 18 and 19 is at verse 18. And once again, it's not shown in the textual apparatuses of the two Greek Septuagint texts that I generally consult, of Brenton's Constantinoplean text and Ralph Hanhart's Neo-Alexandrian text. And as previously stated, this raises the question, did Christ read from a Greek Septuagint translation that he modified? Or was he reading from a Greek Septuagint manuscript scroll that contained one or both of these variants? And this second difference is the St Luke 418 rendering. that combines the Septuagint's and recovery of sight to the blind with the Hebrew and the opening of prison to them that are bound. And hence St. Luke 4, 16-19 says of Christ in the Nazareth synagogue, And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And so, understood as an Isaiah 42.7 explanation of Isaiah 61.1 and 2, the reading from what St Luke 4.17 calls the book of the prophet Isaiah certainly is from this book of Isaiah, even though it's using a manuscript scroll that's combining verses from different parts with Isaiah 42.7 and 61.1 and 2. But whether or not one is or is not using a Greek Septuagint manuscript of Isaiah 61 that does or does not retain the Hebrew after the Greek Septuagint dynamic equivalent of, and recovery of sight to the blind, for the Hebrew and the opening of the prison to them that are bound, either way, one of the big points is that the Hebraic synonymous poetical parallelism of Isaiah 42.7 requires that a spiritual blindness is to be healed by the then coming Messiah that equates coming out of a spiritual prison of spiritual darkness. And the Isaiah 42.7 replication of Isaiah 35.5 requires that the then coming Christ's miracles of physical healing of blind people will be an object lesson pointing to the fact that He gives spiritual sight to the believer and spiritually heals him. Now, this is also... very relevant to the fact that in St. John's Gospel, light is used to represent spiritual teaching. Hence Christ is repeatedly referred to as light. For instance, St. John 1, 4 and 5 says, In him was life and the light, sorry, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not. St. John 1, 9 says, He is that true light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. In St. John 3.19 Christ refers to that light is come into the world. in the immediate context of the teaching of such scriptures as St. John 3.16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Saying further in St. John 3.21, He that doeth truth cometh to the light. In St. John 8.12, Christ saith, I am the light of the world. He that followeth me shall not walk in darkness. but shall have the light of life. And again in St. John 9.5, I am the light of the world. And he saith in St. John 12.36, While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. And in verse 46, I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And so, this is all very relevant to the words of Isaiah 35, 4-5, He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened. With reference to Isaiah 42, 6b and 7, where the then coming Christ is said to be a light of the Gentiles, to open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. as also repeated in the messianic prophecy of Isaiah 61, 1 and 2 in the words, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that abound. For in John 9 there is the healing of the man blind from his birth, and as further discussed in my July 2010 sermon entitled Biblical Archaeology, Jesus uses this miracle as an object lesson because he says in John 9, 4-7, I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day. The night cometh, when no man can work, as long as I am in the world. I am the light of the world. When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle. And he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, and said unto him, Go wash in the pool of Siloam, which is by interpretation sent. He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing. So, the point is that Jesus gave physical sight to a physically blind man as an object lesson and proof of the fact that He gives spiritual sight and light to the spiritually blind through the gospel of salvation unto eternal life. Now, I thank God I was privileged to visit Israel in February 2002. And if, as I did, one goes through Hezekiah's tunnel, the Pool of Siloam is a most welcome exit point, because it's quite literally the light at the end of the tunnel. And so likewise for this blind man, the Pool of Siloam was literally the light at the end of the tunnel. And so for us also, who have saving faith in Jesus Christ, as the only begotten Son of God, sent by God the Father into the world to save sinners, for us, Christ, is the spiritual light at the end of the tunnel. And so while I make qualifications Firstly, these miracles of physical healing by Jesus are object lessons to show certain spiritual truths, in the case of Christ, to do with his messiahship and role as saviour, and in the case of his apostles' miracles, to show they had Christ's authority as apostles to preach the gospel, in which it was Christ who was still doing the healing. And we now have these truths in the completed Word of God, which is why such miracles ceased after New Testament times. Although there is still a non-guaranteed miraculous healing that might occur in conjunction with the best available medicine, which is usually no longer the St. Luke 20, 34 and James 5, 4 oil, as stated in James 5, 14, pray that ye may be healed, which is subject to the words of the Lord's Prayer in St. Matthew 6, 9 and 10, Our Father which art in heaven, thy will be done. And it's not always the Lord's will to so heal someone, as seen in 2 Corinthians 12, 7-9, where St Paul had a thorn in the flesh. There is also overlap at times. For example, as teacher, Christ saith in St John 4.6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. And in miracles, Christ acted as a teacher. For example, when he raised the dead as an object, a lesson pointing to his power to give everlasting life in St Matthew 9, St Mark 5, St Luke 7, and St John 11. And thirdly, I have made only a slim selection from the four Gospels of all of Christ's miracles. Nevertheless, the examples that have been given of Christ's miracles in the four Gospels are sufficient to show that in His public ministry as the prophesied Christ, Jesus Christ of Nazareth wonderfully fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 35, 4-6. He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened and the ears of the deaf shall be stopped. Then shall the lame man leap as a heart and the tongue of the dumb sing. What a truly amazing fulfillment Jesus Christ is of biblical prophecy in Isaiah 35, 4-6. And what a clear evidence this is of the divine inspiration of Holy Scripture. And since Christ so wonderfully fulfilled these elements at the first advent, We can also be confident He will fulfill other Second Advent elements of Isaiah 35 and elsewhere at His Second Coming, such as also found in the time gap of Isaiah 61 with the Day of Vengeance of our God at Christ's Second Advent. For as stated in Article 8 of the Apostles' Creed and taught in 2 Timothy 4.1, the Lord Jesus Christ shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom. And so, in these Old Testament messianic prophecies, we have considered in today's Papists Conspiracy Day Sermon of 2024, entitled Old Testament Messianic Prophecies, Part 13, on prophecies of Christ's public ministry. Firstly, Christ's usage of parables in Psalm 78.2, and secondly, Christ's usage of miracles in Isaiah 35.5 and 6a, in connection also with Deuteronomy 18. This is a non-exhaustive list of Old Testament prophesied matters in the then coming Christ's public ministry, which shall be continued in the next sermon in this series, Old Testament Messianic Prophecies, Part 14. Now, in these two areas we have considered today, In the relevant Old Testament Messianic prophecies, we see the shadowy outline of the then coming Christ's public ministry, as foretold hundreds and hundreds of years before it happened. But that shadowy outline of the prophesied Messiah or Messiah or Christ is enough for us to identify this as Jesus Christ of Nazareth and none other. And we find the amazing detail of this Holy Christ in the four Holy Gospels of St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke, and St. John. And indeed, in St. Matthew 13, 17, Christ saith, Verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them, and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them. But we are privileged to know of these things, for we have the completed divine revelation of God in the 39 canonical Old Testament and 27 canonical New Testament books of the Holy Bible, in which the Messianic prophecies we have considered today are one example, though by no means the only example, of the wider principle that we use the four Holy Gospels to better understand the rest of Holy Scripture, and the rest of Holy Scripture to better understand the four Holy Gospels. This same teaching is found elsewhere in Scripture, such as in Luke-Acts, which shows the outworking of the St. Luke's Gospel and the other three Gospels in the early church history of Acts, or Hebrews 1, 1 and 2 says, God, who at sundry times and in diverse manners spake in times past unto the fathers by the prophets hath in these last days spoken unto us by his son whom he hath appointed heir of all things by whom also he made the worlds and this teaching is also manifested in church tradition in the fact that in the Anglican 1662 Book of Common Prayer, at either Ante-Communion or Communion, following the epistle of the day or portion of scripture appointed for the epistle, the people stand up to hear the reading from the Holy Gospel, after which, still standing, they make their profession of faith by reciting the Annicene Creed, which in broad terms is a defense of the Apostles' Creed. Now, the Holy Apostle Saint Peter saith in 1 Peter 1, 10 and 11, Of salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you, searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory that should follow. And in Isaiah 53, 1, Holy Isaiah saith, who hath believed our report, And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? And a similar type of prophecy was also considered with respect to Christ's parables earlier in this sermon. When in Isaiah 6, 9 and 10 God said, Go and tell this people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not, and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes, lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. And of Christ, St John 12, 37-43, saith, But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him. Though the saying of Isaiah's, The prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their hearts, that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. These things said Isaiah when he saw His glory, and spake of Him. Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue, for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. And so for anyone come for any who come under the sound of this message who's seeing this and other amazing fulfillments of biblical prophecy of the Messiah's or Christ's miracles being met in Jesus Christ of Nazareth as well as the other matters we have considered of Christ's prophesied ministry to the Gentiles and Christ's prophesied usage of parables for any who have believed on him but who do not wish to confess him For they love the praise of men more than the praise of God. Now is a good time to heed the words of this same Christ in St. Mark 115, repent ye and believe the gospel, and to seek the eternal praise of God rather than the fleeting praise of men. Christ saith in St. John 3.16 For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And with respect to Christ's fulfilling the Deuteronomy 18, 15 and 18 prophecy by miracles, when those men had seen the miracles that Jesus did in the feeding of the 5,000 in St. John 6, 14, they said, this is of a truth, that prophet, that should come into the world. And in the previous chapter of St. John 5, 39-47, that's the Holy Gospel according to St. John, chapter 5, beginning at verse 39. To certain Jews who did not have the St. John 3.16 saving faith in Him, as the only begotten Son of God and Saviour of the world, Jesus Christ saith, Search the Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life, and they are they which testify of Me. And ye will not come to me that ye might have life. I receive not honour from men, but I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not. If another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. How can ye believe which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed Me. For he wrote of Me. For if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe My words? We have in this sermon heard from the writings of Holy Moses in Deuteronomy 18. pointing to Jesus Christ as that prophet that should come into the world. Who is the prophet of prophets? For He is the Messiah, or Messiahs, or Christ. And so anyone who comes under the sound of this message, who has not already done so, needs to turn in repentance from sin as found chiefly in the Ten Commandments of Exodus 20, and have saving faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. For this same Christ whose public ministry we have today considered in the New Testament's four Gospels, as amazingly foretold hundreds and hundreds of years before in Old Testament Messianic prophecy, saith in St. John 5, 46 and 47, For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me, for he wrote of me. For if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? And this same Christ saith in St. Mark 1, 15, Repent ye, and believe the Gospel. Repentance requires turning from sin, as found chiefly in the Ten Commandments of Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5. And to give just three examples, of special relevance to this Papers Conspiracy Day 2024. The 1662 Book of Common Prayer Anglican Office of Papers Conspiracy Day from 1662 to 1859 states that if there be no sermon then shall we read one of the six homilies in the 39 articles article 35 book 2 homily 21 and this homily part 6 says with reference to revelation 13 14 and 17 in harmony with the protestant historicist school of prophetic interpretation that recognizes the pope of rome as the antichrist that quote the bishop of rome's the babylonical beast of rome unquote and refers to this his quote images under which idolatry was committed But, lest the poor people should know too much, the Bishop of Rome would not let them have as much of God's Word as the Ten Commandments, holy and perfectly, withdrawing from them the Second Commandment." For in harmony with the prophecies of Daniel 11, 38 and 39, Revelation 13, 14 to 18 and 14, 8 to 12, that Antichrist is an idolater, thus creating the contrast in Revelation 14, 9 and 12 between an idolatrous, hopish image and obedience to the commandments of God by the saints of God with the faith of Jesus. Daniel 7.25 says the papal Antichrist shall think to change laws. and the Roman Church changes the Ten Commandments by removing the Second Commandment and splitting the Ten Commandments into two to get the number 10 back. Now, while I generally follow the New Testament in using the summary form of the Decalogue, at, for example, St Matthew 19.18 and Romans 7.7 and 13.9, in its fuller form at Exodus 20, the second precept is, Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth, Beneath, or that is in the water under the earth, thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them. For I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments. The Roman Catholic attack on the Second Commandment includes, for example, the following three issues. Firstly, with regard to Romanist statue and icon idols, for example, of Mary, Article 22 of the Anglican 39 article says, quote, the Romish doctrine concerning worshipping and adoration as well of images and also invocation of saints is a fond thing vainly invented and grounded upon no warranty of scripture. but rather repugnant to the Word of God." And Part 2, Article 2, Sections 25 and 26 of the Lutheran Small-Called Articles say with respect to the Papal Antichrist, quote, "...invocation of saints is one of the abuses of Antichrist, for this is idolatry, and such honour belongs to God alone." Secondly, the idolatry of the Roman mass in connection with the transubstantiation heresy, referred to in the Anglican Protestant 1662 Book of Common Prayer final rubric at the communion service as idolatry, when it says, quote, no adoration ought to be done. either unto the sacramental bread or wine there bodily received, or unto any corporeal presence of Christ's natural flesh and blood. For the sacramental bread and wine remain still in their very substances, and therefore must not be adored, for that were idolatry to be aboard. of all faithful Christians, and the natural body and blood of our Saviour Christ are in heaven, and not here, it being against the truth of Christ's natural body, to be at one time in more places than one." Likewise, among Protestants, the Presbyterian Westminster Confession 29.6 followed in the Congregationalist Savoy Declaration 36 and Baptist Confession 36 says, That doctrine which maintains a change of the substance of bread and wine into the substance of Christ's body and blood, commonly called transubstantiation by consecration of a priest, is repugnant to Scripture, overthroweth the nature of the sacrament, and is the cause of manifold superstitions, yea, of gross idolatries." Thus, part 2, article 2, section 1 of the Lutheran small called article says, quote, the mass in the papacy must be the greatest and most horrible abomination and above and before all other popish idolatries it hath been the chief and most specious, unquote. And thirdly, the principle in the fuller form of the second commandment of Exodus 20 verse 5 and Deuteronomy 5.9 of visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children under the third and fourth generation in its application to mixed marriages in Deuteronomy 23.2-8 This is seen in Romish mixed-race southern Europe, or South America, and refined in violation of the 1st, 2nd, and 10th Commandments by Ephesians 5.5 lust idols, the Roman Church also promotes the ungodly lust idol of so-called human rights, which are actually human wrongs. Saying in the Vatican II Council of 1963 to 1965, in the Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World, Chapter 2, Section 29, for example, Discrimination on the grounds of race, colour, language or religion must be curbed and eradicated." Rome's stated desire that discrimination on the grounds of religion be eradicated is a ruse that underpins both its commitment to the ecumenical compromise from which it hopes to gain support that it can use in the longer term to unite all religions under itself, in the Revelation 13 Mark of the Beast worldwide Romish Inquisition. For example, the Roman Catholic LifeSite news of 13 September 2024 reported that, quote, Pope Francis told people in Singapore that, sub-quote, every religion is a way to arrive at God. There are different languages to arrive at God, but God is God for all. And how is God God for all? We are all sons and daughters of God. There is only one God, and each of us has a language to arrive at God. Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian, they are different paths." End subquote, end quote. And the Roman Catholic LifeSite News of 13 September 2024 also reported that in discussing the USA presidential election, quote, during a nearly 45-minute press conference aboard the papal plane on his way back from a 12-day visit to Indonesia and other Asiatic countries, Pope Francis supports mass migration. Subquote. Sending migrants away, not giving migrants ability to work, not giving migrants welcome is a sin. It's serious. End subquote. Francis comments about immigration are a swipe at Donald Trump, who has repeatedly drawn attention to persons in the US illegally, unquote. And this former USA president has said he will, quote, deport up to 20 million of them if he is re-elected, end quote. And concerning those elements of the second commandment's fuller form on God's punishment in its application to racially mixed marriages in Deuteronomy 23, 2-8, The Roman Catholic Church also helped initiate the so-called sexual revolution in the Western world, with redefining traditional marriage in historically predominant Protestant lands, such as the USA. seen in the Californian Supreme Court's 1948 Perez's case involving an interracial marriage between two papists that had a Church of Rome supported legal action, which was the first case to strike down a USA state's anti-miscegenation statute. And a follow-up to this then occurred some 20 years later with a submission brief by 11 Romish bishops, including four Popish archbishops, showing their connection with the USA Supreme Court's very bad 1967 Dick Loving case, which wickedly redefined marriage by striking down all USA anti-miscegenation statutes, thus that prohibited racially mixed marriages. And in harmony With the words of our Holy Christ in St. Matthew 24, 37 to 39, as also foretold in Daniel 2, 43 and 44, racially mixed marriages are to be a problem just before Christ's return by nation murderers attacking race-based and linguistic cultural nationalism, with special reference to white, geophetic Caucasian nations as injured and hurt by the influence of race-mixing ideology generated from the Romanist delusion in 1 Daniel 2, foot, and the Mohammedan delusion in the other, Daniel 2, foot. in connection with the aforementioned Anglican 39 articles teaching that, quote, the Bishop of Rome's the Babylonical beast of Rome, unquote, which, although I earlier highlighted with a reference to Revelation 13, 14 and 17, is in broad brush terms inclusive of all usage of the term Babylon for papal Rome in the book of Revelation, for example, Revelation 14, 8. Babylon is fallen, is fallen, or in 1609, Great Babylon, or in 1705, Mystery Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth. It should be remembered that Babylon is the same name as Babel, in the Tower of Babel story of Genesis 11, 1 to 9. And so in Daniel 2, 43 and 44, this name points to Rome's sin of nation murder, via generalised or large-scale race mixing, as opposed to a very small assimilation intake under the Deuteronomy 32 2-8 bastardy generations. And as discussed in my 2014 and 2015 book, Creation Not Macroevolution, Mind the Gap, Nimrod in Genesis 10 can, in my opinion, be identified as Sargon of Akkad in the 3rd millennium BC, the beginning of whose kingdom was Babel, as elucidated upon in the Genesis 11 account of the Tower of Babel. And Genesis 10.8 says, Kush begat Nimrod, for he was a half-breed Hermitic Negro and Semitic Semite, and a politically powerful one. And we sadly see this type of thing today in both church and state. For example, though it grieves me to say so, the incumbent Anglican Archbishop of Sydney is of Sri Lankan or Silanese Dravidian descent, in a mixed marriage with a white woman, by whom he has had two half-breed children, as stated in Hosea 5.7 by Holy Hosea, they have dealt treacherously against the Lord, for they have begotten strange children. I knew the Archbishop's white wife while she and her sister were girls in the 1970s and through to women in the 1980s. And though usually when I saw them I am relieved to say their ghastly mother was not present, occasionally I had the displeasure of seeing one or both of them in the presence of their hostile and immoral mother. who had married the later father of the two girls after he was a divorcee, excommunicated in connection with his habitual drunkenness and divorce, although such excommunications later ceased, as did the associated closed communion services. And I came across this coloured man who is now Archbishop from the 1980s on, both at Sydney University and later, for instance, when he was a student at Moore College. I spoke to him about his need to repent of this sin, of his racially mixed marriage, which he has never done. Something I reminded him of when he was later the Dean of Sydney. A second of three examples of the need for repentance of special relevance to this Papists' Conspiracy Day sermon is a false god found in the lust idol of gambling, contrary to the first, second and tenth commandments. The Protestant Christian state of England, which existed into the 19th century, was generally good but not perfect, bearing in mind, on the one hand, the reformed doctrine of election in Article 17 of the Anglican Thirty-Nine Articles, found in, for example, the books of Romans and Ephesians, and, on the other hand, the establishment principle in Article 37 of the Thirty-Nine Articles, found in, for example, Psalm 2 10 to 12 or Isaiah 49 22 and 23 And the words of Christ in St. Matthew 13, 29, and 13, lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them, let both grow together until the harvest of the second advent. Under the distinction made of prohibiting what was regarded as excessive gambling, in contrast to gambling per se, most forms of gambling were prohibited, such as gambling houses, although limited gambling was allowed. For instance, a number of horse races that were permitted and regulated. But Sir William Blackstone's commentaries on the laws of England record some tragic stories of how gambling had, quote, been attended with a sudden ruin and desolation of families, and too often have ended in self-murder, unquote. And to the extent that it was known that under these laws some men were violating the first, second and tenth commandments with the last idol of gambling, and some were then further violating the sixth commandment by self-murder, I consider the restrictive laws on gambling were not sufficiently restrictive. But the secular state has gone in the very opposite direction and further legalized various forms of gambling that were prohibited, such as gaming or gambling houses and far more unregulated horse races. And one element of this is found in Australia with the Melbourne Cup horse race being held today. So that as with the USA presidential elections being held today, we see how the secular state in Australia and the USA has put events around this time that seek to subvert the historic celebration of Protestantism on 5 November with Papers Conspiracy Day. And likewise, they've tried to subvert the celebration of Eve of All Saints Day or Reformation Day. on 31 October, remembering Luther's 95 Theses in 1517, at the start of the Reformation, with their allowance and promotion of the satanic witchcraft counterfeit celebration of Halloween. And contrary to the Fourth Commandment, they also do the same with various laws seeking to subvert the sanctity of the Christian Sunday. And in this context, I note that last Sunday, being the nearby Sunday to Reformation Day on 31 October, was Reformation Sunday. And in terms of a third example of repentance requiring returning from sin as found chiefly in the Holy Decalogue of Exodus 20. That's of relevance to this paper's conspiracy date 2024. The USA presidential elections are being held today. And there are two gruesome and ugly alternatives, both of whom are willfully unrepentant decalogue breakers, opposing the question, who is the lesser evil? For we find the Democrats have a candidate who was first made vice president by a popish, pro-mass-murdering abortion president, Butcher Biden, who not only sets aside the Sixth Commandment, thou shalt not kill, but also the Seventh and Tenth Commandments as a political activist in promoting unnatural acts of sodomy and sapphism and genital mutilation, sex changes, and who himself had earlier been made a vice president by a negroid Caucasian half-breed president. And Butcher Biden's vice president is the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, the sex-role pervert and nasty part-breed murderess, Kamala Harris, who, like all anti-patriarchal sex-role perverts, lives in violation of the Tenth Commandment, thou shalt not covet. due to religious apostasy and religiously mixed marriage breaches of the First and Second Commandments, and racially mixed marriage breaches of the Second, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Commandments. She's a part-breed, who on the patrilineal Harrah side is of Jamaican descent, that's religiously apostate Protestant, Perseid Anglican. and racially is predominantly Negroid mixed apparently with some lesser Caucasian Caucasoid and on the matrilineal side is religiously heathen Hindu in which her first name Kamala is the name of a heathen Hindu goddess and her second name Devi is a heathen Hindu name meaning goddess and this matrilineal heathen Hindu side is racially Dravidian Australoid from Madras in southern India, and so Kamala Harris is from both a religiously apostate, semi-Romanist, Puseid Anglican and heathen, Hindu, religiously mixed marriage. That's also a racially mixed marriage with elements of Negroid, Caucasian Caucasoid and Dravidian Australoid. And part-breed murderess, Kamala Harris is by religion an apostate Protestant Baptist who's in a religiously and racially mixed marriage with a Jew of Polish Ashkenazi descent. in which on the basis of genetic findings made with some reference to anthropological phenotype, in general, the Ashkenazims are a variable Caucasian-Caucasoided mixture of about 58.5% plus or minus 11.5% Caucasian and about 41.5% plus or minus 11.5% Mediterranean Caucasoid, or in rounded numbers, about 60% plus or minus 10% Caucasian, and about 40% plus or minus 10% Mediterranean Caucasoid. So that in general, Ashkenazims are intermediate between Caucasian Mediterranean half breeds and quarter breeds. However, their case is unusual for multiple reasons. historically making Jews both religiously and racially a special case, permitted with qualification in white Protestant Christian lands. And one of those qualifications is that from their end, the Jews will discourage and stigmatize religiously mixed marriages between Jews and Christians. One of their unusual features is their racial admixture involves the intermixing of two master races from Genesis 9, 26 and 27, in which the white Caucasian from Jaffeth have unmatched creative genius and the Jewish race from Shem has unmatched historic recognition and maintenance of monotheism. And whilst the admixture of these two races is highly undesirable, Nevertheless, where it occurs, something of the genius of these two master racers might be, although not necessarily is, preserved. A fact evident in Albert Einstein, who was of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, whose discovery of E equals MC squared reflects his Aryan race qualities, while his associated recognition and maintenance of monotheism in connection with the ramifications of E equals MC squared for God as first cause reflects his Jewish race qualities. Such a potential for the survival of Aryan qualities is rare with Jewish race admixture and unknown in any other admixtures. But Kamala Harris's Jewish husband has publicly been involved in the interfaith compromise and with him she's had two part-breed children. And so the Democratic Party candidate supports the interfaith compromise, and a part-breed pro-abortion murderess, sex-role pervert, and a nasty part-breed murderess, Kamala Harris's vice presidential candidate is Minnesota Governor Killer Timothy Walls, who left the Roman Church to become a religiously liberal apostate Protestant of the Lutheran Church, who contrary to the Sixth Commandment, thou shalt not kill. In January 2023, signed a Minnesota pro-abortion law, in a state allowing late-term abortion, and so making mass murder abortion available up till birth. And in April 2023, also signed another pro-abortion law, for example, cutting funding to anti-abortion crisis pregnancy centers. Concerning lust idols, contrary to the First, Second and Tenth Commandments, in May 2023 has signed a law to decriminalize cannabis or marijuana usage in Minnesota. And contrary to the Genesis 9.27 mandate, under which the white man from Noah's son Japheth lawfully took possession of North America against the Red Indians, which like other mongoloids come from Shem's son Mash, with, for example, his promotion of heathen Red Indian savages' culture in school and theft of white man's lands under the Genesis 9.27 mandate being a morally given to Red Indian, Sue. Now the Republican Party's candidate is Dirty Donald Trump, formerly president, 2017 to 2021. And under USA constitutional law, the vice president must certify the electoral college votes in the presidential election. And in 2020 and 2021, dirty Donald Trump advised his Vice President, Mark Prince, to violate the 8th and 9th Commandments by fraudulently altering the vote to claim Trump had won. which thing Vice President Mike Pence wisely and correctly refused to do, resulting in a permanent rift between the two. Then, in April 2022, Trump was held to be in civil contempt for the withholding of documents in a New York business fraud case in which fraud is a violation of the 8th and 9th Commandments. And in May this year of 2024, he was found guilty of 34 felony crimes in New York in paying hush money to a pornography actress with whom, as a whoremonger, he went to this whore in violation of the 7th and 10th Commandments, although he has said he will appeal the court's decision. Admittedly, his 2024 prosecution earlier this year was politically motivated and orchestrated by Biden, who was motivated by a hope that Trump would lose votes from morally conservative persons. And the media also failed to recognize that the English word pornography relates to the New Testament Greek word porneia, meaning fornication. And the pornography actress is a whore, to be condemned as a grossly immoral figure, who lives by violation of the 7th and 10th commandments, who via a lawyer got $130,000 from him as hush money, contrary to, for example, the 9th commandment. Moreover, dirty Donald Trump is a political activist in promoting sodomite and sapphist marriage, who unlike in his successful 2016 election, when he was to a greater extent prepared to moderate his policies to gain the conservative white protestant christian vote, than he is in the 2024 election, also openly supports mass murder abortion of unborn babies of an unspecified age, somewhere over six weeks old. And he is a professed Protestant in a religiously mixed marriage with a Roman Catholic, and he has clearly adopted Romanist heresy for unlike the protest anglican protestant tradition as found in the 1662 book of common prayer where the black letter day of nativity of the blessed virgin mary on 8 september or the red letter day of saint michael and all angels day on 29 september are god-focused remembrances of these holy figures and article 22 of the 39 article says quote The Romish doctrine concerning worshipping and invocation of saints is a fond thing, vainly invented, and grounded upon no warranty of scripture. but rather is repugnant to the Word of God." We find that in what Revelation 13.6 calls blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven, that contrary to the third commandment, as in Roman Catholicism, the semi-Romanist Trump invoked Mary on 8 September with a, quote, Happy Birthday Mary, unquote. media post that included a mereolatrous picture of the Romanist idol of quote Our Lady of Guadalupe unquote with a shortened form of a Romish prayer of invocation in composed by Pope Leo the 13th in 1886 invoking Michael that was used in Romish low masses I should say he invoked Mary and it was used in Romish low masses before being dropped in connection with the Vatican to a council. And as a follow-up, The Roman Catholic LifeSite News of 24 October 2024 reported that a papist had presented Trump with a, quote, large image of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Miami, unquote. And so, with mereolatry, Trump is here setting aside the First and Second Commandments of the Holy Decalogue in an ecumenical compromise with Romanists. And a dirty Donald Trump's vice-presidential candidate, Vile Vance, who in antithesis to religiously conservative evangelical Protestantism was a modernist, heretic, Pentecostal, having been so brought up by his parents, whose surname, like Vance's before he changed it, was Bowman, and they were Montanist heretics in a Pentecostal church in southeast Ohio, USA. When I professed Christian with the Montanist heretics, he had never been baptized, a fact indicating a further lack of orthodoxy relevant to the five great symbols of the Christian faith. found in classic Protestant catechisms of the 16th and 17th centuries, to wit, the Apostles' Creed, Lord's Prayer, Ten Commandments, and Sacraments of Baptism and Communion. As a modernist heretic and unbaptized man professing to be a Christian, in 2014 Vance had a so-called interfaith marriage service with a heathen Hindu Indian woman. which, had he been an Orthodox Evangelical Protestant, would certainly have been contrary to such scriptures against interfaith marriages as 2 Corinthians 6.14, be ye not unequally yoked with unbelievers, and 1 Corinthians 7.39, which says there is only liberty for a Christian entering a marriage to be married in the Lord, and contrary to such scriptures against interracial marriages as 1 Corinthians 7.20, requiring that in marriage every man abide in the same racial and cultural calling wherein he was called. But Vile Vance, who was in fact a modernist Pentecostal heretic, and whose allegedly Christian religiously and racially mixed marriage further manifested his religious apostasy, proceeded further in apostasy when he became an atheist. He then came under the influence of a sodomite who is in a homosexual sodomite marriage and who was a religiously liberal professed Christian who introduced Vance to an unbiblical Roman Catholic French philosopher, Girard, who went to hell in 2015 and who claimed belief in a god arose from a victim of society first being persecuted as a source of disorder and then being venerated as a god, a view he then applied to the Christian Gospels, which he blasphemously claimed were typical of such an alleged mythological account, giving rise to a god in Christ. This blasphemous and heretical philosophy, which is one of a number of examples of what Colossians 2, 8 and 9 refers to in the words, beware, lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." This blasphemous philosophy and vain deceit that Vance was introduced to by a dirty, filthy, faggot, then attracted a vile Vance back from atheism to being a professed Christian. He then shacked up with the Revelation 12 Great Whore of Rome, committing spiritual fornication by becoming a papist in 2019 with a Roman Catholic administered baptism, in which he says his heathen Hindu wife helped him convert to papery. Now, for any Orthodox Christian, that is to say a religiously conservative Protestant Christian, with spiritual apprehension, it is clear that modernist Pentecostal heretics, atheists, sodomites, vain philosophers such as Girard, heathen Hindus and Papists, unless they are in transition out of these things to religiously conservative Protestantism, are all brats of the devil. And so Vance was simply moving around inside the fenced perimeters of the devil's playground. And so, now he is a popish person, married to a heathen Hindu Indian sex role pervert, in both a racially and religiously mixed marriage, by whom this filthy man has had three half-caste children. Yuck! And so, as seen in these religiously and racially mixed marriages and influence of Romanism, in which the devil has attacked white Protestant churches and lands by first getting the Church of Rome set up in them and then using Romanists as linchpins to promote some of his other false religions, as found in both USA presidential candidates, sin abounds, in both church and state, in the ecumenical compromise, and also interfaith compromise, contrary to the first and second commandments, as well as race mixing and nation murder, contrary to the second 5th, 7th and 10th commandments, and the directive will of God who created and segregated the races in Genesis 9 to 11. And also on many other issues such as sodomy, sapphism, anti-patriarchal sex role perversion, and abortion mass murder. So let us now consider with respect to the moral law of the Exodus 2010 commandments, the issue of which of the two 2024 USA presidential candidates is in relativistic terms worse than the other on a limited selection of certain specific issues. To the extent that Trump is actively promoting Romish mereolatry contrary to the first and second commandments, and purity of worship to God alone in the fourth commandment, and robbing God, the honour Jew, his holy name in the eighth commandment, in a relativistic sense Trump is worse than Kamala Harris. Furthermore, as stated in my 2012 sermon, the Mark of the Beast 666, an appendix of my book, The Roman Pope is the Antichrist, in regard to the still future Mark of the Beast era, from my Protestant historicist perspective, while I consider unqualified dogmatism is unwise, and so I allow that I could be wrong, and the popish image in the still future Mark of the Beast era might be something else, Nevertheless, while papal infallibility was claimed by the Bishop of Rome before 1870, it was formally promulgated with reference to him in the First Vatican Council of 1870. And it is notable that to date, this abomination, that maketh desolate, has been exclusively used to promote meriolatry, contrary to the Second Commandment. in which Mary is attributed divine attributes contrary to the First Commandment, as it was applied retrospectively to the 1854 papal claim of the so-called immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary in her mother Anne's womb, and also in the 1950 papal decrees on the so-called Assumption of Mary, so that the Revelation 13.11 and 16.13, false prophet of Romish so-called general or ecumenical councils, especially in their fullness from the time of the Lateran I Council in 1123, speaking under the name of the Vatican II Council of 1963 to 1965 in the Dogmatic Constitution of the Church, section 59 says, quote, the Immaculate Virgin preserved free from all stain of original sin, pious the Nine, bull, 8 December 1854, was taken up body and soul into heavenly glory, Pius IX, 1 November 1950, when her earthly life was over and exalted as Queen over all things, Pius XII, 11 October 1954. And so these three decrees of 1854, 1950 and 54 alone have been used for examples of papal infallibility at least to date. Here we see a popish trickery, deceivableness and lies in the abomination of alleged papal infallibility being used to make desolate the truth of the heavenly sanctuary ministry of Jesus Christ, whom Hebrews 4.4 calls our Great High Priest. For this alleged papal infallibility, has to date been exclusively used for meriolatry in 1854, 1950, and 1954, which seeks to partly dethrone King Christ by blasphemously claiming Mary as Queen of Heaven, wickedly attacks Christ as man's only mediator in the heretical claim of Mary co-mediator, wickedly attacks Christ as Redeemer in the blasphemous claim of Mary as co-redeemer, and more generally attacks justification by faith alone in the claim of stored graces of Mary and also other alleged saint mediators. And where this spiritual abomination that maketh desolate is successful in desolating the biblical truth of the heavenly sanctuary ministry of Jesus Christ, recovered by Protestants at the time of the Reformation, it further desolates the Church of God here on earth, which is the one Corinthians 3.16 Temple of God, by putting the Church of Rome, which is the Church of Antichrist, in the place of the Catholic Church, of the Apostles and Nicene creeds, as an evil evident in the Roman Catholics' blasphemous claim to be the, quote, Catholic Church, unquote. And so Meriolatry, in an example of the blasphemy Now here's an example of the blasphemy of Antichrist contrary to the Third Commandment, in this instance elevating purported papal authority over biblical authority with the abomination of alleged papal infallibility. And when we further consider, we find a miniature form of idols of Mary coming to life in the Roman Catholic so-called Weeping with Donors. then I think on the presently available data the most likely possibility for the Popish image of Revelation 13 is this will be a miracle working and speaking image of Mary and so in terms of the Mark of the Beast 666 worldwide Marian worship is coming and with it a worldwide reminiscence inquisition. And so for Donald Trump to be actively promoting mereolatry is doing the devil's work in helping to prepare the way for the future Mark of the Beast era and associated Roman Catholic Inquisition. To the extent that on the presently available evidence, Trump is prepared in a very public court case to set a bad example in terms of lying under oath in a court contrary to the Third and Ninth Commandments. In a relativistic sense, Trump is worse than Kamala Harris. And indeed, when Democratic Party President Bill Clinton lied under oath in the Monica Lewinsky scandal of 1995 to 1997, In the USA Congress, the Republican Party-controlled House of Representatives voted to impeach him, and most, though not all, Republicans voted to impeach him in the Senate, which failed to get the required two-thirds vote for impeachment. With regard to mixed marriages, firstly with reference to religiously mixed marriages, contrary to the first, second and tenth commandments, Kamala Harris is an apostate Protestant Christian in a religiously mixed marriage with a Jew, and the fact that her first name of Kamala is the name of a heathen Hindu goddess and her second name Devi is a heathen Hindu name meaning goddess, in the context of her more general religious ungodliness, keeps alive the fact that her mother was a Hindu idolater and in broad terms this equates the fact that Trump is an apostate Protestant Christian married to a Roman Catholic who continues to show great sympathy towards Romanism and his vice presidential candidate James Vance is a Romanist in a mixed marriage with a heathen Hindu wife. Usha Chilukuri, in which Usha, meaning dawn from Ushas, refers to a heathen Hindu goddess of the dawn, a time of day these heathens used to symbolize reincarnation. And Chilukuri is a heathen Hindu Brahmin name which thus reinforces the heathen Hindu caste system. And so the combination of these two names teaches, with reference to a heathen Hindu goddess, both the false teaching of reincarnation and its connection to people allegedly being reincarnated into the Brahmin caste as the top of the heathen Hindu caste system. And so this means that, broadly speaking, both presidential candidates are as bad as each other on religiously mixed marriages. And in the wider context of the interfaith compromise, both are, to some extent, promoting heathen Hinduism. And secondly, with reference to racially mixed marriages, contrary to the 5th, 7th and 10th commandments, and showing the moral bastardy of God's displeasure found in the 3rd or 4th generation of the 2nd commandment, Kamala Harris bears in her bodily frame the part-breed imperfections of race mixing across Caucasian-Caucasoid, Negro-Negroid and Dravidian-Australoid. And she's married to a Jew of Polish Ashkenazi descent, in which Ashkenazim are about 60% plus or minus 10% Caucasian Caucasoid, and about 40% plus or minus Mediterranean Caucasoid. And Trump's vice president is a Caucasian Caucasoid married to an Asiatic Indian, who, broadly speaking, in the south of India are darker-skinned Dravidian Australoid, and in the north of India are lighter-skinned Dravidian Australoid mixed, in varying degrees, with Caucasian Caucasoids, from Aryan tribes who gave them the Aryan tongue of Sanskrit. And so their three children bear in their bodily frames the part-breed imperfections of race-mixing across Caucasian Caucasoid and Dravidian Australoid. And so broadly, both presidential candidates are as bad as each other on racially mixed marriages. And if Trump wins under the normal course of events, his dirty and filthy vice presidential candidate would run for president in four years time. And so they're both promoting racial union murdering by miscegenationists in the context of mass colored immigration into the USA. To the extent that Kamala Harris is an anti-patriarchal sex-role pervert, contrary to the Tenth Commandment, the image of her as a president would be more hurtful than Trump, who nevertheless also supports anti-patriarchal sex-role perversion, contrary to the Tenth Commandment, with, for example, his vice-presidential candidate's wife, who is a lawyer. and his preparedness to use female lawyers or appoint female judges when there is clearly no necessity to do so. And his image of patriarchy is tarnished by his unrepentant womanizer history. To the extent that Trump is prepared to have USA Supreme Court judges that allow states to have anti-abortion laws if they wish, even though this means he also has USA Supreme Court judges that are prepared to allow states to have late-term abortions. In a relativistic sense, Trump is better than Kamala Harris on abortion murder, contrary to the Sixth Commandment, as she's pushing for abortion at any time during the nine-month pregnancy, as seen by her vice-presidential candidate. To the extent that Trump seeks tolerance for sodomite and sapphist marriage, he is bad. But by degrees, he is not pushing sex changes the way the Democrats are, as the present Biden-Harris administration has a so-called sex change who's actually a man, as one of its ministers of state. In a relativistic sense, Donald Trump is better than Kamala Harris in that he's not as aggressively pushing the sodomite and Saffist agenda, contrary to the 7th and 10th Commandment. And Trump's likewise not pushing as aggressively as the Democrats the nation-murdering agenda of those wanting more coloureds and non-Protestants in USA immigration intakes, though he's certainly not as good as he should be. And likewise, he's better on illegal immigration than Kamala Harris. Thus, in a relativistic sense, Donald Trump is better than Kamala Harris, with less violations of the Fifth and Sixth Commandments against nation murdering. And so, both are certainly immoral presidential candidates promoting decalogue breaking. And in various ways, the devil has his finger in the pie with both of these spiritually and morally compromised USA presidential candidates. And so having considered three specific examples of the need for repentance from sin of specific relevance to this papist conspiracy day to wit, firstly the Romish initiated attack on the second commandment and also the secular state in Australia and The USA putting events around this time that seek to subvert the historic celebration of Protestantism on 5 November, evident in secondly the Melbourne Cup horse race of today, in addition to gambling laws in general not being sufficiently restrictive. And thirdly, the USA presidential election of today, in addition to both major party candidates promoting decalogue breaking, in reference to the words of the living Christ in St Mark 115, repent ye and believe the gospel. On this Papists Conspiracy Day, 5 November 2024, I now rehearse the Biblical and Protestant enumeration of the Ten Commandments in their summary form from Exodus 20, together with parts of the longer form of the second precept. God spake these words and said, I am the Lord thy God. Thou shalt have no other gods but me. Thou shalt not make bow down to nor serve any graven image. For I, the Lord thy God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me, and showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, honour thy father and mother, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not covet. Yet though repentance from sin is important and goes with true faith in Christ, repentance cannot save a man. For this same Christ also saith in Saint John 3.16, For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. And so, by the grace of God, a man must have saving faith in Christ alone as the Son of God, and man's only Saviour from sin, and Lord, who died in our place and for our sins under Pontius Pilate, who in the Middle East was a governor of Judea from 26 to 36 AD, before Jesus Christ rose again from the dead on the third day, and ascended into heaven, where He is seated at God the Father's right hand, from whence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. Let us pray. We thank Thee, O Father, for the amazing messianic prophecies we have considered today, which show Jesus Christ of Nazareth, and none other, is the Christ, and are also a clear evidence of the divine inspiration of Holy Scripture. Grant, we beseech Thee, merciful Lord, to Thy faithful people pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all their sins, and serve Thee with a quiet mind, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
