Genesis 46:28 - 47:27 - Countering the Spirit of the Age

We often hear our current society express (or at the very least imply) that mankind is a blight on creation. But, although mankind is capable of great evil, we are still the pinnacle of God's creation.

The actions of Joseph and of the people of Egypt in this passage demonstrate that it's better for a land to be populated, even with sinful humans, than it is for humanity to be wiped out from a land. We can make similar claims about what we saw during the demonstrably ill-advised CVD lockdowns.

God's people are not called to be guided by the spirit of the Age, but by His Word through His Holy Spirit. And the dominion mandate was never rescinded, but was rather expanded to include the proclamation of the gospel to people of every tribe, tongue, and nation.
