Despising and Judging

The theologically strong believers in Rome despised those who were displaying theological ignorance with respect to certain matters. These theologically weak believers in turn were judging their stronger brethren and thus Paul had to bring counsel to both groups in order to restore proper fellowship and unity in the body. This was a very important topic, evidenced by how much time Paul gave to dealing with it. Much confusion will result if we misunderstand Paul's focus, thus we ought to take great care when seeking to apply these truths to our own circumstances.
