Well, today I wanna have a little short lesson with you. We didn't have church on Sunday, and I've been thinking about some things, and I figured I'd do a little sermonette, so to speak, a little mini teaching, so I thank you for listening today. I wanna call today's, the title of today's lesson is I Could Be Wrong. Now remember that, I could be wrong. If you ever get to the point where you think you can't be wrong, then you're wrong. I've lived it. I know all about it. Years ago, I was in the charismatic side, and I believed in the miracles and healings. God's will was, I believed at that time, God wanted everybody to be healed, and if we weren't, there was something wrong with our faith wasn't what it needed to be, et cetera. But those views changed. I don't know, about six years ago, my eyes were open. That's another long story. that you probably heard if you listened to some of my earlier sermons. My eyes were opened and I thanked God for it. I saw right division. It was amazing. Anyway, before that, I used to make fun of the King James Bible. People in my church, they could probably tell you about it. I would just laugh. Anybody that's used to King James, there's something wrong with them. They didn't understand. They were reading antiquated words. It had much more up-to-date information today in these new Bibles. Well, I've come to the realization I could be wrong, and I was wrong. Gayle Riplinger, she has some tremendous literature and teaching on the King James Bible. And through her and some other resources I did on my own, I have come to the conclusion that there's only one Word of God, and it is the King James Version Bible, in English. Now, I was just thinking about it. I had the New King James, the NAS, the ESV. I had all these different versions of the Bible. And then one day I was looking at them. I used to go through and try to find which one I would use to match up with my sermon. I had to find the one that said it the way I wanted it said. And, you know, there's something wrong about that. And so I finally realized, wait a minute, I've got six different versions of the Bible. They all can't be the Word of God because they're changed stuff. In order to copyright a Bible, which those other versions are all copyrighted, the only one that I'm aware of that's not copyrighted is the King James. Other people own those versions. You got to pay money to print them, you know, that kind of thing. So anyway, I came to the conclusion, I studied, and I reached that conclusion. There's one word of God. If you could just get to the point to where you believed and understood that the King James Version Bible is correct, I think you'd be, I believe you'd be a lot farther along than you would imagine. That may put you 70% in the right direction. I could be wrong. I don't think I am, but I could be wrong. That's what I mean. If when you get to where you don't think you could be wrong, yeah, you're in a dangerous territory. When I was charismatic, I thought I had reached the pinnacle of spirituality. All the stuff I believed and all the stuff that taught, I thought, well, those other poor people, they just don't really know. Bless their heart, you know. They're just going through without victory and just beat down, et cetera. Well, after I got out of that, once I got set free of it, I realized I was the one being beat down because I never thought I was good enough. My faith never was good enough to get me healed, to get me delivered, whatever. So anyway, you couldn't be wrong. Now, some of you have been Christians for 10 years, 20 years, 30, 40, 50, 60, and you may have been a Christian for 70 years, maybe more. Just think back over your life. How much have your views changed in 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years? How much when you first became a Christian, you saw scripture, you were taught a certain way, and then years later you go, wait a minute, that ain't what that scripture says. It says something totally different. In other words, your eyes are open, so you've changed your point of view. All I'm saying is, you're not going to be tossed to or fro in the waves of the wind, but you need to be open to let God's Word change you. You need to modify all of your thoughts about Christianity in your walk. based on what God's Word says, not what you saw on YouTube, not what I'm telling you, not what preacher Billy Bob said. You need to make sure that how you're walking and your beliefs are based on God's written Word, not on some prophecy some guy said on TBN. Don't even go there with me. But anyway, God's Word, that is your authority. It is your final authority. It is the ultimate authority, God's written Word. And so you know, obviously, you've changed your views. All of you have. If you've been a Christian any time at all, as you grow in Christ, you're going to change. Try to make sure you make yourself acceptable to change based on God's Word, not some teaching. Whatever I say, you need to back it up. Whatever so-and-so says, back it up. I got a couple of groups that I study with, and I don't agree with everything they say. Some of the stuff I totally disagree with, but I still learn from them. I'm not opposed to learning. I can listen, and I can pay attention. I got my Bible to back me up. I'm not gonna, I don't, I don't plan on being deceived, but I know it's possible. I definitely know it's possible. You better make sure you realize that as well. Amen. Anyway, so that's where I am. The one thing I want to share with you that unifies all of us. It's simply what Paul said when he talked in 1 Corinthians 2. He says, for I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ and him crucified. Okay, back up. I'm not Apostle Paul, but that's what he wrote, and that's a pretty good place to be. The one thing I know, Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross, he died, was buried, and rose again three days later. By having faith in what Jesus Christ did, that's 1 Corinthians 15, one through four, and having faith in what Jesus Christ did, then God's grace will save me. I have to have faith in what Jesus Christ, not who he is. I mean, that's part of the kingdom gospel for the Israelites. They had to believe that Jesus Christ was a savior, repent to be saved, and baptized to be saved. Ours is simply believe what Jesus Christ did, not who he is or was who he is, but what he did for us. And I believe at that point, you have eternal life, you'll never lose it. You don't have to be, go to church, you don't have to be a church member, you don't have to be water baptized, it's nothing. The Bible plenty talks about in Ephesians six, you're saved by grace through faith, not of yourselves, it's the gift of God, not of works. Don't be bragging about what you did. Glory to God, it's just your faith in what Jesus did in God's grace. Now, if we get to that point, then we're all in the same, we're all brothers and sisters in Christ. You may believe this, I may believe that, and we could disagree on many things, but that's one thing, that that is essential. You gotta have that downright. If you don't have that downright, you get all confused and do all kinds of goofy stuff, thinking you can lose your salvation. Oh my goodness, you know, don't go there. Stay there with what Paul wrote. Remember, Paul was taught for three years in the Arabian Desert by the Resurrected Christ. I mean, that'd be a heck of a teacher, wouldn't it? The Resurrected Jesus Christ spending three years with you, teaching you, and giving you a message which you end up wrote in the Bible. Romans to Philemon, that's his 13 epistles. That was all given to Paul by the revelation through Jesus Christ, the Resurrected Christ. That's a good way to start. Now, I've been teaching on you know, the armor of God and spiritual warfare. And I've been sort of, I've been working on it the last, well, about two or three sermons. And so I'm still working on it. There's a lot to be discussed there. But something I uncovered, which I think is very appropriate, is I want to share this with you. And hopefully it'll get you thinking, you know, I could be wrong. Hopefully it gets you thinking and Give you a better understanding of how it is we conduct spiritual warfare We've been I mean, I've been taught all these goofy things, you know casting out devils and binding Binding the devil and I mean, I've been taught so many things that I got all confused But here it is in Romans and talk about Romans 6 talking about That's wrong with what I'm talking about. Ephesians 6. Ephesians 6, 10 through 18. Ephesians 6. The Bible says, Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Key word, stand, stand. Verse 12, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Stand again. Verse 14, stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having the breastplate of righteousness, and on your feet shod, and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked, and take the helmet of salvation, the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God. I've been taught for years that there's a defensive aspect of this and there's an offensive aspect of this. You know, basically that the sword, the sword, the word of God, is an offensive weapon. Well, I've come to a different conclusion. Now, I could be wrong, I could be wrong, but I've come to a different conclusion. I believe they're all defensive, all of them. I look at the times, it says stand, stand, stand. Stand would not be offensive. Stand would be, to me, defensive. Stand would be a defensive position. Jesus Christ defeated the enemy on the cross. He wasn't standing, but he wasn't offensive. He was on the cross. That's how he defeated the enemy. And I think about it, you know, by the way, When you're reading your King James Bible, you see that the word demon is nowhere in it. It only has devils. And that's because if you look it up in the 1828 Webster's Dictionary, which is your concordance for the King James Bible, demons back then could be good or bad. They're spiritual beings, but they could be good or bad. Therefore, in the Bible, the King James Bible, the word of God, it doesn't use the word demon. It just calls them devils, which we know a devil is bad. Once again, King James proved itself to be most accurate. So my point, I want you to get your mind right on this. When Jesus was battling the devil, He never went looking for him. The devil came to him. When he guarded Gethsemane, after his 40 days in the desert, the devil showed up. He came to him every time. People possessed by the devil showed up. run out to meet him. And so, I want to suggest to you that that's how we should treat our spiritual warfare. See, spiritual warfare, we're not talking about a human, we're talking about spiritual warfare. We use the Word of God in defensive position and we still win. Defense wins, amen? You're watching the playoffs. Defense is how you win. Now, Now you may say, well, wait a minute, the second coming, well, that's, now the second coming, definitely Jesus becomes offensive, but that's him becoming offensive and he destroys the enemy. Ends up binding Satan for a thousand years. He binds Satan up, but that's something, you know, we're unable to do at this point. Anyway. I want you to think about that a little bit. I'll probably expand more in a sermon, but I want to get your mind sort of thinking right. Now, I could be wrong. You may not agree with it, but just study it out. See how Jesus interacted. That'd be a good way for us, a good model for us, I think, how Paul interacted, et cetera. There's, for the most part, when you got spiritual warfare going on, we need, in the armor of God, we need to be looking at it as defensive positioning, defensive warfare, using the word of God. Now, I think you're gonna find out, I think we are, that all these different things teaching about spiritual warfare, I think it's all gonna boil down to one key point, and that is our battle, how we win, is with our faith. Our faith in Jesus Christ, that is our weapon. He is our defense, and that's where we stand in Him. We stand in Christ, and our faith, no matter what we're facing, no matter what kind of attacks that we have, no matter which way the devil comes, it's our faith in Christ is where we're gonna find our victory. The armor is defense. Even the Word of God is defense. We use it against the enemy. That's why you have to know the Word of God. That's why many of us walk around in defeat because we really don't know the Word of God. Anyway, 2 Timothy 2.15, study to show yourself approved. Paul plainly tells us how we have to study to show ourself approved, rightly dividing the Word of God so we won't be ashamed. rightly dividing the word of truth. Study. Anyway, God bless y'all, love y'all, and I'll see you soon. Thank you. Bye-bye.
I Could Be Wrong
There are so many areas of my Christian walk where I was wrong. Some took 20-30 years to see my error. KJV, RIght Division, Spiritual Warfare, Salvation, etc. How are we to address our errors?
