A Sign of Jonah

Have you ever heard someone say, "If only God would show me a miracle or a sign, then I would believe?" It's a relatively common thought expressed by non-believers. I have good news! Jesus uses miracles, signs, or wonders to prosper faith through the gospels, and he has given the world a sign that is greater and more sufficient than any other- a sign that shows how great he is. That sign is the sign of Jonah- his own resurrection. The sad news is that for a great number of people who say, "If only God..." this great sign will only prove them to be lovers of wickedness and idols who refuse to believe. They are people whose bodies are dens for unclean demons and whose "good deeds" in life surmount to room cleaning for those who occupy them. But for those who believe in Jesus and obey his word, he calls family.
