God is Rich in Mercy

Paul opened the chapter with a black backdrop. He provided five ways man is in absolute bondage: death, the world, the spirit of darkness, the flesh, and to God's wrath. This set the stage for the effulgent brightness of what follows: Mercy, Love and Grace. This message dwells upon God's incomparable mercy. Man in his natural state is in poverty. God dwells in the riches of mercy. Paul pointed out that mercy is a sovereign gift (Ro 9:20-23).
