Complete in thee, no work of

O blessed thought, And sanctified salvation wrought, Thy blood

me denied. Since thou my portion, Lord,
wilt be, I ask no more complete in thee. Yea, justify, O blessed
thought, and sanctify salvation wrought. Thy blood hath barred
and bought for me, and glorified I too shall be. Complete indeed! No more shall
sin Thy grace has conquered rain within Thy voice shall bid the
tempter flee And I shall stand complete in thee. Yea, justified, O blessed God,
and sanctified, salvation brought, thy blood hath pardoned God for
me, and glorified I too shall be. Dear Savior, when before thy

and sanctified salvation brought, thy blood hath pardoned blood
for me, and glorified I, too, shall be. Some may walk on mountains and drink that mountain air But
others are not suited to stay for long up there It seems I've
seen more valleys lately in my pilgrim way The sun is often
hiding and the clouds are often grey Oh, I've not seen the sunset
from the mountaintop in years And I've not seen the stars shine
from up where it's bright and clear But I have never lost my
faith in sunshine and in stars I know that mountaintop cannot
be far So keep on climbing pilgrim And
don't give way to fear In the mountain or the valley The Lord
is always near And He knows every step you take You'll never lose
your way The path He puts your feet upon cloudless day. Sometimes we see the journey
and so forget the end. But if we keep on holding to
the hand of God our friend, One day the clouds will break apart
and suddenly we'll see The mountaintop is right beneath our feet Oh,
I've not seen a sunset from the mountaintop in years And I've
not seen a star shine from up where it's bright and clear But
I have never lost my faith in sunshine and in stars I know
that mountaintop cannot be far I know that mountaintop cannot
be far Hello. Good afternoon. All right. I hope you're all
doing well out there. We'll give you some chance to
get on here, everybody, to get moving here and get on. We're gonna look at a few things
here today and have a good understanding of a few things. Hopefully, Lord
willing, anyway, we'll get to that in a second here. I don't
wanna keep it, I don't wanna start quite yet, but I want you
to be thinking about some of the things. Siri just went off
thinking that I was trying to talk to her, which I'm not, that
nosy broad. Always in my business. Always
getting in my business. Anyway, you ought to forgive
my throat here. I might have to have Luke make me some I got
some cinnamon tea black tea there Luke. Can you can you make me
some of that with? with two of those two things
of cinnamon tea and Yeah, that'd be great. It's in that it's inside
the cinnamon teas the cinnamon black tea. It's inside next to
the the box there the other way the offering box there The unmarked
offering box should be inside there in that shelf. You see
that shelf in there? Yep, there you go right there. In the unmarked
offering box that is not a neon, that is not shining, pay here. And no, I don't have little children
walking around passing out offering or walking around with offering
plates, giving that look of innocence at four years old that no one
can say no to when they have to give an offering. Who could
say no to that four year old kid, look at you not moving until
you put something in and then giving you that look like you
stinking cheapskate. Is that all you're going to put
in there? I'm just kidding. I don't know if I have a cold.
I don't know what I have. I got a lot of things. My throat
is kind of, I don't know. It sounds funny. I preached for
four hours yesterday. That might have something to
do with it. I, I, in the morning I preached a message for an hour
and a half. Wasn't it Luke? An hour and a half. Yeah, fill it all the way up
with unleaded. Yep. There you go and and then
after that in the afternoon I started a new series that I have not
Put online as of yet It's based off David clouds book keeping
the kids and We have a lot of children in our church. We have
a lot of young couples that we have young couples in our church
and lots of little children And it deals with parenting children
in this world. And I have not put that on there
yet. I don't know if I will. But anyway. And I have that series. Then I started Another series,
well, I didn't start it. I continued Keech's Catechism
that I do in the afternoon. That's just for the church only.
I don't put that online. That's to teach the church. And
then every other week, I'm going to teach an hour of Baptist history.
Every other Sunday, I'm going to teach at least an hour of
Baptist history. That I will probably put online. So lots of things, lots of fun
things ahead. And we'll probably, I'll probably post the, I think
I will post the keeping the kids. Yeah, I think I will. No, I don't have a cold really,
I don't think. Anyway, I just talked a lot yesterday,
that's what I think. Not to mention pastoring people
and talking to people and then I just went for a two and a half
mile walk or two mile walk outside. So, Oh, here we go. We're going to
get into the weed. We're going to get deep into
the weed. We're going to talk about marijuana. And oh boy, are the potheads
going to come out from everywhere. trying to justify smoking the sticky icky. There's no justification for
it. I know what I got saved from. Thanks, Luke. Appreciate it.
I know what I got saved from. Telling you right now, I know
what the Lord saved me out of. But anyway, we're going to talk
about it. We're going to talk about some
of these things. I've got a bunch of things. Let's see here. Let's get to
some things here. All right. I think we'll start with this one. I think we'll start with this
one. Now, this is government here, or this one's not. This one is an independent study. But we're
going to start with some of this, and then we're going to move
on. And, uh, yeah, I hope everybody
had a good weekend. And, uh... Well, Jeremy, of course you'd
disagree with it. People like to smoke dope and get high. People
like to eat stinkin' Cheetos and licorice mixed with ice cream. Right? People like to eat big
bags of Skittles and be like, yeah, man, let's eat big bags
of Skittles, man, and sit there all day and look like this. It's
for my cataracts, man. Yeah, I'm sure it is. I'm sure it is. Oh, man. I'm telling you, man. Man, you ain't going to fool
somebody that smoked dope. You ain't going to fool me, man. Oh, man. I wouldn't save my whole
life, man. You ain't going to fool me with
this topic, that is. All right. Let's see here. Well, we're going to talk about
some things here, but I want to show you something first here. I want
to direct your attention. Whoops, I got to switch screens.
Not that one. Not that one. OK, Luke, which one is it? Which
one do I switch to here? So I can switch to this one.
Yeah. Oh, there it is. All right. There we go. There
we go. I got a lot of back pain, man,
but I don't smoke no weed for it. Tell you that right now. I'm not going to eat like six
candy bars all that stuff and eat licorice
and ice cream. Here we go. Let's look at this
word, pharmakia. I wonder if they'll say it for
us. I love it when they say it. Let's see. What is that? Sometimes they pronounce it for
you. That'd be awesome. Look what this word means. The use of medicine, drugs, or
spells. Sorceries. Sorceries. All right, now let's look at
that word. Let's go right here. That word is 15 times in some
form in the scriptures. So pharmakia is the same word
as sorcery or sorceries. So what are the end time sins
that the Bible says? Revelation chapter 9, please
Verse number 21 neither repented they of their murders Nor of
their sorceries Nor of their fornication nor
of their thefts Okay, so what do we have here today in our
world today? Well what we have today in our
world is is a drunken, fornicating, thieving
bunch of wicked people. The two sins that they would
not repent of, look at this, another witness, Revelation 28,
but the fearful, and the unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers,
and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars
shall have their part in the lake which burned with fire and
brimstone. which is the second death. What do we have here? Sorceries. Revelation 18, 23. And the light of the candle shall
shine no more at all in them, and the voice of the bridegroom
and the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee. For thy
merchants were the great men of the earth, for by thy sorceries
were all nations deceived. Let me share something with you
there on the path to truth. Let me help you with something.
Taking an Advil or an ibuprofen is not the same thing as getting
stoned, getting high, and now off the new weed that's out there,
practically tripping. Are you serious? How in the world
can you compare an anti-inflammatory to smoking dope or eating brownies
and acting like you're crazy. There's no comparison to the
two, none whatsoever. You have to be an absolute dishonest,
lying, Person to make that comparison and no, I don't believe in vaccinations
and I don't preach for people to get vaccinations So get off
of your goofy arguments because they don't work here It's nonsense Trying to tell me that smoking
dope is the same take it a Tylenol man. You're a druggie There you go, man. Listen, man,
I've taken a lot of ibuprofen in my life, and it never made
me want to eat three bags of Cheetos. Let's be real here. I never ate two bags of licorice
taking an ibuprofen in my life. You know the truth. Come on. All right. The Bible says they wouldn't
repent of that. So what does this matter? Sorceries? Sorceries. Well, Jeffrey Adams, I'll tell
you another thing. I drank a cup of coffee in my
life and I never, and I never gotten high off of it yet. There's a big difference. Big
difference in a cup of coffee. You know it, I know it, and every
pothead, okay, stop smoking pot and drink some coffee then. There
you go. There's your answer. Let's see
if you'll do it. Let's see if you'll start drinking some good
old fashioned Folgers coffee instead of smoking pot. Let's
see if that happens. I bet you won't do it. I'm not advocating for Tylenol.
I'm not a spokesperson for Tylenol. This isn't a paid advertisement
for Advil. Everyone knows with common sense
that there's a difference in a cup of coffee, that there's
a difference in a cup of coffee and smoking weed. If it wasn't,
you'd be drinking coffee instead of smoking weed. It's like that's
the biggest duh factor of all Those arguments are so stupid.
They're so ridiculous So Let's talk about Let's talk about this. What does
the Bible say? It says they wouldn't repent
of it. I really believe that the Bible is showing us that
the two end time sins, the two end time sins are sorcery and fornication. Now, how does that relate in
our world today? Well, what does that word, Kyle, seriously, nobody's saying
that three pots of coffee are good for you and three energy
drinks a day, okay? I get it. How can anybody do
this with this argument? How do you people feel honest
making this argument? How do you feel honest comparing
a cup of coffee to weed? How do you do that when I smoked
pounds of it? You can't do that to me, man.
I smoked pounds of it. You will never be able to convince
me of that ever in your life. You will. And I took all kinds
of drugs and I ate mushrooms and I did it all. So you're not
going to sit here and tell me that you're going to make a comparison
with a cup of coffee and weed. Okay. Quit smoking weed and drink
coffee. It's so dishonest. It's so absolutely dishonest
to try to make that argument. Completely dishonest. I mean,
I don't even know how you do it with a straight face. It's
that ridiculous. It's unbelievable how you can
actually do that. No, what you're trying to do
is justify pot. That's what you're trying to
do. Stop lying. Stop being a pathological, wicked,
devilish liar. Stop it. Because that's what
you're doing. You can try to cover it up all
you want to, but it's plain to see to everybody else that you
are a liar and a dishonest person if you make that argument. And
I won't let you get away with that argument because I was around
it. It's just, you can't, I mean,
you might be able to fool your mother with that argument. You might be able to fool your
mother with that argument, but you won't fool anybody else. Anyway, the Bible talks about
sorcery, it talks about fornication. That word fornication, pornea, which we're really not gonna
get into today that much, maybe, I don't know, we'll see. Here's the Greek word. See this word, pornea, fornication. This word, it's the same word where you
get the word pornography, where we get the word Where we get
the word pornography from, that's the same word. It's the same
word that you get pornography from. That's the same word. So now
are you starting to understand? So what do we have a nation of
today? Doped up fornicators. Doped up fornicators And you know, here's the other
thing I think it's funny that I'm coming
out against this and I have all these people trying to trying
to make like All these other comparisons to other things Why
don't we just deal with pot like we came here to do? How come
we're not how come we're not dealing with pot? How come you
guys got a problem with me dealing with pot here and talking about
that subject? Why does that bother you? Seems like to me that that bothers
you Jeffrey Adams asked the question is listening to rock music the
same as taking drugs Well, Jeffrey, you should go listen to my sermon
called Musical Suicide. The wrong music will kill you.
I cover it there. Thanks for asking though. Go
see it. Because we're not going to have
just an interruption here on this to stop the topic that we're
talking about here. Because people don't want to
hit that little weed button there, man. They don't want to talk
about that dope. A lot of pot smokers, that's why. A lot of
people pretending to be Christians want to sit there and toke on
some smoke there. They want to just get high. That's what it sounds like. CBD oil is not the same as pot. Pot has THC in it that gets you
extremely high. CBD oil does not get you high. There's a difference. It has
no psychoactive compounds in it at all whatsoever. Big difference. So let's talk
about what it does to the mind here. But I want you to make
this connection. I want you to make this connection
here. Think about this. The two end time sins that they
wouldn't repent of were what? Fornication, and sorceries. What are the two end time sins? Pornia, fornication, pornography, and sorcery. Do you see those two things? Those two things right there are the end time sins. Do you
know how many people downloaded the new AI app for pornography? There's a website that Pastor
Hoggard sent and in that website, basically what it says, what
it says is this. It says... You can make somebody... You could fornicate with whoever
you want. You could put anybody's random face there and you can
change the faces of the people and put it there. Now they've
got these AI bots. They've got all these other things
that they're mixing with that now. And what are the two things
that are the end time sins that are there? It's that pornea.
It's that fornication and it's sorcery and people are doped
up today and they're not sober minded and they can't have a
sober conversation, especially when they try to compare a cup
of coffee or a cup of tea to pot. Now, it amazes me that anybody
could actually make that argument, anybody that pretends to be a
Christian anyway. And I said pretend, yes. How
does marijuana, how can it affect the brain function, induce psychotic
behavior? See, there's a difference here. I want to talk to you about
something. There is a difference here in There is a difference here in
the pot that I smoked back in the 90s and the pot that's now.
There's a huge, huge, huge difference. And today, I want to show you this right
here. This is, we talked about this craziness. It's a lot happening
all at once. Illinois shops run out of marijuana
just six days after start of legalization. Tens of thousands
of people lined up outside eight dispensaries in Chicago to buy
recreational marijuana during the first week of sales. But
at the ninth store selling, The newly legal drug, there were
no lines. Instead of forcing people wait in the cold for hours,
Dispensary 33, wow, Dispensary 33, really, asked eager customers
to share a cell phone number like when you go to a crowded
restaurant and when the table is ready, they text you. Brian
Zisis, co-owner of the cannabis shop on Chicago's north side,
told the Washington Post, the dispensary texted dozens of people
each hour on the first day of recreational sales, funneling
them into the store from opening at 9 a.m. to closing at 9 p.m.
But on the fourth day, Zisis was forced to turn away recreational
customers because his supply of cannabis had been depleted
and new shipments had not yet arrived to restock his store
shelves. The same thing is likely to happen again Tuesday. We've
been trying to get a sustainable approach in a very unknown market.
His dispensary stopped selling recreational marijuana on Saturday
and Sunday. Sales resumed Monday morning, but the shop ran out
within three hours. We're still waiting on cultivator
deliveries, but we'll serve as many recreational customers as
we can each day until further notice. Standing in line for
hours in frigid temperatures, tens of thousands have flocked
to the nine dispensaries. 55 dispensaries in the state sold
more than $3 million in THC-imbued products in one day. Illinois' cannabis customers
have brought nearly $11 million worth of recreational marijuana
in the first five days. See that? But the crush of eager buyers
strained the state's marijuana supply. Leading many dispensaries in
Chicago to turn away customers before the first week of sales
have ended. Meanwhile, given the state's restrictive licensing
rules, such large cultivators are now rushing to keep up with
recreational demand in a market previously designed to serve
a much smaller number of medical cannabis patients. So they sold
274,000 different patients. You're talking a multi-billion
dollar business in America now. Suzy Q, I don't remember saying
it was okay to be on pain medication. I don't remember anything in
what I just said for people to take pain medication. I didn't
say that. I just think it's absolutely
amazing that people are having this discussion as if like what
I'm saying is not real. Look, let me say this again.
You're not, I mean, I smoked a ton of pot. I get it. I know
what it does. I, And by the way, there is something
to be said about having medicine administered unto you by somebody
that's not yourself self-medicating with a psychoactive product.
When you are self-medicating with a psychoactive product with
absolutely no with absolutely no one overseeing that, you are
definitely in a place of trouble. In other industries, if a state
produced too much of a commodity, the extra would probably flow
to places facing shortages. Marijuana is still illegal under
federal law, so it can't be sold across state lines. As a result,
states that have too much cannabis, like Oregon, can't sell their
surplus inventory to those like Illinois that have too little.
Oh, don't worry. The federal government will get
a hold of that. They want to make money. Demand from recreational users
often outpaced medical marijuana use by up to 10 times. Well of
course it does! Unlike some of the independent
retailers that have run out of marijuana and have been left
waiting for deliveries from suppliers, some large companies that both
grow and sell marijuana still have product on their shelves.
274,000 people stood in line to get pot
the first three days Okay Now I want to read this to you,
okay, would you please listen to me? Listen closely I'm concerned
for people because I understand what drugs do and I realize there's
a difference between pot and eating mushrooms and hitting
acid and snorting coke. I get it. However, here's the
thing. What's happening today, what's
happening today is that The pot that's being produced today is
probably 10 times stronger than the pot back in the 90s. People are literally tripping
out on this pot now. People are literally tripping
out on this now. But there's an effect on the
brain that nobody wants to talk about. See, there's effect in
the future on this. I'm concerned for a nation of
potheads and the pornification of America. We have a bunch of potheads and a bunch of people that are
addicted to porn. That's right, Andrea, it is way
higher than THC. Way higher. Smoking marijuana is becoming
increasingly legal and mainstream in the United States. More than
33 million adults. Why does that number 33 come
up in everything? It literally comes up in like
everything. It's unbelievable. identifies pot smokers and teenagers
in particular feeling more comfortable with weed thanks to its status
as a safe drug. The cultural shift may need some
rethinking. A new study suggests that there
could be potentially negative long-term effects of heavy marijuana
use, especially if people begin to smoke at a young age. See,
I started smoking when I was 12. About 12. Yeah, I know about crystals on
pot. I know. I get it. Believe me, I know. Especially if people begin smoking
at a young age. Published last November in the Journal of Biological
Psychiatry Cognitive Neuroscience, the findings are part of the
larger effort by a scientist at the National Institute of
Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism to better understand the effects
of chronic smoking. murky issue. According to the
study, heavy marijuana use was linked to changes in parts of
the brain that are involved in the reward processing and habit
formation. I know, Andrea, they're smoking
the oil now. They're just going straight to it. That's right, not as bad as the
stuff now, Andrea, that's right. Okay, look at this. According to the study, heavy
marijuana use was linked to changes in parts of the brain that are
involved in reward processing and habit formation. The editor
of Biological Psychiatry explained in a statement released Monday
that this suggests heavy use of this popular drug may lead
to depression and other even more severe forms of mental illness. Listen. I know after years later I end
up developing anxiety and some depression symptoms. And I know
a lot of people that smoked pot back in the 90s and I know a
lot of those people now suffer from that anxiety and depression
issues. And they did a lot of smoking
dope in the 90s. Scientists analyzed resting brain
data from 441 people between the ages of 22 and 35 already
collected through the Human Connectome Project, a collaboration between
the University of Southern California and Harvard. to map the structural
and functional neural connections of individuals. 30 of these study
participants were already established as meeting the DSM criteria for
marijuana dependence. The research team also assessed
the brain scans of 30 people between the ages who do not smoke
marijuana as a control group. They discovered that the individuals
who had starting using cannabis early in life exhibited the most
significant changes in their brain's subcortical volumes,
as well as changes to the functional connectivity density in the brain's
ventral, stratum, midbrain, brainstem, and lateral thalamus. The scientists
explained that these changes described as hyper-connectivity
end up disturbing resting brain functions associated with habit
formation. Reward processing and the development
of psychosis, defined as when one's emotions and thoughts aren't
in touch with reality. That deals with anxiety, that
deals with depression, that deals with all sorts, schizophrenia,
it deals with all sorts of things. You're literally like pornography
rewiring your brain. Now let's talk about this for
a second. I preached a message a long time ago on pornography
rewiring your brain. It's mind control that literally
rewires the circuitry of your brain. So does this. It messes with the circuitry
of the brain. These individuals also reported
the highest levels of negative emotions. The study's authors
think that that makes sense since the brain's alternations are
often associated with heightened feelings of negativity and alienation,
which they reason is why people who are dependent on marijuana
often report they feel a sense of rejection from others. The study adds to the growing
number of studies that have found heavy smoking can link to psychosis. What is psychosis? Let's look
at that. Science can predict if you will
go crazy when you smoke weed. That word psychosis. A severe mental disorder in which
thoughts and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost
with external reality. A worrisome drop in grades or
job performance. Trouble thinking clearly or concentrating.
Suspiciousness or uneasiness with others. A decline in self-care
or personal hygiene. Spending a lot more time alone
than usual. Strong, inappropriate emotions or having no feelings
at all. That's psychosis. This study adds a growing number
of studies that have been found heavy smoking can be linked to
psychosis, cognitive impairments, and depression, an effect driven
by the low dopamine release seen in the brains of chronic users. Scientists are still learning
why these effects manifested and they suspect THC, the most
famous active chemical compound in cannabis, is to blame. Another
chemical compound in cannabis, CBD, has been found to have the
opposite effect. That's right. Actually, CBD oil
can actually help heal some of those neurotransmitters in your
mind. the firing way your brain fires
and the low dopamine levels and all those other things, CBD,
which is the other side, can actually help to take some of
that away to heal it. Yep. It is clear that these days marijuana
use is not the death knell that health advocates early last century
feared it was. On the other hand, the new studies
like this also emphasize that there will still be a ton we
don't know about. See, I'm not dumb. I know that
stuff will kill you right away. No, I know that. It won't kill
you, but you'll want to be dead. You might want to die. You get
enough psychoactive problems in your mind, you might want
to die. Okay, let's go to another one
here. Long-term effects of marijuana
on the brain. There's a three-part series that
he covered brain mechanism and seven short-term effects, things
like that, but we're gonna get into just this directly and talk
about this. Actually, let me go to, let's
go to this one first. Know the risks of marijuana. Marijuana use comes with real
risks. that can impact a person's health and life. Marijuana is
the most commonly used illegal substance in the US, now it's
changing, and it's growing marijuana use among all adult age groups,
both sexes and pregnant women is going up. At the same time,
the perception of how harmful marijuana can be is declining. People are just thinking, oh,
it's okay. Well, the government legalizes it, it's okay. Well, the government legalizes
abortion, but that's not good. Right? The government legalizes a lot
of things. Liquor, is that good? Just because the government legalizes
something doesn't mean Doesn't mean that it's right
or it's good. CBD is very productive. It's
been found to be extremely productive. And there's no THC in it either.
Anyway. Marijuana is the most commonly
used illegal substance in the U.S., but there are real risks
for people who use marijuana, especially youth and young adults
and women who are pregnant or nursing. Today's marijuana is
stronger than ever before. People can and do become addicted
to marijuana. Approximately 1 in 10 people
who use marijuana will become addicted. When they start before
age 18, the rate of addiction rises to 1 in 6. The Holy Ghost is stronger than
anything on this earth and that's absolutely true, but that doesn't
mean that we don't eat food because the Holy Ghost is stronger. That
doesn't mean that we don't do things that are provided for
us or eat nutritionally because the Holy Ghost is stronger. That's
not a really good concept. It sounds more like a Pentecostal
concept. It's like people say, well, I'm going to pray so my
son doesn't die and they don't take him to the doctor and they
let their kid die because they're going to have faith. Please don't
claim to be a Christian when you do stupid things like that.
Don't tell people that because nobody's going to believe you.
And if they do believe you, you just give everybody else a bad
name anyway. CBD is not a bad thing. It's
actually a very good thing. Okay. Marijuana risks can use
negative and long-term effects. Brain health. Marijuana can cause
permanent IQ losses of as much as eight points when people start
using it at a young age. These IQ points do not come back
even after quitting marijuana. How about this, mental health?
Studies link marijuana use to depression, anxiety, suicide
planning, and psychoactive episodes. It is not known, however, if
marijuana use is the cause of these. No, I think they just
make them worse. It's not the cause of it. The cause is a fallen world.
The cause is a fallen person. That's the difference. Somebody said, wow, see, drinking
coffee makes a person cranky. That's what rel rel said. Well,
if you're cranky, then get over it. You shouldn't be in a bad
mood just because you drink a cup of coffee. What's wrong with you? Shouldn't be in a bad mood like
that. Besides, I'm drinking tea. Athletic performance research
shows that marijuana affects timing, movement, and coordination,
which can harm athletic performance. I'll tell you a story of somebody
one time. My boss, one of my bosses a long time ago, years
ago, he He said a friend of his got pulled
over by the police. And when he was pulled over by
the police, he said, do you know how fast
you were going? And he goes, and it was in a
55 mile an hour zone. And he goes, 60? And the cop
goes, try again. 65? Try again. 70. Try again. 75. You were going 10 miles an hour.
What was wrong with him? He was high. He was so high that
he was driving 10 miles an hour down the road. That's how stoned
he was. Driving, people who drive under
the influence of marijuana can experience dangerous effects.
Slower reaction, lane weaving, decreased coordination, and difficulty
reacting to signals and sounds on the road. Baby's health and development.
Marijuana use during pregnancy may cause fetal growth restriction,
premature birth, stillbirth, and problems with brain development,
resulting in hyperactivity and poor cognitive functions. THC
and other chemicals from marijuana can also be passed from the mother
to her baby through breast milk, further impacting a child's healthy
development. Using marijuana can affect performance
and how well people do in life. Research shows that people who
use marijuana are more likely to have relationship problems,
worse educational outcomes, lower career achievement, and reduced
life satisfaction. Listen, I smoked a lot of weed
and all it did was make me lazy. It didn't make me work harder.
In fact, I went from being a possible division manager of a direct
sales organization Basically quitting my job and becoming
a salesman again and Barely making it and losing everything in my
life Why was that because I didn't
want to do anything All I want to do is sit around and get high
all day All I want to do is smoke weed all day when I was a lost
man. That's all I wanted to do. I So I sat around and just smoked
dope. I got up at six o'clock in the
morning. You know what I do now? Now I get up in the morning and
I read my Bible. That's what I do now. You know
what I did then? It's because pot's like a religion.
When you smoke weed, it's like a church and a religion. Watch
this. Check this out. I'm going to show you something.
Pay attention, kids out there. Let me share something with you.
See, smoking weed is like a religion. It is literally your church.
How do I know that? Okay, well I woke up in the morning
at six o'clock in the morning and I did a wake and bake. And
I got stinking stoned out of my mind at six o'clock in the
morning. Before I went to work, if I showed up at work, I would
do a wake and bake in the morning. And then after that, I would
go to work sometime if I made it to work. And after I got to
work, I didn't really do a whole lot. And in between work, I'd
be smoking pot and everything else. But you know what? Then
I would hang around people, and we would all get into a circle,
and we would fellowship. Well, you say, what would you
fellowship around? We fellowshiped around weed. We all got in a
circle and we all smoked weed. We passed a bong around. We passed
a pot pipe around. We passed a hookah. We smoked a hookah. We smoked
joints. We passed them all around. And
guess what? I didn't hang out with people
that didn't do that. I didn't hang out with people
that didn't smoke pot. I just didn't. I had no use for
them. I remember I was with this girl
and I used to talk to her grandparents all the time. I'd go over to
their house. I'd eat dinner with them. I was a professional businessman
and everything else. After I got done smoking weed,
I stayed in the other room. I stayed away from them. It changed
my mind. I didn't want to be around anybody
anymore that didn't smoke weed at all. I stayed away from all
of them. The only people I hung out with
were people that smoked weed. I did everything. I went and
looked for weed all the time. I went around to try to find
it. That's what I did. I was always looking for a high.
If I was out of weed, if I had no weed, then I was looking for
weed. I couldn't sleep at night if
I didn't have weed. Right, guess what? After I got
saved by the grace of God, after I quit smoking weed, number one,
I did that before I got saved, I got saved in March of 2002,
I quit smoking weed, and I think it was like September of 2001. But you know what? After I was
done, I had family members that said, well, we're not gonna hang
out anymore. Why? Well, you don't smoke weed, so
there's no reason for us to hang out. Well I'm like you were my
family before we smoked weed. But there was nothing for us
to hang out. I mean, there was nothing for us to do. We would
go up in our families, like my mom and dad would be over at
my house, or I'd be over at their house or something, or I'd be
over at my brother's house or some family member's house. I'd
be upstairs in a room smoking weed by myself with other people
that smoked weed. I didn't hang around anybody
else. Driving down the road in a car, I was always looking behind
my shoulder all the time, wondering if the cops were gonna pull me
over. having two pounds of dope in a duffel bag, wondering if I would
have to make a run for it because the cops are right next to me
all the time. I'm telling you, man, you're
not going to kid me. That was my church. That was my God. That was my
drugs. Those were my gods. And I didn't hang around people
that didn't smoke weed. And I didn't want anything with
people that didn't smoke weed. I gave my time, my money, my
sleep, my health, everything to smoking weed. So what was
that? It was my God. And some of you
people that are listening to this right now or that are gonna
listen to it later, you know it's true. It's your idol. And
you allow it to control you and you follow it and it's your God. You think you have it, but it's
got you. If I ran out of weed, I was a
jerk. If I didn't have any weed, I was a jerk to people. I didn't
eat, I wasn't hungry. If I didn't smoke any weed, I
didn't get hungry. I probably missed like two or
three years of my life smoking weed. So, I mean, you might kid your
mother, but you ain't kidding me. Over the past few decades, the
amount of THC in marijuana has steadily climbed. Today's marijuana
has three times the concentration of THC compared to 25 years ago. Three times! And when I smoked Kind Bud back
in the 90s, that stuff would make your eyes cross-eyed. Right? Look at this. The higher the
THC amount, the stronger the effects on the brain, likely
contributing to increased rates of marijuana-related emergency
room visits. While there's no research yet
on how higher potency affects the long-term risks of marijuana
use, more THC is likely to lead to higher rates of dependency
and addiction. Here we go. How about this one
right here? Let's break into this one right
here and look at this. Not that, that's weird, hold
on. Let me mute this till they get
that off there. Hang on a second. I don't know
how to, I can't stop that commercial. So we'll just, you'll just listen
to me talk for a few minutes. But how about this article right
here? We're gonna listen to this. 10 seconds, nine seconds, almost
there. Hang on a second. Now, own the now with Vistaprint. Good evening. Well, within just
hours of the new year, several people showed up to hospitals
around the city of Chicago complaining of cannabis related illnesses.
Doctors tell me even some of those patients had to be sedated.
Recreational marijuana has been legal in the state for less than
two weeks and already a rise in pot related emergency room
visits. Even to the first, we were already
seeing some patients who were perhaps overindulging on cannabis.
In just the past nine days, the University of Illinois at Chicago
Medical Center has treated several patients experiencing cannabis-related
illnesses. I'm seeing cannabis-related illnesses
just about every shift so far. Dr. Javon Thompson, an ER doc
and the toxicology director at UIC, tells me novice users are
coming into the hospital at the highest rates. Folks that maybe
haven't used in a long time or just now deciding they want to
give it a try. See they haven't used it a long time. So they're
used to smoking back in the 90s, right? So then now they're old
now they're older and and now uh, uh, they're they try it again
and they're like, whoa Wait a minute, man. This ain't like what I had
and they're tripping Since it's legal those people
not ready for the look at that I'm telling you that stuff right
there is potency of newer strands of pot. Experts say plants now
have a higher count of THC than years past. A little less could
get you what you may have been looking for then and maybe giving
you some adverse symptoms now. The most common symptoms have
been restlessness, heart palpitations, and anxiety, but some can be
more severe. In some extreme cases, we're
seeing sort of full-on psychosis, hallucinations. Okay, now this
dude ain't got no reason to lie to you. Are you getting me here? This guy ain't got no reason
to lie to you at all. He's not some Baptist preacher.
He's telling you, you know, maybe use a little bit less. I'm telling
you, stay away from it all. It's of the devil. Don't be smoking
weed. Don't be taking weed. agitation, that sort of thing.
Treat. He reminds me of Obama kind. It's weird. It depends
on how much pot people have used. In at least a handful of recent
cases, Dr Thompson says the patients had to be sedated. It is certainly
happening. Um, how bad it will be will be
too. They have to literally sedate
these people. They are sedating them because
they're hallucinating. I told you they're tripping on
it. to be determined. According to multiple studies,
Colorado saw close to a tripling in cannabis related ER visits
after legalization. Doctors say edibles led to that
increase because people pop the candies and the gummies at a
faster rate since it takes longer to feel the high. Oh great, so
then they're just popping these gummies, right? And these gummies
are just loaded and finally it hits him. Finally it hits him. And they're tripping out because
they take too much. Go slow and start low. Now ER
rooms around the city of Chicago tell us they are prepared for
patients who are coming in after using cannabis. Health-related
professionals also telling us tonight they'll have a better
idea of exactly how many people come into the emergency room
with cannabis-related symptoms in the next few months. We'll
figure it out. We'll figure it out how much
we're whacking these people out and tripping them out and giving
them psychosis, right? We'll figure it out. Let's see, where was that? Here
it is. Okay. We'll figure it out how bad we're
tripping them out. By the way, these people are
going to lose their gun rights to a lot of these people. They're
not going to be able to have any guns. That's why they want them all
doped up. That's what they want you on psychotropics for and
mental health drugs. This is why they want you on
those mental health drugs so they can keep you from having
a gun, keep you from protecting yourself. The higher the THC amount, the
stronger the effects on the brain likely contribute to the increased
rate of marijuana-related emergency room visits. While there's no
research yet on how higher potency affects the long-term risk, okay?
Marijuana refers to the dried leaves. Okay, we know that. People
who smoke hand-rolled cigarettes in pipes, water pipes, blunts.
Okay, I don't need to tell you all the ways you can smoke weed
or ingest THC. Peter the first God didn't give
you any herbs so you could trip out on them. No God didn't give you any herb
to trip out on That ain't the herb bearing seed that God gave
you to trip out on Here take this so you could see dragons
in the air take this so you could have psychosis schizophrenia
Take this Today, marijuana use is on the
rise among all adults, age groups, both sexes, pregnant women, people
ages 18 to 25 with the highest rate of use. Marijuana and THC
remain illegal at the federal level, even though many states
have legalized it. All right, there we go. We looked at this
one. This is the long term effects. Here we go. By the way, do you
understand what's happening right now? What the devil is using
this for? So you're not sober. That's what
it's about. Right. These people are primed
for taking the mark of the beast. I'm just telling you they are. They're just primed for it. Why? Because they're going to
get their pornea. They're going to get their fornication.
They're going to get their sorcery. Look, all you have to do to these
people is dope them up and let them fornicate with an Android
or an AI bot. Let them fornicate with whoever
they fantasize with online. Let them do both of those things.
They'll take the mark of the beast and they'll go on with
it. They're not going to be sober
enough in their minds to fight anything. They won't have to. The government
won't have to do anything to them. They just give them weed. and give them fornication. Which by the way, given somebody
an AI bot, because they're going to sell these, what do you call
them? Is it androids? These sex bots. They're going to sell these sex
bots as little children. So if the pedophile wants a little
child, then he can buy a sex bot. which they think will curb
that desire, which it will not, it will only foster it and make
it worse. Because sin does not get better by indulging in it.
Sin must be, you must be delivered from sin. It'll be men, women, children,
whatever. Okay, marijuana's recent legalization
in two U.S. states now means that many people,
not just High Times readers, are thinking about its effects.
Even if you aren't familiar with the brain mechanisms, the short-term
effects were probably familiar to most readers. The short-term effects, okay.
Some long-term effects are carryover short-term effects. Since fat
attracts the THC in cellular walls in your body and are composed
of fat, THC gets sucked up by cells everywhere. THC then gets
released gradually, which is why you can test positive for
marijuana up to a month after you put down your hash pipe.
so many short-term effects like impaired memory and driving might
endure. To test this idea, a recent study compared the short-term
memory and information processing speed of people who use marijuana
in the past four weeks to people who had never used it. The recent
marijuana user remembered less and processed
information more slowly than the people who never smoked,
even though the users didn't smoke that day. Among the marijuana
users, those who used more marijuana in the past 28 days performed
worse than those who used less. The authors concluded cannabis
use is associated with cognitive impairments that persist after
abstinence. As long as THC remains in the body, it stands to reason
marijuana continues to affect the brain. What's less clear
is whether marijuana can actually change the brain. Once the last
traces of THC have been excreted, could brain function remain altered
for months or years after? Few studies have addressed the
question. and lack of clarity proves fodder for debate. To
remove some ambiguity, Nora Volkow, the director of the National
Institute on Drug Abuse, recently wrote a summary in the New England
Journal of Medicine of the scientific findings of the lasting effects
of marijuana use. One, risk of addiction. Smoking
marijuana won't set an irreversible course for addiction, but you
must start using marijuana to become addicted. Almost one in
10 people who use marijuana will eventually become dependent on
it, according to findings from the National Epidemiological
Survey. Half of the people who eventually
met criteria for marijuana dependence did so within four years of their
first use. A little under half of the people
who seek treatment for marijuana dependents experience withdrawal
when they try to quit becoming anxious, irritable, or depressed.
All of that is true. Two, alterations in brain development.
The brain can be molded and developed throughout our lives, but since
it's particularly malleable from the months before birth to our
21st birthday, researchers have wondered whether smoking marijuana
during adolescence could change the brain's development. A team
led by Andrew Zielinski, the University of Melbourne, Australia,
examined this question by performing MRI scans on regular marijuana
users who started smoking in adolescence and a comparison
group who never smoked. They found that the neural connections
between the brain's left and right hemispheres were impaired
in the marijuana users relative to non-users, which could mean
that smokers' brains have poor internal communication. Zaleski's study, like much of
the human work, compared people who already smoked to those who
never smoked. So it doesn't know, it doesn't show that brains changed
after the person started smoking. Smokers brains may have been
different to begin with. The earlier someone started smoking,
however, the more pronounced the impairments were. Suggesting
marijuana may cause changes. Zaleski's study is hardly unassailable
proof, but the suggestion is powerful. The IQ declines. with personality, socioeconomic
status, current drug use, or presence of psychiatric diseases.
When they started smoking, the youngest who smoked most heavily
showed the greatest drop in cognitive performance. The defects extend beyond laboratory
tests. People who live with the study,
participants filled out questionnaires about the memory and smarts of
participants. The participants who started smoking marijuana
as teens had more memory troubles in daily life according to people
who knew them best. Casual studies of change due
to marijuana are, of course, unethical in humans. The evidence
we do have suggests that marijuana probably won't scramble your
brain, but if you start smoking heavily as a teen, it may slow
your brain down. Clearly, we still have much to
learn about the long-term effects of marijuana on the brain. A
few studies available suggest that marijuana may change the
brain function, especially if used when the brain is still
undergoing rapid development. More studies need to confirm
these suggestions and identify more specific alterations." So
those are some of the long-term effects. See, he had... two other parts with this that
he studied. Now, so what you have, we've seen
the risk of marijuana. Wow, so this is an analysis right
here. of the structural change, of
how much it's changed the potency in the last two decades. Wow,
that's incredible. Bad stuff, man, bad stuff. So
what's the Bible say about this? What's God's word say about being
sober? Well, clearly someone who's tripping
out is not sober, right? So let's look at the Bible. Eight times we've talked about
this before. For whether we be beside ourselves
is of God, or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. Therefore,
let us not sleep as do others, but let us watch and be sober. You tell me. Others, it says
here, that for they that sleep, sleep in the night, and they
that be drunken are drunk in the night, but let us who are
of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and
love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. So many people,
they're not sober. They're not sober-minded. The Bible warns the aged men
to be sober, that the aged men may be sober. Be sober, grave,
temperate, sound in faith, in charity and patience. Look what it says here, they
may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands. Do you know what it explains
here, what it means for them to be sober? It means to love their husbands,
to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at
home, good obedient to their own husbands. That the word of
God be not blaspheme. Young men exhort to be sober
minded. You know, Satan's eating up all
these pot smoking people that profess to be saved. And maybe they are some of them
and they're disobedient to God. But you look at what Satan does
here. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter,
1 Peter 1.13, it says, Wherefore,
gird up the loins of your mind. That's your mind right here.
Gird up the loins of your mind. Gird them up and be sober. And
hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you
at the revelation of Jesus Christ. As obedient children, not fashioning
yourselves according to former lusts and your ignorance. But
as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner
of conversation. Look at 1 Peter 5.8. Be sober, be vigilant. The Bible is giving us clear
instructions. Isn't it? Watchful, circumspect, attentive
to discover and avoid danger to provide for safety. Be vigilant,
be sober, be watchful, be circumspect. That's what God is telling us
to be. How do you suppose you could be that and be a pothead? You really think you can be sober
and be a pothead? Be sober, be vigilant because
your adversary Adversary. What is an adversary? It is an
enemy. Your adversary, the devil, as
a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour. How do I resist him? Not by smoking
dope. You're not going to resist Satan
by smoking weed, by eating weed, by making pot brownies. It's not going to work that way. God has given us instructions
for the children of God that they are to be sober minded. And it's unbelievable to me how
somebody could actually try to justify this with the effects
on the mind that it does. Lone wolf, we're not talking
about somebody dying. medicinal marijuana. Nobody is,
nobody is talking about somebody dying. There's a big difference in somebody
dying of stage four cancer. That's in so much pain. They
can't even, they can't even think straight. And you try to ease
some of their pain. There's a big difference in that. Somebody's smoking dope to get
high to feel good There are certain things that
being it can be given to people who are ready to perish The Bible
talks about that and it is scriptural and I can show you that It's
right here in Proverbs 31 God is merciful God is merciful. It says here,
give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish and wine unto
those that be of heavy hearts. What is it dealing with? Somebody
who's dying. I don't have a problem with somebody
taking something to help them with pain, but I don't think
it needs to be smoking weed and tripping out. There are things that can be
given, there are things that can be administered to people
that can help them that are dying. The Bible talks about dealing
with people like that, that are in much pain. giving them pain medications
and things of that nature to help them through that. I don't
think there's a sin in that. But guess what you're not doing?
It's self-medicating yourself and being like, oh, well, I got
some pain, so I need to slam this fifth of Jack Daniels. I got cataracts, so I need to
smoke some weed. There are medicinal purposes
for things, but I don't recommend you, look what it says here.
Look very closely what it says here. Give strong drink unto
him that is ready to perish. Someone else is the administer
of that that is administering it to them and helping them as
they die or as they are in pain or I'll give you another example
that somebody that is an absolute mental shock that there they
just saw somebody murdered in front of them and their mind
is completely gone and Do you understand that? Something
that's wrong with them that their mind is gone. They've just been
in shock or somebody just died in front of them and they sedate
them. It's called sedating them. God
is not cruel. God is not telling us to be cruel
to people. And I think you're right, Brother
Mike. I don't think pot has any, end
time life applications. There are other things that you
can give people, medicinal things to help them. But what I'm saying is there
are things that people were given back then to help ease them as
they were dying a painful death. Say, pastor, give me an example
of something. I'll give you an example of something. Let's say
you're out on a farm somewhere out in the middle of nowhere
and you almost get your arm cut off
and somebody has to sew it or your leg has to get chopped off.
Well of course if you don't have anything to shoot them with to
numb them, of absolute course Of course you would give them,
of course you would give them something. You say, pastor, would
you give them a fifth of jack so they could take it? Yeah,
if I'm gonna saw their arm off, I would. Of course I would, I'm
not cruel. Do we have any brains left to
be able to see the difference in these two? And I'm not being
unkind, I'm simply saying this is common sense. Of course God
doesn't want you to just let, well, saw that guy's arm off
with nothing. Of course not. Of course we wouldn't be cruel
to people. Of course we would do something
for them. Why am I yelling? Because I'm a Baptist preacher
and I'm not a little sissy girl. And I'm not a little sissy britches
guy that sits there and whispers to people. That's why I'm yelling.
It don't matter to me if you shout or pout, I get paid the
same, which is a big old goose egg. Some people don't have nothing
to shout about. I ain't high. I ain't doped up and I ain't
sedated. I got a lot to shout about. Who do you think you're talking to,
Brian Denlinger? Exactly, they gave him morphine,
Cindy. They gave him drugs. They had
to. And I'm not advocating being
unkind to people that are in pain and hurting. Of course not. So what I'm saying is that you're
wise, that there's a reason for some of these things, that God
is not cruel. He's not like, well, no, you
have to die with nothing. You got somebody that's dying
a slow, painful death, of course you're not gonna let them just
sit there in pain. You don't do that. And God doesn't advocate
doing that. This is something totally different. Right. You must be cranky. You're
drinking coffee. I'm not cranky. I'm just passionate. That's all.
There's a difference. That's right. They'd give whiskey
and morphine. They'd give them something. And so, but it was
always administered by somebody else. The guy wasn't sitting
there just drinking a fifth of Jack all day long. Like that
was just regular life. That's not how it works. You
know what I mean? So I understand that God has
reasons for certain things. So we want to try to understand
and be compassionate for those that are in chronic pain all
the time. There's things that you can take. There's things
that they gave people that were in chronic pain. And I don't
believe that's a sin. I believe we can see the, But
it wouldn't be anything to make them an alcoholic and it would
be anything they administer to themselves all the time that
they become highly addicted to. It would have to be something
that would be in a controlled environment. Something that was done in the
proper way. And the Bible tells us about
that and talks about that. It also talks about wanting them
to give their neighbor strong drink. You know? to get them drunk to
see their nakedness. So obviously the purpose is different
here. The purpose is way different
here as far as giving them something to help them. That's a balanced and That's a balanced and scriptural
approach there. But God's Word is telling us to be sober. That Word is 12 times in the
Bible. And if you look at it, it's all
New Testament. Says the bishop then must be
blameless, a husband, one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior,
given to hospitality, apt to teach. He's not given to wine. Remember, he's supposed to be
sober, serious. That word covers more than just
without alcohol. Even so must their wives be grave,
not slanders, sober, faithful in all things. But a lover of
hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate. That the aged men be sober, grave,
temperate, sound in faith and charity and patience. So the
Bible is instructing us over and over again. to sobriety. And there's principles
in the Word of God for people that are struggling or going
through different things. But it's proven also that psychosis... look at the definition of psychosis.
Psychosis in psychotic episodes. It causes you to lose. This is
what marijuana affects. My father was given morphine
until he stopped breathing. Is that kind? Angela, I never
said it was kind. But I also know there's people
that were given drugs that were in intense pain that helped ease
their way out of this life as they were in pain for weeks at
a time. Look at the psychotic disorders
that come with that. Like schizophrenia involves psychosis
that usually affects you for the first time in the late teen
years or early adulthood. Young people are especially likely
to get it, but doctors don't know why. Look at this. Warning
signs before psychosis. Signs of early psychosis. Hear,
see, or taste things others don't. Hang on to unusual beliefs or
thoughts no matter what others say. Pull away from family and
friends. Stop taking care of yourself. Not be able to think
clearly or pay attention. Hallucinations. Hallucinations. Hearing voices when no one is
around. Tactile hallucinations. Strained sensations of feelings
you can't explain. Visual hallucinations, you see
people or things that aren't there. Delusions, beliefs that
aren't in line with your culture and that don't make sense to
others. Outside forces are in control of your feelings and
actions. Small events or comments have huge meaning. You have special
powers or are on a special mission, actually are a god. That's some
weird stuff right there, isn't it? So, a lot of different things
there. Well, I don't agree with drugging
people up to kill them, okay? I don't think anybody could take
anything from the statement that I made. From anything that I said, I
don't think anybody could take that. You know? And I don't think you
should drug people to kill them. We're against ending anybody's
life and killing them. That's why we're Christians. We believe in life. And Joey
Foss has a sermon called Hospice Hell. I've never heard it, but
I heard it was good. So Hospice Hell deals with the
sin of hospice and what they do to people. So I'm not advocating
that or anything like that. I'm just simply saying that's
out there. Anyways, anybody have any questions
here on the side? Any questions at all? Let's see, I'll look at some
comments here. Texas Cindy on there, Carl Winters, The Sullivan
Kid, Authorized Mike, Nehemiah, Cindy Moretti, Nehemiah, let's
see, Carl Winters, Lisa, Janine, Aaron, Susie. Show me the truth, 1611. Ross Duncan, hope you're doing
well. Steven, Carl Winters. I already said his name, humdog1212. Pot is terrible, you're right. Stoners that say weed isn't addictive
are just in denial. That is true, Josh Webb. Phillip Valise. Wow, 10 years. Praise the Lord, God delivered
you from that, Philip. That's a wonderful testimony. Okay. Let's go back, we'll go down.
Man, there's a lot of people on here today, a lot of comments. What is your opinion on mental
health meds? If you're talking about psychotropics,
I believe they're very dangerous. That's what I believe about psychotropics.
I believe they're very dangerous. Let's see. It's been four years since David
Bowie last Wednesday was both Elvis and Bowie's birthday. I
don't know what that means. Weed is a form of sorcery. Yes,
it is. I already talked about that one. I didn't mean euthanasia. I meant hospice gives painkillers
to people who are dying in a lot of pain, like with cancer. What's
your advice to Christian users, Pastor? To repent and turn away
from their sin. Because they are sinning against
God. Yes, drugs can put you in a place
for devils. Absolutely, they can. Are you planning on preaching
at Paisley Park where Prince lived? I mean, I wasn't planning
on it for any reason. Why, is there something going
on there? No one cares about them, I don't
see how that's right. What's going on, Mr. Cooley?
Well, Eli, let's see. I had a good weekend. I was busy
all weekend with lots of stuff to do, and lots more to do here
this week. Pray for my back. It's getting
a little bit better, but boy, it's giving me a fit here yesterday
and today. I went to the Cairo on Friday,
and I may have to go back again. Yeah. Don't take antidepressants. Yeah,
don't take antidepressants. That's absolutely right. Those
are very dangerous to take. I know people, I know people
that have killed themselves on antidepressants. Yeah, a couple people. Absolutely. So yeah, that's real. People do that. That's for sure. Yep, all drugs, all psychoactive
drugs are used in witches ceremonies, in occultists trying to drum
up devils and everything else, that's all pretty common. Not to change the subject, what
do you think about Ray Comfort? Well, I think he had some compromising
issues with with that network, I forgot what
it's called, but I heard he repented of that, but I don't know. TBN,
yeah, he did a show on TBN a while back years ago. I don't know. I think, I'm sure
some people get saved from his ministry, but I don't think he
uses the King James Bible. I think he's probably done a
lot of good with his videos and things like that. But I don't
really support his ministry or anything like that. Do you think
all presidents, including Obama, Trump, etc., are devils, puppets
as well? Yes, I do. I do think that all
presidents have pretty much been puppets for a while. Yeah, so anyway, I don't really... Yeah, I didn't know that. Kirk Cameron, yeah, he runs with
Kirk Cameron, yeah. Yeah, he does. So anyway, yeah, those guys are
ecumenical. They're more ecumenical than
obviously what we would be. We stand opposed to the ecumenical
movement. that merging together with these
others that are out there. The other ministries
like that that are out there. That's one thing that we avoid. Let's see. Yeah. Yep. Those guys are compromised
for sure. They certainly are. All right. Well, if there's nothing
else here, yeah, no flat earthers today. Praise the Lord. I'm glad
they're gone. Anybody else want to say hi real quick? I'll give
you an opportunity to say hi before I get off here. If you
haven't said hi yet today on here to us, or if you've never
let us know you're listening out there, go ahead and pop on
and just say hi. The breathing is a law and the
remedy. Right. Big Will, that's right. He preaches
law to the proud, grace to the humble, which is good. Great
comfort does. That is good. Let's see. Yeah, he's got some good evangelistic
things. Joel Pelton. Howdy, Pastor. Where are you
from, Joel? Do you think Anton LaVey is saved? Anton LaVey? Uh, no. No. My fiance is a psych nurse and
struggles with his line of work. He doesn't like to pass meds
in some cases, doesn't like drugging some people. What do you think
about drugs in mental health facilities? Well, it's kind of
a mess, that's for sure. But it's a mess. I can understand why that would
be uncomfortable, Marissa. I can understand how that would
be. I think, you know, some people
are pretty messed up out there. And when they come into those
psych wards, those psych nurses have to do what they can to keep
those people stabilized. I'm not defending anything, but
I'm just saying they have to do something to calm them down.
So I understand why they do that, you know. Yes, drugs are bad. Kerrville,
Texas. Okay, Joel. Kerrville, Texas. Yeah, it's unfortunate to have
to work in some of these places are rough. I've never heard of
Anton LaVey repenting of anything. To repent on his deathbed, that's
something I've never heard. Yeah, I don't know about that.
I don't know about a life of Satanism, and then all of a sudden, while
you're checking out of the hotel, you just, a quick prayer. Well, that's a loaded question,
Texas, Cindy. So, Pastor Cooley, should I divorce
my husband for doing pot and porn? Well, you can't have pot
and porn around your children, so I suggest the separation from
him and the other drugs that he's doing is the safest thing
that you can do, waiting for him to repent. You know, I don't
know your situation, Texas Cindy, that well. I think it'd be better
if you emailed me at PastorCooley at iCloud.com and asked me some
of those questions. I couldn't really answer that
question, you know, on a thread like this, you know what I mean?
That's something that's, it's a little bit more in depth of
a question, and I wouldn't be so careless as to, you know,
kind of answer, give you a, a general answer to a deep question that
affects your life and the life of others. You know what I mean?
So you are definitely free to ask me that question if you'd
ask me in private and I could talk to you about that a little
bit better. You know what I mean? It's just a little more... It's
a little more difficult question to answer like that. God hates
divorce, absolutely, and we should too. There's just a lot that goes
into that. That's not something that you can really be flipping
about. It's a very serious matter in
the eyes of God. But I would try to help you through
some of that if you contact me. Yep, that's it. Let's see. Yeah, I don't believe in too
many of those deathbed confessions, because deathbed confessions
are supposed to bring glory to God, not just... I mean, the thief on the cross
brought glory to God. Angela, you're right, porn is
devastating. It's absolutely devastating.
And I wouldn't want a porn addict around my children. Absolutely. But... Philippines. Pray for the Philippines. Let's see. All right. Well, we
will. I heard Darwin did, though he's
not a Satanist. But, well, I think Darwin's pretty
close to a Satanist. I don't know. I don't think there's
much difference in Darwin and a Satanist. So from that standpoint, Anyway, all right. Well, I think
I'll get out of here while the getting's good. That's what I
think. I've made enough people mad today,
probably half the devils in Minnesota and all that, but we thank the
Lord for his protection and guidance and direction. The answer to
all of it though is to be born again if you are stuck in marijuana
use and you're a pothead or you're any kind of drug addict or alcoholic
or anything else. The answer is the gospel of Jesus
Christ, for the Lord is able to deliver you. That word salvation
is the same word as deliverance. And salvation delivers us from
sin and wickedness, from sin's control. So whether it's pornography,
whatever it is, whether it's marijuana use, whatever it is,
whether it's any kind of drugs, pharmaceutical drugs, whatever
it is, the Lord has the power to deliver you. The Bible says
that Jesus Christ is able to make thee whole. Jesus Christ
can forgive your sins and cleanse you of your unrighteousness.
Jesus Christ can change you and make you a new creature. The
Lord is able to do that. I suggest you go listen to the
sermon, the gospel, which is able to save your soul. The Bible
says, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things
are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. If you're
taken by drugs, the Lord can deliver you from drugs by the
blood of Jesus Christ. See, Jesus died on the cross
for your sins. He was buried and he rose again from the dead.
And he is the power. to forgive your sins. He has
the power to deliver you from the wrath to come. And you deserve
hell. You deserve to die and go to
a devil's hell. But Jesus died on the cross for your sins. And
he was buried, and he rose again the third day. that in him you
might have life, and that you might have it more abundantly.
The Bible says he came unto his own, but his own received him
not. But to as many as received him, to them gave he power to
become the sons of God, even them that believe on his name.
You can be forgiven. The Lord can take away your sins. The Bible says for all have sinned
and come short of the glory of God, and for the wages of sin
is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus
Christ our Lord. that if thou shalt confess with
thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart
that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth under righteousness, and with
the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Believe on the
Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. God bless you, have
a good night.
