Matthew chapter number 5, Jesus
is preaching and my thought is the blessings of living for God. God knows what's going to happen
this morning. The blessings of living for God. The blessings of living for God.
Yes, sir. Amen. Jesus is preaching. Amen. Amen. And, of course, he went
up onto the mountain and when he was set, his disciples came
unto And he opened his mouth and began to teach them the blessings
of living for God. This world claim like they got
so many blessings, they don't have nothing. Amen. They don't have anything. But
the blessings Jesus is preaching on the blessings, he's teaching
his disciples on the blessings of living for God. Amen. And so he opened his mouth. in
verse number two, and he taught them, saying, Blessed are the
poor in spirit, for thine is the kingdom of heaven. Being
poor in spirit here means that they are in the spirit of themselves. Blessed are those that are poor
in the spirit of themselves. We're nothing, hallelujah, without
God helpin' us and God bein' with us. And of course, I get
into that spirit part of it here in a little while. Amen, but
blessings are the poor in spirit. And some people walk around like
they're a peacock, you know. It's somethin', amen, everybody
else is nothin'. We're nothin', hallelujah. I
mean, where we are, we're a big zero with the hub kicked off. Hallelujah. I'll tell you just
how important you are. I'll tell you just how important
I am. I'll tell you just how important
you are. Amen. We'll get a bucket of water,
set it up here on this table. Amen. We'll fill it up to the
brim, and you stick your hand down in that bucket of water
and jerk your hand out real quick, and the hole you leave, that's
how important you are. Amen. Amen. The hole you leave
is how important you are. Say amen. Amen. We're nothing. Amen. Amen. The worldly women,
they like to walk around all primped up with everything there
is, and the beauty part of the God that's made them is covered
up. Amen, amen, amen. God, holiness is beauty. And
we worship God in the beauty of holiness. Amen, amen unto
the Lord. So that spirit, having the right
kind of spirit. And number two, amen. Blessed
are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Amen. Blessed are they that mourn about
our problems, our troubles, bringing them to the Lord and leave it
with Him. He said, Lord, work this out
for me. I'm going to be faithful. I'm
going to be true to you. Amen. Amen. And so that's what
God said. They will be comforted. Hallelujah. In one day. Number three says,
blessed are the meek, for thou shalt be heard the earth. Don't you worry about thank God
the earth. Hey, God's gonna let us rule the world one day, the
new heaven and new earth. And so don't worry about what
you got here. Amen, just serve God with what you got. Amen,
amen, amen. If you've got a dollar and you
give it to God, amen, it's as much as important as if somebody
walked up there with a hundred dollar bill and give it, amen.
I'm telling you, matter of fact, you're getting more recognized
with God for giving that that you don't have really to give,
giving to God. If you wanna see your finances
multiply, Honor God! Amen. You'll see your finances
muckle fly, it sure will. Amen. So blessed are the meek.
They shall inherit the earth. The meek, that is, we don't boast
around of what we are. We brag on Jesus. We don't brag
on us, hallelujah. Some of these Southern Baptists,
amen, amen, they got all these pens they get, amen, for being
in Sunday school, being in church, being in all this, they give
them pens, pens, pens, and pines and all, hey, that don't mean
nothing, hallelujah. Amen, them pens don't mean a
thing, but they think, oh, I can look at how many pens I got,
no. They brag about that. Well, we be faithful. We don't
do no bragging. We just be faithful about it.
Amen. And be true about it. Yes, sir.
The meeting. Next, it says, blessed are they
which do hunger and thirst after righteousness. Amen. Kyle and
Josh and y'all's wives, y'all ought to be hungry right now.
Not for food, not amen, but for righteousness. Amen. Blessed, God said, blessed are
you if you hunger and thirst after righteousness. Amen. You know how much time you put
in, amen, for working and all that stuff? Well, you can be
thirsting and hungering for righteousness while you're out there working.
Hey, ladies, are you at the house? Amen, amen, taking care of children,
amen, which is God's rule, amen, God's way for a woman, my little
friend, and she used to make babies and biscuits, hallelujah,
amen, amen, yes, sir, amen, she'd make gravies and biscuits, that's
what God called her to do, amen, honorable, marriage biscuits,
hallelujah, amen, amen, God bless that, amen, marriage biscuits,
amen, say amen right now. Hallelujah, before I get on to
that. Amen. Yes, sir. I had babies. I married
some babies. Amen. Yes, sir. Well, blessed
are they that are hungry and thirst after righteousness, they
shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for
they shall attain mercy. You show mercy to other people,
God will show mercy to you. And God will be merciful unto
you, He sure will. Amen. And blessed are the pure
in heart, for they shall see God. Pure in heart. Salvation
in the heart. That's where salvation is at,
in the heart, thank God. And you're pure in your heart
toward God. Amen. Yes, sir. And you'll see
God. Amen. Hallelujah. We're gonna
see Him one day. We feel the presence of the Holy
Ghost down here. And that Holy Ghost is from my
Heavenly Father and your Heavenly Father. But one of these days,
all of this feelings, all of this good times gonna turn into
sight. Amen. Thank God. Yes, sir. And we're
gonna see Him one day. Amen. We'll see Him. Moses desired
to see God. Said, let me see you, Lord. I'd
like to see you. Amen. And the Lord said, okay. Amen. Get in the cave and say,
you can't see me face to face, but I'll let you see my hind
parts. Oh, thank God. Oh, Moses had us fit up there.
Just as sure as you're standing in that seat, Moses had us fit
up on top of that hill, on top of that mountain that day, had
a great time with the Lord. Matter of fact, when he come
down off of that, having a good time with God, his countenance
so changed, they had to put a cover over his face, because the children
of Israel couldn't stand to look at him. Oh, thank God! I don't know if mine changed
any this morning or not, but I sure am having a good time.
Amen. Yes, sir. Oh, yes, sir. Well, amen. So, where am I at? Amen. Blessed are they that,
blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed
are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children
of God. Peace among one another, peace
with one another, amen. God honors that, hallelujah. And brother Finley having peace,
amen. God honors peace. Now there's
no peace in this world. They're trying to break about
it. We're gonna have peace. We change this, we have peace.
We change that, we have peace. We draw up agreements, we'll
have peace now. It ain't no peace in this world
because of the greed of man. Amen. And even in our own land,
those in Washington got greed in their heart, even greed in
their minds. Even these politicians trying
to get elected for election. And most of them was crying,
it's not in the heart, I'll holler here of a statesman today. Amen, of a statesman. Amen. We got some good men, I believe,
in leadership of our country right now. Amen. They'll recognize God, and that's
good. Amen. But you've got those who
are sitting there, even among themselves, among them, grieving
in their heart of the honor they give God, grieving in their heart
the honor they give to prayer. And they call themselves Republicans
or conservatives. And all the time, they'd rather
be with the Democrats or the Democrats, as far as I'm concerned. Yes, sir. And that's who they
talk about. Yes, sir. They want to be like
them. Let me get off of that. Hallelujah. Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called the children of God. Yes, sir. And I want to say this while
I'm right here. Our president is doing right about that border
down yonder. Amen. There's people coming through
that want to come through that border, get in this country to
help destroy it. Amen. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. And he's, I'm for him. I'm for him. Oh, boy. Then verse
number 10, Amen. Blessed are they which are persecuted
for righteousness sake, and theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Brother,
y'all remember me, y'all better agree. Y'all walk out, start
walking with God, your family start going with God. Some of
your family ain't gonna like it. they're going to be persecuting
you for it. But the Bible says rejoice if
they persecute you for righteousness sake, for great is your reward
in heaven. I've been persecuted, amen, all
these years. Those who persecuted me, my family
persecuting, Bloodkin persecuting me. It makes no difference. They said I'd gone crazy when
I left my job going out to preach. They said, you're crazy, man.
You're going to starve to death. Well, you can look at me and
tell me I still got a lot of stuff on my ribs. I got enough
on my ribs to last for a while. Thank God. Now, everybody next
to Tim, I go where I need his food. Hallelujah. Amen. Yes, sir. Amen. Yes, sir. Amen. And if he gets upset about
it, Tina won't. Hallelujah. She'll say, come
on, old preacher. You didn't laugh about that. Number 11, blessed are ye when
men shall revile you. It's going to come. Kyle, it's
going to come. You live for God, it's going
to come. Amen. Josh, if you really get dedicated
to God and dedicated to the things of God, it's going to come. They'll
revive you. They'll persecute you. They'll
say, you got a crazy preacher down there. They'll say all kind
of things. I don't think, I can't understand somebody calling me
crazy. Hallelujah. I think I got a good
sound mind. Amen, amen, amen, amen. Blessed are ye when they shall
revile you and persecute you and shall sell all manner of
evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly
glad for great is your reward in heaven. For so persecuted
they the prophets and they before you. Amen, amen, amen. Now, these nine blessings that
God gives here lines up in Galatians chapter number 5 and verse number
22 with the fruits of the Spirit. Fruits of the Spirit that go
to Galatians in chapter number five and verses number 22. Galatians chapter number five
and verses number 22. Galatians 5, 22. Amen, amen,
amen. The fruit of the Spirit. Now
if you look up there at verse number 19 down there, that's
the pleasure of this world and those that are living in this
world. Lasciviousness is no strength to get victory in your life. That's what lasciviousness is. 99.9% of the religion today is
in lasciviousness. They don't have no real victory
in their lives. All they got is religion. Amen. No real victory. Adultery, amen,
witchcraft, I'm doing verse 20. Adultery, witchcraft, and hatred,
and violence, immolation, wrath, strife, sedition, heresy, envy,
murder, drunkenness, revival, and such like, of which I tell
you before, as I have told you in time past, that they which
do such things, and hurt the kingdom of God. Amen. These beer drinkers, It's sad,
how sad, but they think it's so wonderful they need to take
it to the college and give it to our young people. How crazy
that is. You won't find one place where
a cigarette kills somebody in a car wreck. And yet they still,
still, they don't put taxes on it, and they still are trying
to break away to get all tobacco away from them. Well, thank God,
it ain't tobacco that's the problem in this country. It's adultery
and fornication and liquor and beer and wine. That's the real
problems in this country. Amen. Yes, sir. And then hatred
of God. On top of that, hatred of God. Well, look at me. He says, I
envy witchcraft, hatred, seduction, envious murders, drunkenness,
reliance, and such like of which I tell you before as I also told
you in a time past. They which do such things shall
not inherit the kingdom of God. That's several places that God
tells about some folks ain't going to inherit God. If you
had been involved in any of that and God didn't want to take it
away from you, you didn't get saved. Say amen right there.
Amen. I'll tell you what he'll do.
If you got God, you got saved this morning. And every time
you do something against the scripture, you're going to feel
a different kind of thing in your heart. And conviction, that's
conviction. Amen. And I'm trying to tell
you to do right. Amen. Brother Josh, that's conviction.
You know, you're old enough in it to know. Amen. There it is. That's right. All right. But
look at the fruits of the Spirit now in verse number 22. These
is the fruits of those nine blessings in chapter number five that Jesus
of Matthew and Jesus talked about. Here they are. Here's those nine
fruits that lines up with those nine blessings. The fruit of
the Spirit is love. Amen. We come to love one another. You know it's strange how, amen,
we get saved and it looks like we've been loving one another
all along. Amen. All in love. Amen. Yes, sir.
We love one another. Amen. Thank God. Amen. And thank
God for the goodness of God. Amen. Yes, sir. Love us. Amen. Then there's joy. There's gonna
be joy in your life. Real joy. Not just cause you...
I ain't talking about joy that your favorite football team won.
That ain't joy. Hey, that's glad to see them
win. I ain't talking about joy you
caught a good fish. Amen, amen. One fellow in this church he
brags about having a bigger fish he draw. I'll catch him, but
I won't outdo him one of these days. Amen, amen. Hallelujah. Well, it's been real joyous from
here. Real joys down here when I ain't
got no money, I got joy. Thank God, I don't feel like
I got no friends, I got joy. Hallelujah. When I don't feel
like I got food, I got joy. Thank God, I got joy. It's not
things. And thanks to it, and that joy,
thank God, is of the Holy Ghost, and you were sealed by Him. The day you got saved by His
power, you were sealed, and healed to be there. And He sprung up
this morning, oh well, hallelujah, He sprung up, thank God, in my
soul, in my soul this morning. Yes, sir. Amen. Sometimes he's
a little bit dominant, but he's there. But all of a sudden, boy,
you realize it's good. You'll be humming a song, singing
a song, and that's it. It'll spring up. It'll spring
up. You begin to feel that joy then
in your heart. Well, amen. Here's the next one. Peace. Peace. The third one is
peace. Peace is unknown to this world,
but we have peace that come with me and make no difference. We
got peace. Long-suffering, hallelujah. We become long-suffering, even
for our wives. Amen, right there. Amen, amen.
Amen, man, say amen right there. Hallelujah. Amen. Oh, yes, you will. You'll be
long-suffering. Amen. That's right, you'll come
long-suffering. Your gentleness, you'll start
being gentle. Amen. And gentleness, amen. Goodness, you'll be doing good
things, being good to your family, being good to one another. Amen. Faith, you begin to get some
faith. You live by sight so long you
think you got to work it out and all. We live it by faith.
Amen. God take care of my bills. Amen. You'll take care of them, Lord.
I'm your child. Now, here's what I've accused
the Lord of and told the Lord several times since I've been
saved. I said, Lord, I'm your child. And you're my heavenly
father. And the Bible teaches me, amen,
that you promised me you'd take care of me. Now, Lord, you know
what I need. Amen. Now, the Bible said a man
who won't take care of his family is worse than an infidel. I said,
Lord, now, amen, my children may need something. You're my
father now. Amen. Now, you don't want me
to act like I'm an infidel, do you? Amen. I'm your son, hallelujah,
I belong to you. I'm your child, thank God, and
it's up to you to take care of me. Man, that don't mean I just
sit at home and get in a recliner and say, okay, take care of me,
Lord, I ain't doing nothing. That don't mean that. You got
to put some effort on your part, hallelujah. You put your best
effort on the best part, then God'll do the rest. God'll do
the rest. What you can't do, God'll do
it. Amen. Yes, sir. But if you go home
and sit down and say, well, I ain't going to do nothing. God's got
to feed me. You're going to get hungry. I tell you that right
now. Amen. You're going to get hungry. Amen. The threads on
your children will get threads. Amen. They'll get slick and worn. Amen. You sit down. But as long
as you're trying, Long as you're trying, God will see to it that
he'll take care of you. He sure will. Amen. Peace. He gives peace, he says. Amen. Neatness, temperance. Temperance
is getting victory over things in your life that wants you to
have no victory. Neatness, that's what the Holy Ghost gives you.
Temperance, and against such there is no law. And they that
are Christ have crucified the flesh. with the affections of
the lost, for we live in the Spirit. Let us walk in the Spirit. and let us not be desires of
vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another, amen. So
here, those nine spirits has the nine blessings on it, amen,
that's your blessings for your life, amen, and if you live those
and put those to practice in your life, you'll find blessings
that you never received in the world. Yes sir, you'll find blessings
that you never received. in the world. Amen. Amen. Amen. Well, amen. Who's your owner? I got an old
down line here. I was gonna preach this morning.
I won't preach it. I just, but it talked about in
those scriptures. Go back to Matthew, uh, Matthew
chapter five. Matthew chapter 5 and verse number
33, Matthew 5, 33. Amen. The Bible says in verse
33 in Matthew 5, again I have heard, you have heard that it
had been said by them of old time, thou shalt not forswear. Thyself but shall perform unto
the Lord thine oaths. Amen. The Lord's willing to help
me. I'll perform my oath to him. I made a vow to him. I asked
him to save me. He come into my heart and through
Jesus Christ, the Holy Ghost and Satan, now your vow is unto
God. your vows unto Him, amen, and
that's who you'd make your oaths to, amen, your vows unto Him,
amen. And always remember this, when
you say you're gonna do something, always remember this, the Lord
willing, to be the Lord's pleasing at this time. Might be God's
pleasing to do something great for you down the road. Now, I've
been here a year this month, or eighth, I believe it was you
said, I took, The 12th of November, I took over as interim pastor. Amen. And amen. God has helped us this year and
been a blessing to us. Amen. I thank God for it. Amen. But I said, the Lord willing,
I go there and be your will, God. I'll preach the Word of
God. And you honor your word in those that need help in their
lives. You honor your word and God has
done it. Amen. God has honored this church.
Amen to the Lord. I ask the Lord willing to help
me. And I ask the Lord willing to add to the church as he sees
fit. Amen to do it. Amen. So you need
to learn to say, well, I'm going to do so and thus and so today.
You don't know if you are or not, but you ought to say, Lord
willing, I'll do something thus and thus today. Amen. Yes, sir. Amen. Well, I'll show you why
here in just a minute. By the earth. for it is his footstool. Amen. Neither by Jerusalem, for
it is the city of the great king, talking about God, Jerusalem.
Amen. My pastor, he's been over there
last week. Amen. Somebody told me, I want
to go and get baptized in Jordan. Oh, amen. I get baptized in a
good, clean place. I'm satisfied. Amen. Amen. I'm not interested in getting
baptized in Jordan. It wouldn't be the thing. Amen.
Even if I got saved over there. and needed to get baptized while
I was there. Yeah, I'd go on down there and get baptized,
but I ain't gonna give them $20 to baptize me and Jordan, hallelujah. Amen, I'd come back to my church.
Amen, amen, get baptized, right. Amen, baptize, that's right.
Amen, church supposed to minister that. Watch what he says, now
my thought, who is the owner? That's my thought for these right
here. Need a shield that's square by
thy head. because thy candidates not make
one hair white or black. Some of y'all wish you could
make them black or white or whatever, make no difference. Amen. We're
living in a generation today that don't like being what God
made them. Amen. And people will do anything
they did to change it. Hallelujah. Yeah, God made you
what you are and be what you are. Hallelujah. Amen. Amen. Be happy about it. Amen. Praise God about it. Yes, sir,
we will. Amen. Black hair, hair, white
hair. And some of these folks going
so crazy, they don't know what color they want. They put all
kinds of colors up there. Amen. They mix it all up. Yes, sir. Let your communication
be yay-yay and nay-nay. For whosoever is more than these
cometh evil. Evil cometh more than these,
cometh evil. God calls it evil. You have heard
that it has been said, an eye for an eye and a tooth for a
tooth. But I say unto you that you resist
not evil, but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek,
turn to him that other cheek. Amen. And I always add to that,
he didn't say what to do with it if he'd hit you twice. And if any man will sue thee
at the law and take away thy coat, let him have thy clothes
also. For whosoever is compelled of
thee to go one mile, go with him twain." Now, the Jews under
the Roman If a Roman saw a Jew coming along
and he had a pack or the Roman had a pack or had something to
be bored, he had the right to tell, to put that, say, I'm going
to put that on that Jew. And he can put that Jew, and
the Jew had to go, at least their law was to go one mile and carry
that load he had. Amen. But the Bible said, Jesus
said, if he compels you to go one mile, go with him 20. Amen. That's how kind of giving heart
we all have for God. We walk in the spirit. We'll
do more. Somebody asked us to do something,
we'll do more. Have the spirit doing more than
he asked us to do. Yes, sir. Amen. Yes, sir. And so, amen. So, there's the
fruit. I'm not going to preach this.
Amen. Amen. Thanking the Lord. Amen. Taking the oath from his
calling. Yes, sir. And as witnesses. God wants us to be witnesses.
Amen. I got a bunch of scriptures and
I'm not going to deal with that. Number two. Amen. Heaven is God's
throne. Amen. Heaven is God's throne
in 34. Verse 34. He's king over man. Man is trying to say he's the
throne. I'm going to do what I want to
do. I'm going to do this, and I'm going to do that. Amen. That
ain't right. Amen. Verse 35 says, man, I says,
amen, I'm on the earth. But God said, this earth is my
footstool. Hey, but it's his footstool.
Amen. He said, amen. He do what he
please. Hallelujah. And he does. I don't
like a lot of things. That goes on in the earth today. But nevertheless, I know it belongs
to God, so I don't worry about it. Hallelujah. Yes, sir. A man
is aiming and trying to control religion! Jerusalem is a place
of religion. Amen. So don't swear by Jerusalem. Amen. But man is trying to control
it. And amen, 99% of preaching that's
done today is those trying to control this world and control
things. Yes, sirree. Yes, sirree. Yes,
sirree. It's the city of the great king,
Jerusalem. You know, that's where Jesus
gonna rule and reign from. He's going to rule the arena. Amen. He's the great king. He's
the ruler. Amen. Our man is trying his best. Amen. The head. Amen. He's got enough education.
He's going drunk on his education. Man in these days is drunken
on their indication and their intellect. And boy, they ain't
nothing like me. Ain't nobody can think like me.
Ain't nobody can do like me. And they're not humble or what
God lets them do. Amen. Amen. You see that? Amen. Amen. You can't make one house white
or black. Amen. You can't. You don't really
know how many you got on your head, but God knows every one
of them. Amen. Sometimes I have to call
my house and I put a look at my phone and say, hallelujah,
Lord. One more, you know one more is
gone. Oh, thank God. Hey, throw it in the trash can.
Hallelujah. He knows it's there. He knows
it's gone. Amen. Yes, sirree. Amen. Well, I often wonder what
God done with these old folks. Get those hair implants and all
of that. It ain't really, I wonder what God do with them. Yes, sirree. Now, verse 37 says, A man is,
a man is himself, his own word, it coming from evil. It coming from evil, God says,
yes, sir. And God says, well, amen, amen. I'm going to leave. You got to
just admit God done more preaching this morning than I have. I'm
not close anyhow. Amen, amen. He do more preaching
this morning than I have. and I praise Him, I adore Him,
I honor Him. Amen, amen. Well, what do we
do? What do we do? We had such a
wonderful time today. Hearing ice outside and joy inside. Amen. Happiness,
Blessings of living for God
