Exposing Darkness

Jesus Christ has called us to be 'light' in this world. To be effective, we must be distinct from the world surrounding us, develop light-like character qualities, and must expose sin for what it is. But to expose darkness in this world, we must have a moral platform from which to speak. It is not enough to say, 'Do as I say', but rather 'do as I do'. We need to first of all deal with sin in our own lives so that we can speak with authority. Secondly we need to manifest a life of moral, spiritual, and personal excellence, being a positive role model. And then when God grants us an opportunity, we need to carefully speak the truth. We must be ready to give an answer for the reason of the hope we have in Christ.
