Life to the World

Happy Thanksgiving! This time of year is a special time of remembering the blessings each of us has received from our great God. In fact, God has demonstrated from His word that giving of thanks is a healthy necessity in the lives of His people. The Psalmist, in Psalm 78 remembers that …
"He rained down manna upon them to eat and gave them food from heaven" (Psalm 78:24 NASB)
God's faithfulness to unfaithful Israel, by feeding them every single morning in the wilderness for 40 years, was only a dim picture of the life giving, daily substance you and I receive from the Bread of Life Himself – the Son of God, Jesus Christ.
"For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world." (John 6:33 NASB)
Jesus Christ calls Himself the "true bread out of heaven". He makes bold statements about himself that each of us must consider as we search out meaning, purpose, security and contentment in this short life. I hope you'll join us this Sunday as we turn to John 6 and behold this true bread … the living bread which comes down out of heaven and gives life to the world. See you here!
