Punishment and Hope

A look at the last years of Judah between the second and final sieges of the Babylonians during the reign of Zedekiah while the prophet Jeremiah had been imprisoned, placed in a muddy cistern and told by God to buy a field in the territory of Benjamin because God was going to bring His people back to the promised land. The weakness of the king is contrasted with the strength of the prophet.
