And we will be turning to two
different places in the scriptures today. We're going to be going
to Jude and just reading Jude, the third verse. And then we're
going to go over to the book of Hebrews, Hebrews chapter 10. And we'll read verses 1 through
18 in Hebrews chapter 10. So Jude 3. says this, we know
it, we went through this last week. It says, beloved, when
I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation,
it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that
you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once
delivered unto the saints. Now go back to a few pages to
the book of Hebrews. Verses 1-18 say this, For the
law, having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very
image of the things, can never, with those sacrifices which they
offered year by year continually, make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would there not have
ceased to be offered because that the worshipers once purged
should have no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices
there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For
it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should
take away sins. Wherefore, when he cometh into
the world, he saith, sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not,
but a body hast thou prepared me. In burnt offerings and sacrifice
for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, lo, I come in the
volume of the book it is written of me to do thy will, O God. Above, when he said, Sacrifice,
and offerings, and burnt offerings, and offering for sin, thou wouldst
not, neither hadst pleasure therein, which are offered by the law.
Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away
the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will
we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus
Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily
ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can
never take away sins. But this man, after he had offered
one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of
God. from henceforth expecting till
his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he hath perfected
forever them that are sanctified. whereof the Holy Ghost also is
a witness to us. For after that, he said before,
this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,
saith the Lord. I will put my laws into their
hearts, and in their minds will I write them, and their sins
and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission
of sin, where remission of these is, there is no more offering
for sin. And Lord, we just pray that you
would add your blessing to your word this morning. And we pray
this in Jesus' name. Amen. You know, one look around
us and we look at the world, we look at the church, we see
so many different denominations, so many different groups, so
many different cults which have become an offspring of the so
many religions we have. And it wasn't intended to be
that way. We see Jude to earnestly contend
for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. This is the apostolic faith put
together or formulated, not formulated, it was formulated by God through
the prophets and the apostles. Jude says, I write to you of
the common salvation. Yes, there is one common salvation
that is faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and what he's done on
the cross alone. This is the only way that you
can have salvation, and it's the only way you can have sanctification,
and praise the Lord, the only way that you can look forward
to being glorified with him. In spite of all the divisions
that we have, there is one true faith. However, there is not
one true church in this world. There is, in essence, the Church
of Jesus Christ is the true church, but look around us. We see all
the different divisions upon doctrine, and division is actually
good. Division over doctrine is a good
thing when you know where people stand and you can compare it
with what the scriptures say. That's what we're all called
to do, is compare. We're called to be Bereans, as
the Bereans were in Acts chapter 17, to see and test what things
are being said. Unfortunately, this is tragically
lacking in much of the church today because, believe it or
not, just like Ringlin and the Ringlin brothers and Barnum and
Bailey, I think it was P.T. Barnum said it, he said, there's
a sucker born every minute and so many people believe what they're
told without investigating. You know, if I were to hand you
an open jar of some kind of substance, and I said, trust me, this won't
hurt you, I'd hope you would check and see what it was in
there. And that's what we're to do,
we're to test the spirits, we're to test whether things are true
or false according to the scriptures. And there is no other source
for the faith but through the revealed Word of God that's been
preserved for us today. The Apostle John in John chapter
two, verse 18 says, little children, it is the last time. Last time
means that these were the end times that started right when
Jesus Christ was taken or ascended into heaven. The last time started,
the clock began ticking. Paul would say right after that
there would be wolves would come in. Acts chapter 28 says, soon
after my departing, grievous wolves will come in to the church,
not sparing the flock. So that end time scenario took
place, or began, right after the ascension of Christ. So we
know that it's the last time, the eschatos, the last I can't even get the words out
again. I've been doing that all the time. The last, the literal
translation of last day, it is time now that we are in that
period. Paul, the apostle Paul, in Ephesians
chapter one, or chapter four, verses one through six, you can
go there if you want, said this. He says, I therefore, the prisoner
of the Lord beseech you that you would walk worthy of the
vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness,
with longsuffering for bearing one another in love, endeavoring
to keep the unity of the spirit and the bond of peace. Now this
always gets people. There is one body. one Spirit,
even as you are called in one hope of your calling, one Lord,
one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above
all, and through all, and in you all. So this one Lord, one
faith, one baptism, one hope, what is that one that's all together
here? That one is encapsulated in the
Lord Jesus Christ. It's one faith. It's in what
he's done. One body. There is one true church,
and that's made of believers everywhere who have put their
trust in the finished work of Jesus Christ. One spirit. You look around today and you
would think that there is the Holy Spirit is divided into different
groups. There is one spirit and he will
always lift up the Lord Jesus Christ above himself. He'll never
glorify himself. Even as you were called in one
hope of your calling, Christ alone, one Lord, one faith, one
baptism. I always like that because which
baptism is it? Is it the sprinkling kind of
baptism? Is it the dunking kind of baptism? Is it when you were
a kid? Is it when you were an adult? The answer is none of
the above. The one baptism we all as Christians
partake in is spirit baptism. And that spirit baptism doesn't
get you to do all kinds of weird things. That spirit baptism baptizes
you into that one body, the body of Christ. So unlike the Old
Testament, the Spirit of God doesn't descend upon people,
doesn't come and go and leave people. That Spirit indwells
in each believer and you come together. The work of the Spirit
is bringing you into Christ and testifying of Christ. one God and one Father of all,
who is above all. Yes, to God be the glory, great
things he hath done. To him gets all the honor and
glory, who is above all and through all, And in you all, all believers,
have the Spirit of God, which glorifies God and His Son, Jesus
Christ. And we, as believers, get to
partake in that. But let's look at this common
salvation that Jude talks about. And we'll do that by going over
to Hebrews 10, verse 1, where we started. It's amazing what
started as a small little outline actually turned into sort of
a quick review of Hebrews chapter 10. This common salvation is through
faith in Christ Jesus himself. Let's look at verse number one
of Hebrews chapter 10. For the law, having a shadow
of good things to come. Remember, all of the Mosaic law,
all the ceremonial law, all of the tabernacle and the temple
were all a picture or a pattern of the future thing to come,
which was perfect, the Lord Jesus Christ. I think of Colossians
chapter 2 that talks about the body casting a shadow. All the law and prophets were
a shadow, but the body or the substance is Christ. All those things would point
to a further time which we can look back to in Jesus Christ. For the law having a shadow of
good things to come, and not the very image of those things,
can never, with those sacrifices, back in Hebrews, we really don't
do it justice looking at just Hebrews chapter 10, though it'll
suffice for now, because Hebrews 8, 9, and 10 are one package that points to the inferiority
of the Mosaic law in taking away sins. Galatians chapter 3 tells
us the law is just a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ. It's just
a tutor that shows you the way to Jesus Christ, being the fulfillment
of that law. They can never, with those sacrifices
which they offered year by year continually, make the comers
thereunto perfect. I think we all know what happened.
Once a year, the high priest would go into the Holy of Holies,
and he was attached with a rope with bells on him. He was going
right into the presence of God with blood that he would sprinkle
on that mercy seat. And again, that's a picture of
Christ Jesus himself. He is that mercy seat back in
Hebrews chapter 8. He would go in once a year, and
he'd first have to offer up a sacrifice for himself to take away his
sin. That could never do it because
of the sin nature he had. And those sacrifices were done,
there was the weekly sacrifice, and this sacrifice was a yearly
sacrifice that the priest would have to do for the people. Guess what? Do you see any of
these priests anymore? There are none. There are still
no Levitical priests in the world today. That priesthood is fulfilled
and still happens with the priesthood of Jesus Christ, who is at the
right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf. He was indeed
that living sacrifice. He was indeed that one, the only
perfect sacrifice there was who fulfilled all the righteousness
of the law of the Old Testament. What was that, verse number one?
Verse number two? See, the true sacrifice of Jesus would wipe away all sin. If people were truly purged of
those sins, they wouldn't have to keep on going back and forth
to have their sins forgiven. I like to think of it this way.
We as Christians, Jesus Christ has totally forgiven you of all
your sins, past, present, and future. Yet, what do we do? We still sin. Amen? Anybody not sin? Is there anybody
that's so perfect they don't sin? We still sin. And I'm getting ahead of myself. Verse 18 gives the explanation
of what I'm saying now. So if we don't get there, here's
where it'll go to. Let's go down to verse 18, by
the way. Let's skip down there. He says, now where remission
of sin, remission of these is, there is no more offering for
sin. Jesus Christ cannot go back to
the cross. Jesus Christ is forever seated
at the right hand of the Father, well, until He comes again when
He'll be seated on the throne of David. So where there is no
more offering for sin, Jesus Christ's salvation is complete. I'll put an exclamation point
on that. It's complete. Now let me give you this little
scenario here. Think of having a huge mortgage. and you owe, I don't know, a
million, half a million, $100,000, whatever you owe, and you're
making your payments once a month, and suddenly you get a notice
in the mail that says your mortgage has been paid in full, what would
you do? You would rejoice over that.
Wow, somebody's paid our mortgage. Well, that's how it works with
Christ. He's given you, this is back
in Colossians chapter two as well, he's taken your sins and
he's nailed them to his cross. Just like I still go to some
dry cleaners and they still have the handwritten slips. You ever
see those? You guys know what handwritten
slips are like here? they have the handwritten slip, and when
you pay it, it goes on to this pointy, sharp thing, a spindle,
that it would be put on there saying that debt is filled. Well,
that's what happened with our sin at the cross. All of our
sins, everything that was written against us, yes, God keeps a
book. He keeps a record. He knows all
your sins. He knows if you've been naughty
and not nice. He knows all that, and He has
a record of that, and He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to pay
for them, so those sins are paid in full. So we have our mortgage
and we have our sins, they've been paid in full. Now, you guys
have any mortgages? No mortgages yet. Think, and
I don't think I'd ever do this with my mortgage, is if I got
a letter from the bank saying it was paid in full, would I
go and write my check once a month to the bank? I would hope not
because I've gotten that receipt that has been paid in full. But
tragically, what us Christians tend to do is we've gotten this
bill, we've gotten this reconciliation, our sin debt's paid in full,
we still think we have to do something. We still think that
we need to do our good works in order to be right with Christ.
But there's no more sacrifice for sin. It's been done. It's been completed. Jesus Christ
said the three greatest words in the history of language. It
is finished. And he meant it. totally free,
totally forgiven, yet we continue to try to pay him back by our
duties. That's why we have so many different
religions. That's why we have so many different
denominations. We're all trying to find our
way to pay God back because we feel, feel, that's a dangerous
word right there, we feel that we cannot be up to the same level
as God. Technically, we're right about
that. But Jesus Christ, as our only
mediator, came between us and God, all of his work on earth
fulfilled all the righteousness of the Father, fulfilled all
of the law, and he went as that perfect sacrifice to the cross
of Calvary. So this common salvation, the
Mosaic Law, has been annulled, so to speak, by what Christ has
done. The law is still a schoolmaster
that will convict you of your sins and point you to Christ
Jesus. That's the common salvation that
believers have. A church will never do it, nothing
else will do it except for the blood of Jesus Christ, his death
on that cross. Next, Christianity, the common
salvation we have is Christianity, or the church is built exclusively
on Jesus Christ. Let's skip down a couple verses
to verse 7 of Hebrews chapter 10. He says, then said I, lo, I come
in the volume of the book it is written of me to do thy will,
O God. This is Jesus, a picture of Jesus
here. It's written in the volume of
the book from Genesis all the way to the closing chapters of
Revelation. It's all about Jesus' work and
coming. to restore his people that would
reject him and then offer salvation to Gentiles after. And verse
number eight says, above when he said, sacrifice and offerings
and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not neither
hadst pleasure therein which are offered by the law. Then
said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God, he taketh away the
first, that he may establish the second. See, the law is done
away with through faith in Jesus Christ. You are not, we don't
have to try to be obedient to the law, we now have what's called
the fruit of the Spirit. A true believer will grow in
those things. Some slow, some fast, some will
go backwards, some will go forward, but we now have the fruit rather
than the law. Now let's look at verse number
10. By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body
of Jesus Christ, I like the end there, once for all. The exclusiveness of Christ,
there is only one way, one truth, and one life. And that is available
through all to every single human being has access to salvation. Let's turn over to 1 Timothy
chapter two for a second. 1 Timothy chapter two. Let's look at verse numbers one
through six. I exhort therefore that first
of all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of
thanks be made for all men. for kings and for all that are
in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in
all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable
in the sight of God our Savior, who will have all men to be saved
and to come unto the knowledge of the truth, There is one God
and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus,
who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified in due time. So we see this theme, one sacrifice. He came for all, one time, came
to that cross. After all, John 3.16, we all
know, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten
son so that whosoever would believe in him would have everlasting
life. There is no other gospel. That is the gospel. It's exclusive
to Christ Jesus and Christ Jesus alone. It is the power of God
unto salvation, Romans 116, to the Jew first and also to the
Greek. Any other way to access God is
a false gospel. No matter what other way you
try to do it, whether it's through your own self-works or through
the righteousness of another person, except for Christ, it
will not work, it will fail. Let's go over to John chapter
10 for a second. John chapter 10. We looked at
these verses quite a while back ago on Wednesdays when I was
going through often often twisted scripture verses. John chapter 10, and we're going
to look at verses 1. We'll just read through 1 through
verse 18. It says, Verily, verily, I say
unto you, he that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold,
but climbeth up some other way, the same as a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the
door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth, and
the sheep hear his voice, and he calleth his own sheep by name,
and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his
own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him, for
they know his voice. And a stranger will they not
follow, but will flee from him, for they know not the voice of
strangers. This parable spake Jesus unto
them, but they understood not what things they were which he
spake unto them. Then said Jesus unto them again,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. All that ever came before me
are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
I am the door, by me if any man enter in he shall be saved, he
shall go in and out and find pasture. The thief cometh not
but to steal and to kill and to destroy. I am come that they
might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. Let me stop there for a second,
the thief here is not Satan who seeks to take away your blessings
and your riches and your health and your wealth and all that. The thief here, Jesus is specifically
talking of the Pharisees who impeded the way of salvation. They would do anything to block
Jesus Christ and his will being done, even to the point of sending
him to the cross. Anything but Jesus. You can't
interfere with their laws, their regulations, so they would have
Christ crucified. That is the thief. Today we can
apply that same thing to anybody that teaches a false gospel that
would direct you to anything else but Christ alone. I always like to think, just
recently, I think of the megachurch movement. I call it having legalism
or having fun with legalism. It's a blast, have fun, have
a blast there, but what you're gonna get is legalism. You won't
get the gospel, you're gonna get all the different things
that you must do. I call it the you gotta disease. You gotta do this, you gotta
follow three things, three principles to be right with God in your
finances. All these things, and it circumvents
the true Christian message. Jesus Christ is that shepherd. Those I Am passages are wonderful. I am the door. I am the shepherd. I am that
great shepherd, he would later say. Let's continue here. I am
the good shepherd. Pay attention to the I Ams. I am the good shepherd, the good
shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. Now look what it says
about the hirelings. But he that is a hireling, and
not the shepherd whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf
coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth. And the wolf catcheth
them, and scattereth the sheep. The hireling fleeth, because
he is a hireling, and careth not for the sheep." Look at verse
14. I am the good shepherd, and know
my sheep, and have known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even
so know I the Father, and, look at this, I lay down my life for
the sheep. Yes, he laid his life down at
the cross of Calvary. Now what the shepherd would do
in the flock, a good shepherd to protect from the wolf, what
he would do is he would get the sheep back into their sheepfold
and he would personally lay down in front of the gate and he would
have his life risked. for the sake of those sheep in
there. That is the good shepherd, and
that's exactly what Christ Jesus did. Verse number 16, I have these
two words circled in my Bible, and other sheep. See, the original
sheep was he came to as the lost sheep of Israel. but they would
reject him. Tragically, most of the people
would believe the Pharisees, would believe the false prophets.
And I like this part, and other sheep I have which are not of
this fold, that's you, that's me. He was rejected by his own,
but to them, those who did receive him, to them gave he power to
be the sons of God. John chapter one, verse 12. I have, and other sheep I have
which are not of this fold, them also must bring, I must bring,
and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold and
one shepherd. I don't think I have to go and
read all of Ephesians chapter 2 again, but Ephesians chapter
2 talks of the coming together of Jew and Gentile being in one
body, the one body of Christ. Therefore doth my Father love
me, because I lay down my life, and look at this part, that I
may take it again. Yes, he's right there telling
them, I'm gonna die on the cross, I'm laying down my life, but
I'm gonna come back to life. That's the hope of the resurrection.
Verse 18, no man taketh from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down and
I have power to take it again. This commandment, have I received
of my Father." See how Jesus fulfilled the commandment of
His Father, and He came and He willingly laid down His life. Yes, the Pharisees would have
part in having Him condemned and go to that cross. The Romans
would have their part in sending Him to the cross. Some would
say your sin and my sin had part to do with sending Jesus to the
cross, but yet he laid his life down willingly for the sheep,
the original sheep and the other sheep. Aren't you glad to be
another sheep, to be part of that fold that Jesus Christ would
purchase? Let's go to, Let's go to Romans chapter 5,
and I'm going to close here. Romans chapter 5, verse number 1. Therefore, being
justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ by whom also we have access by faith unto the grace wherein
we stand and rejoice and hope of the glory of God. in verse
three, and not only so, but we joy in tribulation also, knowing
that tribulation worketh patience, and patience experience, and
experience hope, and hope maketh not a shame, because the love
of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, which
is given unto us. For when we were yet without
strength in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely
for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good
man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward
us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more than being justified
by his blood, We shall be saved from the wrath through him. For
if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death
of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also
joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received
the atonement. Well, I wanted to look at the
access we have. We have access to God, and having
that access to God through the Lord Jesus Christ gives you this
supernatural peace with God. We have access by faith unto
this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in the hope of the glory
of God. Let's go back to the book of
Hebrews. Hebrews chapter four in this case. See, the false
shepherds, you cannot get the same access to God as you can
through the good shepherd, through Christ Jesus. Hebrews chapter
four, look at verses just 11 through 16, and this is the closing
of the closing passages. Let us, Actually, let's go back
to verse number 10, rather. It says, for he that is entered
into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works as God did
from his. So you have complete rest in
Christ Jesus. No more can your works, no more
can law keeping avail anything. Now we go to verse 11. Let us,
because we have true rest, he says, now let us labor. I like
this. Let us labor, therefore, to enter
into that rest. How do you labor? Well, you get
to know Christ. You get to know His Word, you get to know and
understand what He's done on your behalf. Now no longer any
labor in order to purchase your way or work your way into righteousness
by the keeping of the law, but now you have a great labor looking
at the Word of God. lest any man fall after the same
example of unbelief." See, we need to know what God's will
is as revealed in the Scriptures. When we fail to do that, we don't
lose salvation, but we tend to lose our fellowship with the
Lord, when we take our eyes off of Jesus instead of putting them
on Jesus. In verse number 12, remember
the word, we all know this verse, for the word of God is quick
and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the
joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of
the heart. That's why last week we looked
at the Solus, Solus Scriptura. Don't neglect the power of the
Word of God. Again, it's tragic how so many
people who claim to know the power of God and are sola scriptura
are the first ones to reject it for a lot of nonsense. A lot
of people that supposedly believe that the Holy Spirit is a wonderful
thing have cast off the real working of the Holy Spirit for
filthy mammon, for filthy lucre. and try to have all these principles
that might work in the here and now, but they're heavenly bankrupt. Let's continue. Neither is there
is any creature that is not manifest in his sight, but all things. Think of this. Think of an all-knowing
God. All things are naked and opened
unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. That can be sobering. to a person, God knows it all. His eyes are upon all. His eyes
are upon the righteous. His eyes are upon the sinner.
And if you don't have Jesus Christ as your atonement and your covering,
guess what God sees? God sees the real you, the old
you. I like when I was a kid, there
was a popular song. It was by The Who. It says, can
you see the real me? And you ask that question, can
you see the real me? God does. God sees us as who
we are. But look at the answer he gives.
Seeing then that we have a great high priest, this is Jesus, that
is passed into the heavens, Jesus, the son of God, let us hold fast
our profession. Be firmly looking at Jesus and
what he did. He took your place, suffered,
bled, and died on our behalf, and he is that intercessor. He
is that one that's praying for you, and he's that one that went
between you and God. As a believer, God sees Jesus. Jesus has taken away all your
sin. And even today, while we still
actively and passively sin, Jesus is still enough. Jesus is still
that covering for what you and I do on a daily basis. That's a great thing. Think of
that for a little while. Think of the incredible salvation,
the incredible mercy and grace of God. Seeing then that we have
a great high priest that is passed into heavens, Jesus, the Son
of God, let us hold fast our profession, for we have, that's
a possession, you have not a high priest which cannot be touched
with the feelings of our infirmities. See, when Jesus felt that pain
first in the Garden of Gethsemane, and he had that pain of being
tortured, beaten, nailed to that cross, he was dying for those
infirmities, those sins. He literally did, he carried
all of the burden of sin to that cross. He took the pounding,
he took the scourging, the whipping, the beating, the mocking on you
and I's, I don't know if that was right, your behalf and my
behalf on the cross of Calvary. For we have not a high priest
which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities,
but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Yes, he knew it all. He tempted
the same way you and I are to sin, but yet Jesus Christ was
impeccable, meaning that he was perfect and cannot change. Verse 16, let us. There's another let us. Verse
11 has let us labor. Verse number 16, realizing the
priesthood of Jesus Christ, let us therefore come boldly. See, full access to God. Let us now come boldly unto the
throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help
in time of need. That's the great thing about
being a believer. The mercy of God, the grace of
God is readily available. He knows it all, and you can
go right to Him. No more going through a third
party. We keep on getting things from
third-party billing for medical bills, and they're awful. I'd
rather go right to the source and get it taken care of. We
often go to third-party spiritual people thinking that they can
somehow elevate us. But no, we can go right to the
Lord. We have access to him. So that's a common salvation
that we have. Common salvation we have built
on the exclusive righteousness of Christ and there's no other
gospel and there's no other access to God but through Christ and
his priesthood. We have access to God because
of the salvation that we have. Let
us hold fast. Hold fast to our profession. Know that you know that you know
that Jesus Christ is Savior. And you know what? If you forget
about it for some reason, get back and remember that salvation. That is the key. And it's not
really a secret. It is scriptural fact and duty. Amen? Jesus is enough. He's exclusive. Exclusivity is
a dirty word today. You can't have exclusive anything.
But Jesus Christ was the only one that exclusively brings salvation. Amen.
Once and For All
Series The Disciples' Prayer
Christianity has many different flavors to it; many different nuances, divisions, and denominations. Yet, this was not, and is still not, supposed to be the case. Jude's exhortation to earnestly contend for the faith is one that we need to take seriously, especially as we see the time of the end, the "eshaton" approaching. And, as a side not, the Apostle John actually stated that these are the "last time" (1 John 2:18)In spite of all the divisions there is still only one True Faith. It was given to us through the foundation of the prophets, and apostles, and preserved in Holy Scripture. There is no other source for THE Faith.
