Perilous Times in the Last Days Thomas Boston (1676–1732) Thomas Boston was a Scottish Presbyterian pastor from Duns. His fruitful ministry at Ettrick reconciled a deeply divided congregation there. The following sermon, preached to his congregation in November, 1731, is taken from volume 10 of his Works. In it, Boston describes "times in which it will be hard for people to keep their feet, to know how to carry themselves, to keep themselves out of danger, and to keep a good conscience." "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." 2 Timothy 3:1
