The Preserver Who Purges His Remnant

Micah 5:7-15 assures us that until the LORD's King establishes his universal kingdom of peace, the LORD will preserve His remnant people victoriously among the nations by purging them of all false trust. This calls us and all the peoples of the earth to trust fully and only in Him.

1. The Lord will preserve His remnant
   among the nations in victory (5:7-9)

*The LORD's remnant among the peoples
will be life giving for some (7)

*The LORD's remnant will be death for
others (8)

*The LORD;s remnant will triumph over
all enemies (9)

2. The LORD will purge His remnant of
   false trust (5:10-15)

*Purged of relying on other might
(10-11)

*Purged of seeking other revelation
(12)

*Purged of worshiping other gods
(13-14)

*"Purged" of all nations opposed to
God's program of peace (15)
