When we speak of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit together we are not speaking of any greater Being than when we speak of the Father alone, or the Son alone, or the Spirit alone. The Father is all of God's Being. The Son is all of God's Being. The Spirit is all of God's Being. Personal distinctions are not just three different ways to look at God. Each Person relates to the others as an "I" (first person) and "you" (second person) and a "he" (third person). In Divine terms, God's Being is so much greater than ours that within His one undivided Being there can be an unfolding into interpersonal relationships between three distinct Persons, a one-in-three and three-in-one.
