When Two Families Collide: 1 John 3:9-15

Purpose: John wrote the following section, because he wanted these believers to live in a distinctly Christian manner. This desire was coupled with a confidence that since they are in Christ, they can and will follow through with his instructions. With this concept in the back of his mind, a second important concept comes to mind. These Christians need to be prepared to face hardship from the world as they live as he has instructed. Proposition: God wants you to live in a distantly Christian manner, though it will cost you. Interrogative: How can we do this?
