The seriousness of faith

Faith is a serious thing and the Bible shows us over and over again just how important it is. The Bible says above all or first and foremost we must have faith. Without our shield we are not protected from anything the enemy sends our way. With the shield, and using it properly, we prevent everything from hitting the target. The darts or missiles cause big damage but our God is bigger and protects better than what satan can do. But faith is more than just that. Faith is what starts our journey and carries us through this Christian life. By faith we are declared innocent, through the work of Christ. To please God we must have faith. Our walk is by faith and not by sight. Just as that shield goes in advance of the soldier so faith goes first for us. But if we don't have faith we are in bad shape. Fortunately God supplies the faith we just need to take it.
