How the Mighty Have Fallen

In the Book of Hosea we have seen the cycle of God’s impending judgment, coupled with Israel’s usual phony repentance. And, then God’s ultimate judgment upon them, the consumption of their self elevated kingdom. This was a self-made kingdom, supplanting the true theocratic kingdom of God for the Jews. The TRUE Kingdom will ultimately be ushered in by the future conquering King, who now is worshiped without that earthy throne, but will one day rule and reign from “the Throne of David” in Jerusalem, not Samaria.

We need not do anything, but look for the King, believing upon Him. We do not have to take over society, the “7 Mountains” of the world, or anything like that. He will do that with the “brightness of His coming (2 Thessalonians 2:8)!”
