God has Quickened in Christ

Paul began with two great truths. In 1:3-14, we see God's Great Doxology. In 2:1-10, we see God's Great Awakening. In verse five, Paul introduced this truth with the expression, "Even or Even though...we were dead". Unawakened-man isn't sick, injured, ailing, or weak. He is dead! As a dead man cannot make life-decisions, spiritually dead men cannot make spiritual-decisions. Sovereign awakening is the only hope.
