Church/State Relations

Aim: To bring God glory through our obedience to all His authorities.

Why church/state relations matter to us: because we are under two realms, and because we are to seek the gospel's welfare.

Exegesis: The true nature of church/state relations: the church is to honor the government (vv. 1-3); the government is to protect the church (vv. 4-6); the church is to bless the government (vv. 7-10).

Further application: Our role in church/state relations: we are to be good citizens of both realms, and we are to pray for both realms.
