God Over Nations

Kingdoms and empires impress in their glory and pride, but they are all under God's rule. He raises them up, and he brings them down; he judges them, and sets their bounds in time and space. Daniel 5 takes us to the end of the Babylonian Empire, to show us a foolish and impious prince, his fear, and his fall. It leaves us with a message not to fear man, but to fear the God who holds our breath.
