Given the tenor of the language of the recent election, it would seem that voting for one candidate over the other represents not just a shift in direction but an existential threat. But a Christian tasked with making known the Kingdom of God stands in place of greater existential significance than either of the two candidates.

It's hard, is it not, to think that we hold the keys to life and death for other people? But that's what sharing the gospel does. It opens up heaven. If we will not be heard then heaven is closed and hell remains open. It is a weighty task and one to be treated as sacred, more sacred than our vote, as important as that is. Politicians can have a significant impact on our lives, but the significance of one who preaches Christ is far greater.
