God's Law Drives Us to His Promise

The Law did not and does not serve as a remedy for the curse sin has brought upon man. But it does function, and it was given because of the existence of sin. It serves as a restrainer of sin. the Law convicts sinners of their sin and thus of their guilt before God. And, Finally, the Law points the sinner to Christ.
