Introduction to 2 Thessalonians

A forged letter to the Thessalonian church (as from Paul) which taught that the second coming of Christ was at hand, prompted this second Epistle. Paul disputes the imminence of Christ's return since there must be a falling away and the revelation of the man of sin first.
