Encouragement to Small People in a Big World

In response to the great events explained in the early verses of 2 Thessalonians 2, we can often find ourselves out of our depth, in a life which does not normally experience such huge supernatural events. But here, the Lord promises everlasting consolation and good hope. There is great comfort and encouragement in learning that God's people, 'from the beginning', have been 'chosen to salvation'. We may feel small and insignificant, but are called to 'stand fast', holding to the great truths that the apostle teaches in this significant passage.
