So, hello, my name is Stephen Lee. I'm the founder of Sermon Audio, and we just finished up a meet and greet with part of the board of Bob Jones University. It was the first time I had the opportunity to meet them face-to-face. It's really important for us to do that. We're here on the campus of BJU. We're working very closely with the computer science department and other departments, and it's important for us to understand one another, to be able to share the heart and the soul of what we are. and what makes us tick. You see, we're doing a lot. We're doing a lot with AI, we're doing a lot with The vault, we're doing a lot with infrastructure, we're doing a lot with rewriting our entire site. By the way, it's very important for us to be building out our own infrastructure because we're moving on to other things like the AI tools that are out now, artificial intelligence. And we're using some of these tools for the global sermons, for our audio book initiative, where we're able to transcribe all the sermons that are being uploaded to Sermon Audio. And you're seeing some of this being rolled out. But that cannot happen securely, safely, without us using our own machines. So we have to have step one before we can get to step two. But that's not the heart and soul of what we do. That is not the spirit of who we are. What makes us tick, the spiritual liveliness, the lifeline that we have to the Lord. Because as was in the case of King Uzziah, as long as he sought the Lord, God made him to prosper. he starts to see a decline in his spiritual life, especially as it regards to prayer, and everything else will start to decline. And so we made a big emphasis, a big push on the fact that we believe that everything that they're seeing here, all of the miracles that they're seeing all around us, is 100% as a result to God's answering prayer. And we're thankful that we have that window of opportunity. We just have a few minutes to meet and to share that burden with the board. My prayer is that it will not die there. It will be a burden that is picked up and carried and furthered along. Don't be enamored with all the things that we're doing, all the technical things. Keep first things first. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness. All these other things shall be added to you. Thank you for sticking with us.
I was thankful for the opportunity to meet with some of the BJU Board of Trustees on Oct 3, 2023 to share with them the work that we are doing, the vision we have for the future, and the importance we give to the place of prayer — to which we attribute every success.
We only had a window of opportunity to meet, just a few minutes, but I was thankful anyway to communicate what matters to us the most.
