My God, My God, Why?
Series Matthew
When I read that Jesus cried out with nearly His last breath, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me," it has a "fingernails-on-the-chalkboard" feel to it. Was the Trinity all of a sudden a duo, with the Father and the Holy Spirit leaving Jesus? Of all things to be recorded in Scripture, why would this question from Jesus be included? AND - what's up with those Old Testament Saints rising from their graves? Also - did a 3 hour darkness fall over the whole earth, and if so, did any pagan writers of the time period write about it? We have a lot to ponder about the death of Christ.
