All right, you have your Bible tonight. I knows the crowd that does let's run over to the Gospel of Matthew Chapter number four of the Gospel of Matthew chapter number four and we'll read we'll pray We'll see what the master has for us on tonight and once you get this all stamp on Matthew chapter 4 and verse I will start verse number 23 and we'll read down through verse number 25 The Bible says in Matthew 4 and verse 3 3 in the Gospels. It says and Jesus Went this is after he didn't Call for fishermen to follow him the Bible said and Jesus went about all Galilee Teaching in their synagogue and preaching the gospel of the kingdom. Oh, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria, and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with diverse diseases, that means various, and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy, and the Bible says, he just looked at him and said, pitiful thing. The Bible says, and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, from the Capulets, and from Jerusalem, and from Judea, and from beyond Jordan. We've been talking about prescriptions for life. And tonight, we're going to conclude our series, and we're going to talk about prescriptions for life, the purpose. The purpose. What's the purpose for prescriptions for life? There's a reason. Father, help us tonight. In my own ability, in my own strength, I'm a great failure. But Master, if you show up on the scene, then some folks are going to get some help. Some folks will get some strength. Some folks will get some healing. There are going to be some eyes open to see things more clearer. And so, Father, I pray tonight that you'd manifest your presence through the Word of God. I pray, God, your Holy Spirit that lives on the inside would rise up. And I pray, God, that you'd grab ahold of us And then I pray God that you as a great physician will administer to us the medicine, the medication of the meds that we need to have. And then God, once we have received them, once we have taken them, once we have consumed them, I pray God we watch you do the miraculous. Watch you do it only you are able to do. And with that, Father, we'll shout hallelujah. I pray God we need to find much in courage. I pray God we need much strength. Pray God we leave with a greater vision, a greater mindset, an insight on the things that you want to do through our lives to help somebody else that's in distress, somebody else that's discouraged or defeated or perhaps overwhelmed by life. But God help us first! so that we then can help somebody else. And then God will thank you. I pray God for your mighty presence. You've been great to us, beyond what we deserve. And God, even in our lowest point, you've come by and spoke peace to us, which has caused us to rise up from the dust, rise up, Lord, from the dirt, rise up, God, from that which is destructive. And then God continue to go forward for you. And for that, Father, we say thank you. Thank God there's anything else I need to be mentioning right now. Oh, yeah, yeah, look there's anything between you and I that would hinder you from using my vessel. I pray God to forgive me. I pray God to cleanse me. I pray God to wash me, scrub me, make me pliable, make me usable for your honor and for your precious glory. And for that Father, I'll personally shout, Hallelujah, and all the requests that we've mentioned throughout today. I pray God you meet each one matter of fact I pray God that some of those requests will be answered Lord right now as we're praying and for that God will thank you Okay, we'll stop here. We love you. If I lift anything out I didn't mention that for some reason keep throwing this in my head. I do pray God for the temple Crucifixion buried not pray God, but they get great results a little first day and would just shout and praise your sweet name Alright, it's your son's name. We now pray Jesus. Amen. Amen. Maybe you see that our prescriptions for life Our prescriptions for life. What's the purpose of these prescriptions or what? What are they gonna where they supposed to do? We've got all these messages What's the point? What's the point of listening to them week after week, perhaps even if you get the CD, day after day? What's the whole purpose? There's a reason. There's a reason. And I believe God shows those reasons right here in these scriptures. But before we get to those reasons, amen, we have the prescription, we know we have the physician on scene, but now we need to go get that pharmacist. Amen. So let's go get the pharmacist. Amen. Hallelujah. Because we need the pharmacist. Amen. Because he's going to fill the prescription for us. Hallelujah. Amen. He's going to give us our meds. And you know how we are. We don't have our meds. We start tweaking and stuff. So we need to make sure we get our medication. Amen. Hallelujah. So the doctor's going to get on scene. Hallelujah. He got all this. He got all he needs these. Amen. Hallelujah. Amen. She got all this stuff together here. Let's see. We got it. Yep. We got that together. Amen for us. We need. Oh, we need this. Amen. And I was, I was informed. Amen. Uh, that, uh, this is, this is very needed. Uh, the light hits this and helps you to see more clearly. Amen. And we've, we've got a God that had that light on. Amen. And it falls off like this. And then we'll try to, we might try to fix it. That would be good for having a extra large head. Amen. But hey, man, that wasn't that funny miss Jolene. Hey, man, how are you? Now I got a complex amen, but anyway, let me see here Keep falling off. Oh, man. Oh, okay. We don't need to like today. Hallelujah All right, so All right, so first of all, what do you see is this? Oh We need to just remind ourselves about our prescriptions. A prescription is a direction that's usually written by the physician to the pharmacist for the preparation and use of medicine or remedy. A person, a pharmacist, is a person licensed to prepare and dispense drugs and medicines. He's also called a druggist. And when I think about that, I think about it like this. Jesus Christ, the Bible shows this, He is a great physician. He's a great physician. But at the same time, He has given us His prescription, which is the Word of God. But then also he has given us those who we may term as this, who are pharmacists, which I look at as being the preacher or the teacher. And what he does, he takes that prescription, And then he dispenses it. He gives it out to those patients who come in to be helped from the physician. And so what I want to do my best to do tonight is I've already covered a lot of other things. There's a lot of other things that could be covered. What we already have covered thus far, so far, is this. We've talked about life prescriptions for disappointments. We've talked about life prescriptions for failure. We've talked about life prescriptions for the sluggish soul. We've talked about life's prescriptions for gossip. We've talked about life's prescriptions for confidence, for lust, but also for wisdom deficiency. We've covered those seven things and there's so much more. This medical book, this spiritual medical book, has the remedy for every ailment, for everything that you face in life. It's all right here in the Spiritual Medical Journal. Amen? And all you've got to do, my dear friends, is begin to read it and find out what you need to help you to get through all the various life difficulties that you and I may face. The deficiencies that we may face. It's all recorded right here in God's spiritual medical book. Amen? Now, I want to cover just a few things real quickly. First of all, I want to look at the whole purpose. What's the purpose? What's the whole purpose of this whole thing? Well, number one, the purpose is this. Number one, to have each of us restored to health. Restored to health. Look what the Bible says in verse number 23, And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. That word healing there means cure, it means relief, but it also means restore to health. Restore to health. Relief of disease. And when God gives us these prescriptions from His Holy Word, He wants to bring us, my friends, relief. He wants to restore to us spiritual health. When you are spiritually deficient, God wants to restore you to health. And that's what's so awesome about the Word of God. When Christ walked around my dear friends, that's what He was doing. He was restoring those who need to be restored. He was curing those who need to be cured. If I go to a physician and he don't help me, then I ain't going back. I ain't going back. Why continue to go and go and go and not receive any kind of help for your situation? I think about my grandmother. I know, forgive me, I was still living in Georgia. I forgot what year it was, but they was like, my grandmother must, she wasn't looking good. I mean, we thought she was about to check out and the girlfriend, the glory, and I came to visit her. When I went by and saw my grandmother, man, she looked rough. She looked bad. I mean, it was like she wasn't even focusing. She wasn't even, I don't even remember. It had to have been in the early 90s, something like that. When I got back home, I told my mom, my mom, my mom. Jolene wasn't my mother. But I told Jolene, I said, you know what? I said, ma, she's not going to be here long. But you know what happened? My mom changed positions. She started taking her to a doctor that the lady my mom worked for knew. And when she started going to that doctor, and I came back to visit again, I was shocked. I could not believe that was the same grandmother that I had seen not too long ago. Her features were back. Her color was back. I mean, she was back to her own self. What was going on? Well, the physician she was going to wasn't giving her nothing, really. He was giving her some pills, but one thing, there was nothing in them. There are doctors who do that, too. They'll just give you what some folks call sugar pills or whatever. I mean, there's no real medication in them. But when she changed physicians, she got the help that she needed. What you talking about, preacher? Some folks. have been trying every type of position that they can think of, and they still ain't getting no help. But my friends, once you come to Jesus Christ, the grace position, He'll never let you down. And every time, you'll get the help that you need to receive. Hallelujah. He has come to restore. He has come, my friends, to give relief. So what's the whole point? For each of us, ourselves, to go more to the great physician, to get restoration, to get healing, and instead of going to everything else that we can think of. Because he's got all the answers. By the way, he's never wrong. He's never wrong. The Bible says he cannot lie. We have a God that cannot lie. So number one, so you can personally be restored to health. Number two, so that you and I can spread the rumor or the report. Look at what the Bible says in verse 24. The Bible says, because of the healing, the Bible says, and his fame went throughout all Syria. That word fame here means a rumor or report. Now we've touched on this before, but that's what you and I have to do. When you and I have been restored, when you and I have been healed, When you and I have been helped, OK, we received it. Now go and spread the rumor. Go spread the report. There's a doctor. to help me and His name is Jesus. He is the Great Physician. I was depressed, but when I went to Jesus Christ and I began to cry to Him, then He showed me what I need to do in order to not be depressed any longer. I went to the Great Physician. He helped me through my gossiping stage, not none of us, but through my unforgiveness. He helped me through all my griping. He helped me through all these things I was battling with. When I went to him, he gave me the help that I needed. I tried Phil, but he didn't work. I tried Oprah, but she didn't work. I mean, I tried the newspaper. I tried my horoscope. I mean, I tried watching some movies. I was trying all this stuff, but none of it helped. But when I tried that physician, he helped me. And you know how rumors are. They spread. The question is this, have we been spreading the right type of rumors? So we start spreading those types of rumors, then we'll see things start taking place that will blow our mind. Why in the world would you have a physician that can give you relief, that can give you help, and you not give the report to somebody else? Why would you not give out, spread that rumor to anybody else if he's helped you? And see, sometimes we're telling ourselves, what do you mean, preacher? Because there's nobody following us to the position. There's nobody coming with us. I mean, it's awesome. It's awesome. When somebody first gets saved, it's astounding. You know why what happens next? Other people come. It's still awake. Come here. I'll come for a minute. Face, amen. Come for a minute, Michael. Come for a minute. Amen. Come for a minute, yeah. Little jacket, come here. Come, y'all come here. You know what happens? Y'all stay right here for a second. What happens is I come. Stay right there. And I get my healing. I get my restoration. Okay, I get saved. This is what you're going to see next. Now let's come together. You see, they're bringing a whole bunch of other folks right with them. That's the normal process. The normal process is this, when somebody gets saved, automatically, my dear friends, normally, they're bringing other people with them. Why? Because these folks right here, and let's say that they were grown people, these folks right here, they see a change that's taking place. But they've also been hearing from me what has happened to me. And now, my dear friends, because of that rumor, because of that report, they want to come see for themselves. I want to find out what's going on. Because you know what? They won't tell me this, but they'll be saying to themselves, you know what? I need some help, too. I need some restoration, too. So you know what? I'm going to go check out this physician that they've been talking about. Thank you, guys. Thank you, guys, right here. That's what happens when you've got a good physician. It's like, who's that doctor that did your surgery, Brother Leonard? That did your heart surgery? Who's his name? Dr. Gandhi. Dr. Gandhi. Now, did he do somebody else's here, too? Carlos, Carlos he worked with, he worked on, on Brenda, yeah. Steve, worked on Steve and Brenda, and Brenda. Well you know what? Because of what he did for Brother Leonard, when they found out, when Steve found out that the same doctor he had was the one that Brother Leonard had, do you know what that brought them? A little bit more peace and encouragement. I said, well, man, he's doing great. You know what? All of a sudden, you don't have as much anxiety. All of a sudden, you don't have as much fears. Well, my dear friends, when you and I have been helped, when you and I have been changed, and then my friends folks see that, and we start telling them that, we give that report, that rumor, then the next thing that happens is this. The third thing, we bring others for relief. Look what the Bible says. The Bible says, and his fame went throughout all Syria and vain. They brought unto him all sick people that were taken with diverse diseases and torments, and those that were possessed with devils, and those of a lunatic, and those that had the palsy, and he healed them. What happened? They gave out the report. But then, my friends, what happened was next was this. What they did, my friends, was this. Then they brought others for relief. But they would not have come if they had not believed. So apparently, the rumor, apparently, the report that they heard was so persuasive that they wanted to come find out for themselves. Listen, when's the last time we brought somebody to Him for some relief? We're the last time, my dear friends. You and I have spread the rumor and now we brought somebody else for relief from the master. Now, I don't know about you, but that put me in the conviction seat. See, it's been a while. See, normally I'm working with y'all. I'm not normally working with the folks who are on the outside, so to speak. So I said, me, who's the last time I brought somebody for relief? When's the last time I brought somebody to receive some restoration, to receive some strength? Folks, we need to focus on bringing others so they can get relief too. And there's not one person here who doesn't know somebody that needs some relief. And by the way, they didn't just bring to him the light cases, so to speak. They brought the difficult cases. Look at this thing. The Bible says here, They had diverse diseases, verse 24, and torments. Those who were being tortured. Don't you know some folks were being tortured? I mean, they're just, I mean, they're all tore up. I mean, they're just, they're in a mess. But watch this. Those who were possessed with devils. You know there's some folks that you suspect. I mean, y'all know for sure. But you suspect they demon-possessed. Amen. Those co-workers on my job, they're all demon-possessed. Well, you know what? Why don't we spread the rumors to them? And maybe they'll come with us so they can get un-possessed. I don't know if I bring them up in there. I mean, who knows? The whole church might fall in. Hey, God's got enough power to keep the church up. Amen. But won't we bring these demon-possessed? What are they going to say? Y'all should listen. Listen, and those who are lunatic, That's why Lord said, these crazy. Y'all know some crazy folks? Some of them look crazy. But you know what, my friends? Bring them to the great position. Bring them to Jesus Christ, and watch them receive relief and healing that they so desperately need. He goes on to say here, and those that had the palsy, these are different types of paralysis. And the Bible says he did this, and he healed them. Why? Because they were brought. If you're going to bring somebody, you have to overcome some fears. They ain't going to whoop me. No. Fear of rejection. See, some of us don't want to be rejected. I mean, like when Jolene, me and her first started dating, she tried to reject me. Well, I ain't go, OK. No, I was like, what was the name? Pepe Lewho? Lepew? Right on to me. I was like, no, he can't reject me. That can't be, no. That caused me to get in my head a little more, man. But some of us are afraid of rejection. If I ask them, they may say no. They may get mad at me. But wait a minute. They're all in a messed up shape. Do you want to continue to sit in that messed up shape? But listen, bring them to Christ. Bring them to Him. And so they can get a prescription to help with their illness. And all of a sudden, my friends, they'll get some help. They'll get changed. And then guess what? They'll bring somebody else, and they'll get help. They'll get changed. And it goes on and on and on and on. I know some of y'all are young right here, but how many of y'all remember the Sassoon commercial? OK, one, two. Remember that Sassoon commercial? Yeah, who? Fidel Sassoon. I like my Fidel Castro on the wall, brother. Then we had that picture of that one lady on the commercial, one lady. It says, she told her friends. And she told her friends. And they had different pictures of her, and so on, and so on, and so on. And I get all these people all of a sudden. Because she told them what she had experienced with Fidel Sassoon. We got some news greater than anybody else's. We got somebody called Jesus Christ the Savior. Amen. Amen. And tell them, and it'll happen. So on, and so on, and so on. See, I got some folks, they don't realize they got problems. That's OK. God knows how to help them, amen. What he'll do is he'll say, you can't see your problem. Hold your head up. Now, look through here. Look through his lens. That's all jacked up, ain't it? Man, you don't do no kind of work. We are calluses then, man. He got soft hands. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. He's like, I got laid off. Amen? A baby said, OK. But you know what? God will help them to see. the areas of their life that they need help. Now, all of us would be quick to say, yeah, I need help. Where? Well, I mean, you know, I can't really. But you know what? He knows exactly how to show us how to get the help that we need. And where is that? Now, by the way, he don't need you to go find somebody else's situation. This ain't for spec hunting on somebody else. But that's what we'll do though. We'll look at our spouses. We'll look at our kids. We'll look at our co-workers. We'll look at our classmates. We'll look at other church members. And we'll say, man, they got that problem. They got that problem. They got that problem. He said, hold on a minute. Flip that thing around. I want you to check out what's happening with you. But now you know what? He don't want you to just sit there And he'll want you to sit there and stare at it. Y'all ever did that when y'all was kids? Put that on somebody's hand and let the sun hit it like it's doing mine right now. If it stays there long enough, what's going to happen? It's going to burn. Now, some of y'all are going to try this, but it's going to burn. It'll burn a hole through your hand, amen? Well, some of us, that's what we do. We just look at it. See, I see it. Yeah, it's messed up. It's jacked up, but it's all right. It's a little thing. I mean, it's not as big as the problem Bill Paisley got. I mean, look at that thing. Mine's little. My issues ain't like that. Ain't like Bill's either. All Bill's around here, amen. I mean, my thing's small, amen. But you keep just looking at it and not doing anything about it, you'll get burned. But by the way, if you do get burned, The great brother should come by and he'll put some salve on there. Amen. And then he might have to, he might have to give you a shot. Oh, yes he did. Amen. I told him to bring me one because we going to have to get real around here. Okay, I'm going to leave Jolita. Oh my soul, Jolita's still up, amen. Oh my, I'm going to take this home. My wife's going to say, all right baby. But you know what? That thing's little too. But man, that thing's gonna hurt. But you know what? Sometimes it has to hurt before it gets better. It does. But when it gets better, man, you'd be so happy. You'd be so happy, man, I got that. I'm about to preach this series some more today. But you'd be so happy that you got that shot that you need to have. And then your life will be better. Your home will be better. Your marriage will be better. On top of that, other folks around you will be better. So what do you see, preacher? What we see is this. First of all, the purpose is for us to have restored health. Secondly, to spread the rumor and report to others. Thirdly, to bring others for relief. And then lastly, to become his regular patient. To become his regular patient. Those key where I said his regular patient don't go see no other doctors who says Bible says here verse 25 and After all this happened the Bible says and there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee and from the capitalists and from Jerusalem from Judea and from beyond Jordan Folks from everywhere became his followers. You know what happened when they see other folks get healed They all want to become his regular patients as well. We know what my difference we need to become God's regular patients and See him on a regular basis. I Mean see him Sunday morning. See him Sunday night. See him midweek service my dear friends my fact You can see him also at the house. You can check it out and read some more of his word. I Become regular patients. Because if you're irregular, right now, Steve, he feels a lot better. You just told us you're taking your medicine regularly, right? But there were some times you weren't taking it as regularly as you needed to. So therefore, because he wasn't taking it as regularly as he needed to, then therefore he wasn't getting the results that he could have been getting. All of us, my dear friends, need to go and see our Dr. Jesus on a regular basis. Because some of us only go see Him every once in a while. And we wonder, why is it that I'm up, down, up, down, up, down? It ain't worth it. That's because you ain't going to see Him regularly. Every time He schedules a visit, don't you see? Show up. Amen. Well, I'm going to reschedule. Some of them have been rescheduled for too long. It's time for us to keep the schedule and continue to see him when he prescribes or advises us or gives us directions to come and visit. I know we say, I'm sitting there and heaven's getting blessed and the patch is getting blessed, but I'm sitting there waiting. When am I coming? How long am I going to be? I've been sitting here for two hours. He ain't coming. He ain't called my name yet. Where's my preacher? Sometimes you may come to a worship service. It may seem like you didn't get a whole lot. Like everybody else is getting stuff. Just keep on coming. Just keep on coming. And that one you miss, maybe the woman, he's just about to call your name. Come on. Brett Clayton! Brett Clayton! Where's Brett Clayton? He left. He didn't show up. But if he's there, Brett Clayton! There's Brett Clayton. Come on. You're next. He ain't moved. Amen. What are you saying, preacher? It's a simple little message. There's a purpose for prescriptions for life. And the purpose, my dear friends, is for us to be restored. Secondly, for us to spread the rumor and report to others. Thirdly, to bring others for relief. And then fourthly, my dear friends, for us to become regular patients of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here's my question. What kind of prescription do you need tonight? What kind of prescription do you need tonight? Whatever type of med, whatever type of prescription that you need tonight, He has it for you. All you have to do is come see Him and let Him dispense to you what is needful and necessary. Now the next step is up to who? It's up to you.
