That Smell

"That Smell"

Do you know it?

Can you smell it?

That smell of life and death…

How faith, love, and hope bring comfort and life to those who possess the greatest treasure in earthen vessels.

The ordained sufferings we experience, as a child of God, are part of the curriculum of a disciple of the Lord Jesus. It's all been established to mold us and manifest the life of Christ through our lives. And in the process, the Lord builds a hope in us... a hope that will NEVER disappoint. He uses us, and our experience through the storms of life, to bring comfort, strength, and deliverance to others.

Treasures... within fragile and frail earthen vessels. Clay pots that contain the power of God to eternally prepare sinners to meet God and equip believers to live out the rest of their days for God's glory.

We're the pot and He's the Potter and His power is placed in His jars of clay...

I pray my days will be so saturated with Jesus… that no matter what season of life I'm in — people will always be able to smell Him upon me.

"Now thanks be to God who ALWAYS leads us (the believers) in triumph through Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we (the believers) are to God the fragrance of Christ (the aroma of life) among those who are being saved and those who are perishing (the stench of death)..." 2 Corinthians 2:14-17
