A Rejected Messiah, A Rejected Nation

Our Lord Jesus came to the much blessed nation of Israel, only to find her barren of spiritual fruit and morally bankrupt. In this scathing parable He prophesies to them of the approaching day when the Kingdom of God will be snatched away from them and given to another nation that will bear the fruit that they did not. A rejected Messiah led to a rejected and replaced nation. But what nation was to inherit Israel's previous blessings? Not a physical nation on earth, but a spiritual nation, the true Israel of God, the church of Jesus Christ!
