Christ at prayer

As our Lord leaves the room where he celebrated the supper, he takes his disciples to the Mount of Olives, and there retires alone for prayer. We trace his company as they go, his command to watch and pray, his conflict over the cup, his conquest through prayer, and his conclusion as he returns to his sleeping disciples. There are, in watching from a distance, wonders beyond our comprehension, a depth of experience at which we marvel where we cannot enter in.
