At this time, I want you to take
your Bibles and turn to Matthew 28, verses 18-20, our theme for
this conference. My theme for this message is,
Christians must go and tell the world about Christ. Christians must go and tell the
world about Christ. I read from Matthew 28, 18-20,
And Jesus came and spoke unto them, saying, All power is given
unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye, therefore, and teach all
nations. baptizing them in the name of
the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them
to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And lo,
I am with you all the way, even unto the end of the age of the
world. Amen. Shall we pray? Our Heavenly
Father, we are so thankful unto you for your word. Thank you
for a beautiful day you have given that we can rejoice and
be glad in it. As you teach us your word, help
us to have receptive hearts to receive your word and to be doers
and not just hearers. Grant us that enablement. and
cause us to be about our master's business while we have our being. Bless us now in Jesus' precious
name. Amen. Many 21st century believers
and churches alike have lost their purpose of existence. This
is because we have not been telling the world and sharing the good
news of Jesus Christ with the world. Before Christ ascended
into heaven, he asked the disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they
have been filled with the Holy Spirit. He told them that they
will receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon
them and they will be his witnesses. But Christians of today are living
contrary to this call of the Lord Jesus Christ. Some have
interpreted passages such as these to mean that when we accept
Christ as personal Savior, we must speak in tongues, sing in
tongues. We command the Holy Spirit to do whatever we want
for us. Always expect miracles and supernatural
encounters from the Lord. accept signs and wonders, sow
seed with money in the church. But you and I know that all these
things are not true. This is man's work. This is what
man is doing today to deceive the world. And it behoves upon
us to make things clear to the world that Christ came to die
according to the scripture, that he commanded us to go and tell
the lost about him. And what we need to do is to
go. Our churches cannot grow if we
neglect this calling. Our country would not change
if we neglect our calling. Our world will not change if
we neglect our calling as Christians. And so this morning I want us
to consider the fact that Christians must go and tell the world about
Christ. First of all, we must tell the
Word about Christ because all authority has been given to Him. Now that Christ has gained all
authority, we don't have any excuse if we don't go. Maybe you may say, I'm very shy
so I can't talk to anybody. You may say, I can't speak. I'm
not eloquent, but all these things are not necessary where spreading
the gospel of Jesus Christ is concerned. When Moses met the
Lord in the wilderness, and the Lord sent him to Egypt, he said,
Lord, I cannot speak. The Lord said, who made the mouth? So today, if you tell me you
are shy, I ask you and tell you that Jesus has all power to cancel
that problem for you. If you tell me My tongue is too
big, so I cannot do well in languages. I tell you today, Christ has
overcome that for you. So today, do well to speak. Many a times, we lay emphasis
on the teaching, and it is true. We go and teach. The teaching
is the most important thing. But if you don't go out there,
how can you teach? Many today are glued to the pews
in the church. And so they are not able to go
out there and tell the lost. Beloved, do you know that all
of us sitting under my son this morning are missionaries? Yeah,
we're all missionaries. You know, the dictionary says
missionary is somebody who is sent to a foreign country. I
don't believe that at all. Every field is a mission field. Your backyard is a mission field. Even the people in your house.
They are on the mission field. Because some of them don't know
Christ as personal savior. And so it is behoved upon us
to walk out there and tell them, go out there and let them know
that Christ died for them. The world would never know about
Christ if we don't go out there. And so to be a missionary, you
are somebody who can herald the Word of God. You can tell somebody
how you were saved. Give your testimony as to how
you came to know the Lord Jesus Christ. You are spreading the
Word. But you see, Christ said, Go
ye Many a times we think it means pastors or deacons or elders
should go. No. The word ye means everybody,
every believer. All of us who have accepted Christ
as our personal Savior, Lord and King, we are ye. So the Bible says, all of us
in this room, go! And we have to go. Some have been called to other
countries. The rest of us, this is our mission
field. Just across the street is your
mission field. Your neighbor. God planted you
in where you are today because there's somebody there who has
not heard the word of God. There's somebody there, the Lord
wants you to go out from your house and go and tell him or
her about Jesus. That is why you are there. He
put you there for a purpose. Some say I have not been called.
You need not be called because Christ has given a clear command
to all believers to go and pray. So you need no other call except
of course the Lord calls you to go to another country. But let me remind you of something
that we need to know. Missions started many, many years
ago. And God used the first country,
Great Britain, to start missions. David Livingston and the rest
went to the Congo. He did a great work there for
the Lord. And they saw the hand of God
in that part of Africa. David loved the work so much.
He loved the Lord so much that he told his people, when I die,
bury me, bury my heart in Africa and send my body to Westminster
Abbey. And that is exactly what they
did. Today, Americans are going to
Great Britain to be missionaries. I see the way things are going
in United States today, that if people of this country would
not wake up to the call of the Lord Jesus, to go and tell there's
coming a time when others will come from China or Africa or
Japan to come and tell. I don't think you want that to
happen like it has happened to Great Britain. And so, beloved,
let us rise to the occasion. Let us go as the Lord has commanded
us. Paul put it this way in Romans
chapter 10 and verse 14. Romans 10, 14. Paul says, How
then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without
a preacher? How can the preacher do it unless
you go there? The Muslims have a saying. They
said, if the mountain would not come to Muhammad, Muhammad will
go to the mountain. And beloved, The world will not
come to us. We have to go to them. And that is why Christ said,
go ye. Because he knew that the world
would never just get up and come to serve him or to know him unless
we go there and tell them about Jesus. But you know something? God knows better than we do. He knew that if he does not go
with us, we will not go. So listen to what the Lord said. He said, hello, I am with you
all the way. All your fears have been counseled
by the Lord Jesus Christ. I remember many years ago when
I was staying in New Jersey in the Christian Admiral, which
is by the beach. Every Saturday or almost every
day, we go to the beach distributing troughs. Some would not receive
it. Some would say, just leave me
alone. But we never, never stop distributing
tracts. Because we need to go and let
the world know that they have a savior. Beloved, people are
propagating around today that Christ died for some people,
but he didn't die for others. And so they, which means some
have been mandated to go to hell. That is never true. I tell you
today, if somebody goes to hell, the person went there by choice. But you and I need to go there
and tell that person. And when he or she refuse to
accept what we tell them, then they go to hell. by their own
doing and not God destined them to hell. It's never true. The Lord commanded us, like we
heard this morning, how can they be baptized if we don't go and
tell them? If we tell them, they will do
what? They will believe. And then when they believe, we
do what? We baptize them. You see, so we have a chain of
what to go through. Number one, we go. If we don't
go, we'll never teach them. If we go and teach them, they
will believe. And when they believe, then we
can do what? We can baptize them. So beloved, those of us who have
been commanded to go we need to do our job. We have sat too
long on the wonderful preaching from our pastors and whatever. Time has come for us now to run
out there and let the world know in our schools, in our workplaces,
in our community, elsewhere, everywhere we find ourselves,
we need to present Christ and him alone crucified. When Christ was here on earth,
He said in John 9, for I must do the work of him that sent
me while it is day, the night comet that no man can wake. Time has come for us now to go. This country is going backwards
instead of forward. Many things are coming into society,
things that yesterday were not allowed, now they are being allowed
into our society. And if we don't go early, things
will go to the wrong direction. Beloved, when I read some of
these things, I weep within my heart that human beings could
change what God has made into their own image. And so, it has never before come
so urgent for believers to go out there and proclaim Christ. We have more on our hands today
than yesterday. If ministry is difficult, then
this is the time. Because there are some countries,
United States citizens cannot enter. But if we can bring their
people here and train them and send them back, they will be
able to go and tell. And people are doing that. And
you need to do that more, because time is not on our side. I must do the work of him that
sent me while it is day. Now that we have our being, now
that we know what is happening, beloved Christians, we have a
bigger responsibility. This is the time for us to wake
up and go. You know, I find it difficult
to believe that we are not able to match the Jehovah Witnesses
and the Mormons. Every day they are there telling
lies, and we have the truth, and we are not there like them.
We need to go. Time has come for us to go. If you have made up your mind
that you have not been called, I'm telling you today that Matthew
28, 19 calls you to go and tell. Because the ye is all of us. I try to tell. May you also go
and tell. When we sang the song, tell me
the old, old story. How can you tell that story if
you don't go out there? You can't tell the story here,
because all of us, the Lord said, and when we, when they have been
baptized, they should be joined to the church, and we teach them
all things whatsoever. So we are learning all things
whatsoever. But when we learn them, we need
to go out there and tell the rest. Are you willing to go? Are you willing to go? Because
the commander says, go! Never be afraid, for I'm with
you all the way, even unto the end of the age. And that is true. I travel from Ghana to United
States, the Lord is with me all the way. The same way you can
go to the corners, the byways and highways, the Lord is with
you. He will go with you. So never
fear. Never fear. Beloved, when Christ
asked the disciples to wait in Jerusalem until they have received
their spirit, To give them power, they waited. The Holy Spirit
came. And then they stayed in their
comfort zone. What did the Lord do? He brought
persecution. Are we waiting for persecution
before we go? Beloved, let us go now before
the persecution comes. It is a privilege. If you don't
know, I'm telling you today. It is a privilege for us to go
and tell the lost about Jesus. Ask me why? Because God could
have taken us home. Immediately we are saved and
bring angels in heaven to come and witness. And so if he has
left us here to be witnesses unto him, then it's a privilege. And we need to go about that
work with speed. So from today on, let us go. That is the command from the
master. Go. And if you go there, you'll
be able to tell. What you are going to say, the
Lord has given it to you already. He said, He died. He rose the third day. He's sitting
at the right hand side of the Father, interceding for us. What
we need to go through, He went through for us. He died in my
place. He died. in your place, why not
go and tell somebody else that Jesus loves him or her? This is our responsibility as
believers. Let us not behave as though we
are the only people to enter into the kingdom. Let us hold
hands with others and with their beauty of love let us enter into
the kingdom with joy that Christ died for our sins according to
the scripture. What a joy will it be that when
you enter heaven somebody will come and whisper into your ear
Do you remember me? I am that man you spoke to many
years ago and I gave my life to Jesus. What a wonderful day
would that be. What a joy would it be in heaven. But you need to go before you
can do this. This is my prayer. Believers everywhere are doing
the same thing. They don't want to go. People
say, I've not been called. You have been called. Matthew
28, 19 calls you. It's automatic call. You don't
need to have a special call. That is the general call. And then we have the specific
call. The specific one is where the
Lord talks to your heart to go to China or Japan or wherever. But being here in this country,
every place is a mission field. The Lord said, the harvest truly
is plenteous, but the laborers are few. It is because we don't
want to go. That is why the laborers are
few. But we are plenty here. And if we go, we can cover a
lot of places. Brothers and sisters, let us
heed to the call of Jesus Christ because he has promised to be
with us. But let me tell you something.
Even if you go there and somebody harms you, and you are lifted
by the angels to heaven, which one do you like? I have a question
for you. How many of us would like to
be in heaven tomorrow? Okay. The next question. How many of us would like to
die tomorrow? You see, this is the problem
we have. We love to go to heaven, but
we don't like to die. If I go out there and somebody
shot me today, I know I'm going to be with Jesus. And Paul says
that is far better. But you see, since we have not
seen heaven before, we think we are in the best place. But
the day that you enter heaven, then you realize you have missed
something. And so beloved, let us take the mantle today. And let us take the command that
the Lord has given to us seriously. And everywhere we go, let us
proclaim Christ, that he died for us, the death that we should
have gone through, so tomorrow we can have life and have it
more abundantly. But a statement is, go and tell. I must promise my God that I'm
willing to go. And you have to promise your
Lord that you are willing to go. So that the song that we
sang, Anywhere With Jesus I Can Safely Go, will be a reality. May the Lord bless us and lead
us and guide us. Thy now be to go, we'll take
the strength from Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith,
and move on, not fearing, because we know he's with us, even unto
the end of the age. May the Lord bless us all. Amen. Shall we pray? Our Heavenly Father,
we thank you so much that we have somebody like you, who love
us so much, and you love the world that you created, and you
said, having saved that, we should go there and tell the rest so
they can also be saved. We thank you for the promise
attached to it, that you are with us even unto the end of
the age. Help us to go. Help us to tell,
so that the rest of the things that you want us to do, we'll
be able to do accordingly. May your loving kindness help
us to do this, for in Christ's precious name, we have prayed
with thanksgiving. Amen. Thank you, brother. That was
great encouragement from the word to go. Did you get that
message? Go. Go. You're going to see that
word everywhere you look today. You've heard it from the pulpit
many times today. It's on the wall back here. It's on the table
up here. It's everywhere. When you sit
down to eat, you're going to see that word go. And it's just
a reminder to you that God has given you that calling to go.
Have you been called? Yes, yes, that's what our brother
said. You've been called. This is a general call. The Lord
has commanded us all to go. Now where you go will be determined
individually. It might be to the neighbor next
door, to your fellow student, to a co-worker. It could be to
somebody across town, somebody you meet on a daily basis or
weekly basis. Or it could be some foreign mission
field. And that's up to the Lord to
lead you in that way. But it's very clear that we have
all been called to go. And so let us not be like the
farmer who would be sitting in his comfortable chair in his
farmhouse while the fields are widened to harvest. And he just
sits there. And he sits there until it's
too late for the harvest. I have detected a theme. All
three of the speakers thus far have mentioned John 9, 4. I must
work the works of him that sent me while it is day. The night
cometh when no man can work. Do you sense the urgency and
the call that the Lord has given to us? It's a sobering thought
that Dr. Bob Jones III likes to say this
just as a reminder to us. The most sobering thing in the
world today is that people are dying and going to hell today. You don't know if you'll have
another chance to share the gospel with that family member or that
neighbor. Who knows what a day may bring
forth? I mean, that person could be gone tomorrow. Or you could
be gone. Or the rapture could take place.
And so there's a sense of urgency here. We need to go. And we need to go now without
delay. I like what our brother said,
the world will never know if we don't go. The world will never
know if we don't go. So let's get going.
