Faith Under Trial

140 ( 128 | 12 )

Falsely accused Paul faces his first trial alone before a Roman governor. It is remarkable that he can 'cheerfully' give such a powerful and persuasive defence. Paul appears to have no fear of the threat that is hanging over his life. Instead, he sees this as another opportunity to bear witness to the truth, both publicly and later in personal conversation with Felix.

Unfazed by the injustice of it all, Paul's transparency and integrity is in stark contrast to the duplicity of those who incriminate and judge him. The authenticity of our faith is proven when it endures injustice cheerfully without caving in.
