Please preach to us. Well, it's a privilege again,
and thanks for the opportunity that I have to come and share
God's word with you and about the ministry. As you know, India
is a land that is closed for missionaries. Missionaries cannot
get into India. For the last 30 years, there
were no missionaries coming. But however, there are people
who come and do mission work in India, coming on visitors'
visas and other things. But the government does know
that some of them do mission work. But they turn a blind eye
as long as there's no problem, as long as they do not cause
any political unrest or get attention to themselves. They are welcome,
so many of the people working with us who come and help in
the ministry there usually come on visitor's visas, but they
don't come as missionaries to India. So pray for this nation
of India, over one billion people, and it falls in that 1040 window,
and that's where the Barium Baptist Bible College has been laboring
for the last 50 years. This year we'll be celebrating
our 50 years of the ministry and we praise God over 4,000
graduates have graduated and churches have been started. It
was a blessing to know how God used my father, Dr. Jacob Charlie,
who's going to be with the Lord instrumental in establishing
these churches there in India. And what a thrill it is to see
our graduates. If you read our newsletters that the latest one
came, one of our graduates started 12 churches in Burma. And that
is in the 1040 window. And we support this young man
who graduated. If you listen to his testimony,
he was persecuted by the Burmese army and imprisoned. all kinds
of stuff, but he came to the Bible college and through God's
people giving sacrificially, he was able to get free tuition,
get trained, and now he's gone back to his people and carrying
the gospel. Many people ask, you know how
much it will cost to train a missionary from the United States to go
overseas? It will cost you about $150,000
to $200,000 to put one missionary on the mission field, and it
takes you approximately 10 years with all their deputations, schooling,
and everything people were saying. But for us, it will cost us $2,400
to train one young man for four years and put him on the mission
field who knows the language, who knows the people, and who
can take the Word of God to their people. It costs us about $50
to train one of these young men. So it's a great investment if
you want to get the message out to the people of that land. It's
a great investment to support these young people to take the
gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the unreached world. I've
been to many of these places in Nepal and Burma. There's no
roads to some of these villages. There's no access to those areas.
And some of these young people have walked at least a week,
sometimes two, three weeks, and have come and trained in the
Bible college. And now I've taken back, I've gone back and taken
the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. And it thrills our hearts
to see how the people have gone back and churches are planted
and souls are being saved. So continue to pray for the ministry
of the Barium Baptist Bible College. Our main thrust is to train young
people. Church planting is our main thrust. So pray that we
will continue to do this ministry. That was my father's goal. Before
he died, one of his goals was he wanted to have 1,000 Bible-believing
churches throughout the land of India. He was only able to
accomplish about, God used him, about 550 to 560 churches. But we see that the graduates
are continuing to increase these numbers. So pray for us as we
continue this ministry. I'll tell you a little bit about
myself, how I got into the ministry. As you know, my father was a
strong preacher, the father of fundamentalism, we call him in
India. He was the one who stood firm for the truth, for the sound
doctrine, And when I saw what he went through in his life,
I looked at it and I said, you know, I don't want this kind
of a ministry. I don't want nothing to do to
be in the ministry that my father went through, the persecution
he faced, the accusations and the threats. And I said, why
should we go through all this? And so I had the opportunity
to come to the United States to study, which I did. And when
I graduated from Bob Jones University, I went. My dad gave me an ultimatum. My sister was in medical school
in the West Indies. He said, you go join your sister
there. And he gave me an ultimatum. I had to decide overnight. Now,
that was my dad. If he told you to do something,
you better do it, or else, you know, what would happen? We knew. So he told me, you're leaving
next morning. And I was on the plane next morning to be with
my sister. I thank God for the opportunity
my father was a great man of God. I have a great respect for
my father, who was a godly man. I don't think anybody I have
put in such high esteem as my father in many ways because he
stood for the truth. He was a real man of God who
was a man of prayer, a man of a lot of wisdom. And many a times
I used to argue with him about it. He said, son, you've got
to serve God wherever you are. And that always stuck in my mind. And one day, in my third year,
I was in medical school. I was going on my own way. And
I had this great vision and great dreams about the American dream.
I said, well, I'm not getting into the ministry. I'm going
to enjoy my life and do what I want to. But the Lord had something
different. You know, you can run from God,
but you can't hide from Him. And so that one night, A year
of 1989, June 19th, the Lord really spoke to my heart. He
got my attention. It was in Chicago that I was
training in one of the hospitals in Chicago area. And as I was, that night, my
sister and I were in our clinicals in the hospital. She used to
work at night, and I worked at United Apostles Service. And
I had to pick her up that night, which I did as a routine. And
as I drove to the hospital that night, I came to a stop at the
intersection at the street in Chicago. And after I stopped
at the intersection and I proceeded, I heard something like fireworks
go off and noticed my passenger side window was all shattered.
And I realized that I felt like somebody with a baseball bat
hit my shoulder. And as I drove a little further
down, I felt this excruciating pain, the burning sensation.
And my right arm, I could not move. And then that was the night
I realized, as I was driving myself to the hospital, that
I was shot. And then I realized that how
close I was to death. And as I drove myself and parked
haphazardly because the pain was so excruciating, I went in
to the emergency room and the doctors looked at me, my sister
saw me, my roommates and friends. And as I lay on that gurney that
night, I realized how close I was to death. The Lord had a purpose
for that. And it was that night as I was
waiting the next morning to have a surgery that I prayed that
night. I said, Lord, whatever you want
me to do, I will do. The parable of the rich man came
to my mind. He said, eat, enjoy and be merry. And then the Lord comes to him
that night and he says, thou fool, thy soul is required tonight. Yes, that's what I was thinking
about. The great American dream. And then the Lord had a different
way. And then it was in the year of 2000, my father got really
sick. He was here in the States. And
then he was in Boston, Massachusetts. And he had passed out there.
He came over to me, to the place where I was training in Flint,
Michigan. And he said, son, I don't know how long God will keep me,
but I need some help. And as I knew that night, that
day, that I was going to go and help my father because I knew
he needed that help and it was my wife and I prayed about it
and we knew from the beginning before we got married I told
her you know if you're going to get married chances are you'll
be going to India if you don't want to get married go to India
then don't marry me that was simple as that and she said wherever
the Lord wants us we'll be and so in the year of 2001 We went to India to serve with
my father. And what a privilege it was for
me to be with him, to see the needs of how God has worked. And so continue to pray for me
as I continue to take this responsibility that God has given to me. And
then last year, my brother has come to join us to help in the
ministry. So it's my brother and I who are now carrying on
the ministry of the Barium Baptist Bible College. So I encourage
your prayers that God will give us wisdom. that as we train these
young people, that God will keep us faithful till he comes, so
that the word of God will be preached throughout the land
of India. Just like Paul had a desire that all of Israel should
be saved, it's my desire that all of India come know the Lord
Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. That's our desire, and
that's the desire of the Barium Baptist Bible College and its
founders. that the gospel be preached and
churches planted. And to keep that focus in mind,
we would like to continue and we ask you to pray for this ministry. As in this missions conference,
they said it was preaching about the harvest, about the harvest
time. And as I thought about it, I
came to a passage of scripture that I preached before about
Paul. The life of Paul is very... I
like his character, his life. And as you study, Paul was a
very dynamic individual, a man of great charisma, a man who
was very bold for the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's
what he said, for I'm not ashamed of the gospel of the Lord Jesus
Christ, because it's the power of God unto salvation. And he
was very bold to take a stand for God. My friends, are we willing
to take a stand for God today? The world you see today has got
so much world philosophy, it's getting into our churches. But
are we willing to take a stand for our Saviour? And many a time,
as you may not understand here, Everybody you talk to in this
nation is a Christian. As I work in Camp Atterbury,
as a physician, I take care of those soldiers who are going
over to Iraq and Afghanistan and other places. And whenever
I ask some of those individuals, have you ever trusted Christ?
You know, some of these soldiers just say, yes, I'm a Christian.
You know, everybody is a Christian here. in this country, but in
many other countries, there are not. And that's why I entitled
my message today. I want to let you know why I
am a Christian. And here you notice in Acts chapter
22, as we turn to Bible's verse 35 onwards, we read what Paul
was, why he was a Christian. He never stopped to take an opportunity
to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ everywhere he went. Wherever he went, anybody that
came across his path, he always shared the gospel of the Lord
Jesus Christ. And that is the responsibility
that God has given to each one of us today, is to share the
gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, to spread this good news to every
creature in every part of this world. And what are you doing
about it, is the question. How are you spreading this Gospel? And here in Acts 21, verse 35,
And when He had come upon the stairs, so it was that He was
born of the soldiers for the violence of the people. But the
multitude of the people followed after, crying away with Him.
And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the
chief captains, May I speak unto thee who said, Canst thou speak
Greek? Are thou not that Egyptian, which
was before these days, made us an uproar and led us out into
the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers? But
Paul said, I am a man, which I am a Jew of Tarsus, a city
in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city. And I beseech thee, suffer
me to speak unto the people. And when he had giving him license,
Paul stood on the stairs and beckoned with his hand unto the
people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto
them in the Hebrew tongue, saying, Men and brethren and fathers,
hear ye my defense, which I make known unto you. Let us pray. I, only Father, as we meditate
upon this word for a few moments, May we, O God, see the courage
of Paul. May we see his boldness. May
we see his desire, his passion this evening to share the gospel,
even though when he's been led away and been asked to be put
in prison and been beaten. O God, we see how he was willing
to take a stand for you. May your God be revived today
to take a stand for our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. So bless
this hour together, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen. My friends,
you see, notice here, Paul never lost an opportunity to share
the gospel, to tell the people how the Lord saved him. And as
you read throughout the book of Acts and all his writings,
you notice that Paul always shared the gospel of the Lord Jesus
Christ. He always gave glory to the Lord Jesus Christ. He
told his story before the rich, the poor, the great and the small,
before the high and the low, before kings and before jailers. He told his story how God saved
him. When was the last time you were
able to share the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and tell people
how God saved you? There's a world out there, even
in this nation, in this city, in this town, that many who have
not heard the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, have you ever gone
out and shared that testimony with them? Paul took that privilege. went out there and here as you
notice here Paul climbed the steps to the castle and then
as he looked around to the crowd and all his persecutors there
who said I was telling him to do away with him. You know, Paul
did not think about the persecution. He did not think about the beating
that was going to happen to him. But Paul took notice of that
crowd and he said, this crowd is going to a Christless eternity.
I need to tell them about the Lord Jesus Christ. And there
he takes permission and turns around and tells them about Christ,
my friends. He never thought about himself.
He thought about the Savior. Are we thinking about the Savior?
That's why he writes in Corinthians, you're not of your own, but you're
bought with a price. We're bought with a price, my
friends. We're bought with a price of the blood of the Lord Jesus
Christ, who redeemed you and me. And it is our duty and it's
our responsibility to take the gospel and not be ashamed of
the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. That we need to be bold
for the cause of Christ. And Paul was that kind of a man. There he turned to the captain
and said, Captain, may I just say a few words to these people?
And Paul told that great story of the glory of God. He told
exactly how he told before Agrippa, and before Felix, and before
all the people wherever he stood, how that on his way to Damascus,
how he met the Lord, and how the Lord cried out from heaven
saying, Saul, Saul, what persecutors thou mean? And then he tells
about, he says, Who art thou, Lord? And he says, I am Jesus
whom thou persecutest. And then if you turn to that
passage of Scripture in Acts, you'll notice there how the Lord
transformed his life. And he tells them how he persecuted
the Christians and how he consented to the death of Stephen. He tells
them how, what a memorial time, a trip he had to Damascus. He
tells them about the light that was shown on his path. and the
voice that was spoken to him. My friends, that was the day
his foundations were shattered. Things have changed. He told
them how his life was transformed. When did you share that? What
God has done in your life to someone? Did you tell anyone
about what the transforming act that God has done in your life? Paul was willing to share that.
He never lost an opportunity to share The Gospel. And that's
what I always urge you today. Do not lose the opportunities. You may get it just once. And
you may never get another opportunity to tell them about the Savior.
Take those chances. My friends, a real Christian
is the one who has a vital experience with the Lord. And that when
you have that experience with Him, and that when you know that
you're saved, and that you've been forgiven, it's your duty
now to go and share the Gospel. That was Paul's first thing he
said, what will thou have me to do? He did not say, Lord,
I ought to pray about it. I'm going to think about what
you want me to do. No, he said, Lord, what will
thou have me to do? And the Lord gives him instruction
what he should do. And he tells him, I have chosen,
you're a chosen vessel for me, Paul. My friends, God has chosen
you when he saved you. Now you're his vessel. Are you
ready to serve him? Or are you sitting back, like
so many of those disciples you read in the Gospels, where they
wanted to be the disciples, but they all had some excuses to
follow Christ? How many of you, God has called
you, but you want to give excuses? You want to sit in your comfort
zones? You don't want to be moved away where you're comfortable?
My friends, the first reason why I'm a Christian is, I need
a Savior. I have a longing for a Savior.
The world needs a Savior today. Look at all the chaos we have.
Look at all the turmoil. Look at the famine and everything
that's going on in the world today. My friends, the world
cannot solve these problems. Only the Savior can. Yes, the
government will fail. You saw the great disasters we
saw in Louisiana, the Katrina, and people blamed everyone. They
said the governments fail. So many things fail. But I can
tell you one person that will never fail you throughout your
life is the Lord Jesus Christ. He never fails. His promises
are true even till today. And what are we doing about that
kind of a Savior we have? Are we carrying that message?
Is it longing? Yes, my friends, you know that
you see the world over. In India, we see millions and
millions of people worshipping idols. and worshiping anything
that looks, that resembles a god, or something that is supernatural,
they will go and begin to worship blindly. Why? Because they all
are longing for a god. They're longing for a savior.
They are longing for peace that will pass all understanding in
their lives. Everyone longs. As a physician,
I see many people And many a times, I've heard people when they come
to the, when we have to say to them that you don't have much
time, you're going, you probably have six months or a year to
live. You know, there are so many different
answers we get. Some of them are ready to die.
Some of them, no, dog, you cannot say this to me, I have more,
so much things to do. How can I leave my family? How
can I do this? How can I do? I'm not prepared
to die. They're not ready. My friends,
everybody needs a savior. There are some who say, one young
soldier came up to me, he was talking, he says, Doc, I'm an
atheist. I said, no, you're not. He said, what do you mean? I
said, you believe in something, don't you? You believe there's
no God, so you're not an atheist. He said, you're right. I said,
I said, what will happen if you're on a rock and you get shot and
you're ready to die, who will you call? You know what his answer
was? I said, oh God. I said, you believe
in a God, don't you? I said, are you ready to meet
the Savior? Why don't you trust Him? My friends,
yes, even people who think that they do not trust God, they think
there's no God, but when they are ready to die, They want somebody
stronger, somebody with greater power to give them one more chance. They want one more chance. And
what a great opportunity you and I have is that we know who
is this person. It's the Lord Jesus Christ who
can give you a chance to get saved. Yes, my friends, only
Christ can satisfy a longing soul. Pleasures cannot satisfy. The world cannot satisfy. Your
materialism cannot satisfy. Your money cannot satisfy. Only
Christ can satisfy. There are many who have a lot
of wealth, but they die empty and go to a Christless eternity. What are you doing about it?
Yes, there's a longing. I long for a Savior. Secondly,
I'm a Christian, and I tell people why I'm a Christian. It's because
I have sinned, and I need the forgiveness of my Savior. I'm
a sinner, and I need the forgiveness of our Savior. And as you know,
many of us who have quoted this verse, Romans 3, 24, all have
sinned and come short of the glory of God. Yes, my friends,
I was bound in sin. And I know I wanted to go my
own way. I wanted to do the things that
will please me. But the Savior found a way to
get my attention. The Savior said, No, Edwin. That's
not the way I want you to go. You're going to end up in a miserable
condition. There is a way I want you to
do. Come serve me. Serve me and you
see the joy and the peace that you have. Yes, many people ask
me, my friends ask me, why are you doing this? Why are you not,
you can, my family, even my own family who know the scripture
said, Ed, why do you want to leave all this? You can support
dad by making money here. I said, that's not what the Lord
wants. He wants an individual to work in his vineyard. The
laborers are few. The harvest is ready. My friends,
the problem is not the harvest. The harvest is already there.
But we don't have laborers. And we need to be out there.
You know, we talk, we need to be out there. Yes, I was running
away like the prodigal son. I wanted to do my own thing.
I wanted to enjoy the world and its pleasures. But soon I realized
how shallow The world was. How shallow it was all. And there
I was, sitting lonely and thinking, going my own way. And I saw what
a void in my life it was. Then I realized there's a Savior
that I can come to. Oh, I thank God for that knife,
for that bullet. It got my attention. Maybe if
it had gotten on my head, maybe I'd have more sense today. But
praise God, He just gave it to me on my shoulder. Yes, He was
waiting for me to come back. He was there waiting with that
robe and that ring and ready to rejoice for me to come home. And as I came back to the Savior,
oh, He put that robe of righteousness over me. He was ready to give
that ring back to me. I said, yes, come home my son,
serve me. Are we willing to serve? Yes.
Friends, you can find the forgiveness of our Savior at the cross of
Calvary. Yes, you can come to Him if you
do not know the Savior. I urge you this evening to come
to Him just as you are. He's willing to forgive you of
your sins and give you a life eternal. Are you willing to come
to Him? The third thing, our time is
going, and actually Pastor Fuller said I can preach as long as
I want because he wants to go and eat upstairs. So I think,
but the third point I wanted to make here is, I'm a Christian
because I need the power of God in my life. We need the power
of God. Today, yes, my friends, we do
not talk about the power of God. We do not talk about being filled
with the Holy Spirit of God, because the charismatics and
others have taken it away. My friends, if you are not filled
with the Holy Spirit of God, if you have no power of God in
your lives, you cannot do anything. Yes, you can look at the disciples,
the Lord Jesus Christ gave them power and authority, but they
were not successful. Why? There were some shortfalls
in their lives. Yes, they came down from the
mount with God and as they came down there was a man named Jairus
He had his son who was a lunatic and he wanted them to cast the
devils out and the disciples couldn't do it But God had already
given them the power and authority But they were not successful
and when we read there the Bible says that the Lord told him You
cannot do this unless by what? prayer and fasting My friends,
you want the power of God in your lives. You need to have
a very strong prayer life. How many of you fast? Many of
you go on diets. This is a good way to lose weight.
The Bible has the answers. As a physician, I tell that,
you know. People say, how can I lose weight? You know, put
less in your mouth and you'll be alright. You know. But here, the power
is this. Prayer and fasting. How many
of us really fast and pray for the needs of the world? How many
of us then spend time on our knees and pray? You know, if
you look at in the scriptures, every man who has powerful use
of God, we're men of prayer. We sing that song, Daniel was
a man of prayer. But how God used him. How many
of us take time and pray? You want the power of God? Then
meditate upon His Word. Read it. How many of us just
read a chapter a day and be thankful for it? My father has read the
Scriptures cover to cover over 500 times. He prays at least five times
a day before he went to be with the Lord. That wasn't my father. He knew the Scriptures. He had
a great discernment. Why? Because he was in the Word
of God. Many of us look at discernment
and we want discernment from all kinds of world. We read books
on how to do this. We go to seminars on how to do
that. My friends, you don't have to go anywhere. You have the
answers right here. Read your book of Joshua. This book
of the law. Oh, this book of the law shall
not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein
day and night. And then thou shalt make thy... Oh, I'm misquoting
it now. It's not coming to me. Sometimes
my brain goes numb. But he says that the only way
you can do is when you meditate upon the Word of God, you have
good success. You want success in your life?
Then you wait upon this book. You don't need seminars. I don't
like seminars anyway, so I don't go to them. I don't learn much. But if I want, you go right here.
You need the power of the Holy Spirit of God. You need to be
filled with the Holy Spirit of God if you want to have a powerful
Christian life. That's all you need. You and
the Savior make the majority. And you can win many battles
with the Savior. Because it is a man that put
his trust in the armor of flesh, my friend. You trust in God. I've seen that through in my
Christian life, my father's Christian life, in the ministry as I've
been. How God, many a times we have so many great needs, we
don't know where we are going to meet that need. But God always
has come through. He's been faithful. Our Savior
knows our needs and He's ever fulfilling them. Yes, we need the power of God
in our lives. We need the power of God to overcome
temptations in our lives. We need to have the power of
God so that we can be used to accomplish His task. We need
the power of God. The next thing I want you to
notice why I'm a Christian is that I must be ready for death. Are you ready for death? Are
you ready to meet the Savior? When Paul came to the end of
his life, he said, I've fought a good fight. I've kept the faith.
And he knew that his job was done. He knew that he was ready
to go and meet the Savior. Why? Because he had kept the
faith. He fought a good fight. And he
was ready to die. And he wanted to be with his
Savior. My friends, are we ready to stand before God? Yes, when
we stand before Him, what are we going to say to Him? What
will He say to us? He says, yes, I've done so much
for you. He says, what have you done for me? Or will He say,
well done, thou good and faithful servant. What will the Savior
say to us? What will He? Paul was there. He was willing. He was not afraid of death. He
did not worry about death when he was put in prison and he was
beaten. You know, I love the life of
Paul is because when he was there in jail, he was rejoicing and
singing when he was in stocks. and he was bound in darkness.
There he was sitting in this cold dungeon. He didn't worry
about what was going around him. He was rejoicing on the things
that the church of Philippi had done for him. He was rejoicing
and singing the praises of God. What the churches today in America
need is a good, what we call persecution, so that the church
will get on fire for God. We need some good persecution
in this church. That's why the church in Jerusalem
was very comfortable. But when there was persecution,
they were dispersed and the word got out. And what we need in
churches today, we got a lot of fluff, my friends. There's
a lot of fluff. A lot of so-called psychology
in the form of Christianity is coming into your churches. Be
very careful. New Age movement is taking a
very hold. Many Christians, even fundamental
believing churches are even using that sometimes. Be careful. You need to have the discernment
of God. Satan is very subtle. He's much smarter than you and
me. Yes, are we ready for death? Are we ready to die? Are we prepared
to meet the Savior? And when we stand before Him,
what is He doing? What will He say about us? When
He opens that book, what is written there? Isn't it that scary? It is scary for me. I hope some
of those stuff that I've done in my life is not written there.
Amen? You don't want it there. You
know, one day everything will be revealed. All the secret skeletons
that you have in your closet will all come out one day. Right
there, the world to see. Every one of you, your thoughts,
your motives. Praise God, nobody can know the
thoughts are going in our minds right now. Somebody may be thinking,
oh, when is he going to finish? It's almost 8.30. I'll be finishing. My friends, the last thing I
want to tell you about is I'm a Christian because I want to
go to heaven. I want to be in heaven. Yes, there are only two
places to go. There's no other choice. There's
no grey matter in between. Either heaven or hell. That's all. One day, I was seeing this young
soldier. I think he was 19 years old.
He came in and he said, Doc, I'm not feeling well. And he
took off, I said, well, what's wrong? He says, I've been having
this cough and this and that. So I said, well, you got to take
off your shirt, young man, because I have to examine you. And as
he took off that shirt, and there on his abdomen, I'll never forget
this young man was there written on his abdomen, the tattoo, a
big tattoo put on his abdomen. And it said there, sinner, sinner. And then I looked as I was auscultating
him and listening to his lungs and I looked down there and I
said, well, soldier, I'm glad that you recognize you're a sinner.
And what are you going to do about it? And the young soldier
said, oh, yes, I'm a sinner and I'm going to hell and I'm going
to go there and party with my friends. I said, I looked at
him for a few seconds, I didn't know what to tell him in the
first few seconds because that was not the answer that I was
looking for. I said, have you ever read the scriptures about
hell? Have you ever thought what hell is like? My friends, go
read what hell says. It's a place where the fire is
not quenched, where the warm diet not, there will be gnashing
of teeth. My friends, there will be moaning
and groaning and where the fire will be burning forever and ever. It's there where you're going
to party. I said, how many of your friends have come and told
you that they are partying up there? Yes, the world thinks hell is
a place they can go and party. Oh, they just don't realize what
it is. It's a place of torment. Yes, the rich man cries out from
hell. He says, Father Abraham, could
you please ask Lazarus to dip his finger and give me some water? I thirst here. Could you send somebody to warn
my brothers about this place? My friend, if you die without
Christ, that's what's waiting for you there. But praise God,
for a Christian, there's a place called heaven, where we will
be with our Savior. Are you telling this about, there
is a place called heaven? Oh, place that Christ has created
for it. I want to see my Savior. I want
to be in His presence. I want to be where my Father
is today, rejoicing in the presence of the Savior. And every time,
He said, I prayed that the Lord will give me life for 70 years.
And after He hit 70, He always reminds us children, He says,
I'm living on bonus time. I'm ready to go to my Savior. And on April 29th of this year,
my Father went to be with the Savior that He loved. Yes, my
friend, that's the place I want to go when I'm done with my work
over here. To be with my Savior who died
for me and who redeemed me from the sin and the clutches of sin. There's a place awaiting and
I know I won't have any more potholes, I won't have anything
there. It'll be streets of gold. Amen? And there's mansions that
will be for all eternity where there won't be no more pain,
no more sorrow, no more death. What a place. Many of you have
all kinds of arthritis and pains and sorrows. Be glad one day
all the shell you leave here and you'll have a glorified body
that will be for all eternity. Amen. That is a place that I
want to be in. That is why I'm a Christian and
that's why I go around telling people why I'm a Christian because
of a Savior who came and died for you and for me who shed his
blood so that we can not go to hell but go to a place where
can we be with him for all eternity. Have you ever shared that with
somebody in the last week? Today? When was the last time
you shared about your Savior? Paul never lost an opportunity. You, too, do not lose any opportunities
to tell people about the Savior. Yes, my friends, there's a world
dying out there. What are you doing about it?
How can you go out and reach the loss of the Savior? Paul
did it. Others have done it. Many missionaries
have done it. Many have died for the cause
of Christ. Are you willing to take this challenge and go and
reach the world for the Savior? I, Heavenly Father, we thank
you for your Word. We thank you, God, that you're going to rejoice
why I'm a Christian to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus
Christ. Yes, Lord, many a times I ran
my own way, but you saw me fit to be used of you. You gave me
another chance. Lord, there are many tonight
who can have another chance to come and take the gospel of the
Lord Jesus Christ. May your God come before you. Be renewed and challenged to
go out and reach the lost for Christ. We thank you for your
word, we pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
