The sermon for this morning is
the error of inerrancy within Christendom. Now, the scriptural
definition of inerrancy is that God, the eternal Jehovah, who
is otherness and dwells in eternal nowness, is infinitely above. his creation, what he has created. Yes, God has willed and inspired
and breathed out the living word of 775,000 words contained in
the Bible, in the 66 books of the Old and the New Testament.
And he has published that to mankind to further instruct man
and to glorify himself. And thus, each word is his inerrant,
infallible, immutable truth from which not one jot or tittle can
fail or fall. Yes, God's word is the grandmaster
blueprint for his creation, for which he decreed, designed, developed,
and implemented verbatim but from before eternity and long
before he created this universe or created time. Now, because Jehovah is omnipotent,
omniscient, omnipresent, he has decreed every circumstance and
every action and secondary action within this time frame that we
have from eternity and with every nanosecond of time where he is
executing perfectly and infallibly and inherently his inerrant word
to achieve his grand goal of the greater glorification of
himself. Thus every action in time, space,
or on earth, large or small, which he is unfolding, confirms verbatim exactly to
his plan that he had designed for this earth. Yes, every unfolding in time throughout
the history of this, his created universe, is simply one continuous synthesizing
and unfolding of his supreme almighty will. Thus, nothing
and nothing big or small can be or ever happen outside of
God's will, outside of His plan expressly written in His Word. Yes, the third person of Scripture
who inspired over 40 men as secondary authors to write down this His
divine word inspired, inspiration which God has given to instruct
all humans who remain the crown piece of His creation to know
Him, to obey Him, to glorify Him, to repent before Him. For the Lord has said, to this
man will I look who reads my word with trembling. Yes, he
is the grand God of the Trinity for humans, unknowable except
in Jesus Christ. However, the awful reality, the
tragic truth is that a very large percentage of Christendom today
in this wicked and perverse generation Do not truly believe in the full
and complete inerrancy of scripture, nor do they faithfully apply
these beliefs to their individual or church lives. Inerrancy believing
means constantly believing and applying, striving to faithfully
and completely apply all of scripture's words and all of scripture's
principles to our individual lives. It means 100% inerrancy
without the hypocrisy of inventing man's own exceptions, their caveats,
their conditions, their distortions, their revisions, their reinterpretations,
their assimilations, their imagining they must get with the times.
And all such human inventions distort the inerrancy of the
Word of God. No, the Word of God stands eternal,
human beings distorted. Yes, all such human inventions
and excuses constitute inerrancy, unbelief, which is so rampantly
evident and well documented by many research documents within
Christendom and in individual Christian lives today. Yes, every survey for the last
hundred years has demonstrated that man has fallen away from
the inerrancy of God's word. Oh, try to imagine that. This
is God's living word. There are 62,247 interconnections
between God's word and within scripture. authenticating every word of
God. Yes, we see already in 1948 when
the Dead Sea Scrolls were found in Israel where the Assyrians
had buried them, that buried word 2,000 years old when compared
with the scripture of today, that it was exactly the same. Yes, God's Word is true. God's
Word is authentic. God's Word is inerrant, infallible. Nothing can fail, not one jot
or tittle. But believing only with our minds
is radically different than believing with all of our soul. Heart,
mind, body, soul, and strength than applying the principles
of completed Scripture inerrancy to all things, to everything
that is happening in our lives, day by day, second by second. Yes, believing without applying
it to our lives is worthless religion. God demands 100% of
the Christian heart, mind, body, soul, and strength, or he wants
nothing of us at all. He wants nothing of such Chino-Christians
at all, Christians in name only, of which abounds today. No application to what they are
supposed to believe, what they read out of God's Word, they
are multiple-choice Christians who add their own caveats, their
own interpretations, whatever pleases them. That's not inerrancy. God repeatedly and bitterly laments
that the Christian hypocrisy in inerrancy, saying in Matthew
18, verse 8, This people draw nigh unto me with their mouth
and honor me with their lips. But their heart is far from me. God wants and demands our full
heart, not our corrupt minds, our twisted tongues and our connived
beliefs. oh read out of revelations 22
verse 12 and behold i come quickly and my reward is with me to give
every man according as his work shall be and my reward is with me to give
every man according to his work I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do
his commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of
life. and may enter in through the
gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers,
and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever
loveth and maketh a lie. I, Jesus, have sent mine angel
to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root
and the offspring of David, and the bride in the morning star. And the spirit and the bride
said, Come, and let him that heareth say, Come, and let him
that is athirst come, and whosoever will, let him take of the water
of life freely. For I testify unto every man
that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book. If any
man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues
that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away
from the words of this book of prophecy, God shall take away
his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and
from the things which are written in this book. He which testifies
these things saith, surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so come Lord
Jesus. And then as further scripture
Peter 1 verse 20. All scripture is given by inspiration
of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,
for instruction in righteousness. And 1 John 2 verse 5. But whosoever
keepeth this word in him, verily is the love of God perfected. Hereby we know that we are in
him. He has said, he that abideth
in me ought also to walk in me even as he walked. Yes, our hypothesis this morning
then, or today, is the inerrancy of God's
word which dominates Christendom today in some degree or another. Some less, some greater, but
all profoundly evil. Yes, today an exceedingly high
percentage of Christendom, clearly evidence in all the black and
white research gleaned from thousands of studies and surveys taken
during the last hundred years. Many Christians, a high percentage,
do not actually apply the full, complete inerrancy of Scripture
to their lives. Oh, with their mind, they may
believe it. With their mouth, they may praise
God. With their tongue, they may sing
of His glory. But God says that most profound
reality, their hearts, are far from me. Yes, you can read about
those 32 apostasies where God destroyed his own church throughout
history. It's not my word. It's God's
word. It's history that cannot lie. Yes, our sermon is about inerrancy. And when you bring it up to within
Christendom, certainly almost every Christian claims to believe
in the full inerrancy of Scripture. Yes, they become angry when you
tell them they do not believe in inerrancy. But that evidence
quickly becomes front and center evidence when they are confronted
with their open and obvious hypocrisy in the specifics, when they apply
their unique conditions, their unique exceptions, their qualifications,
their caveats, their revisions, their reinterpretations, their
unique circumstances. their historical culture, their
equivocations, their human reasonings, they all begin to come out, which
abundantly illustrates that most Christians today actually believe
only in air and sea for a part of the Bible. They do not want
to believe in 100% inerrancy, not in the inerrancy
written by scripture in the grandmaster blueprint for the universe. No, as they professed loudly
that they believe inerrancy on the surface of their words, that
seems solid. But let us in this morning take
a closer look gaping holes can be seen. And where there are
holes in inerrancy, any part of it negates the whole part
of it. Yes, to believe in full inerrancy
means believing and applying every word in scripture concerning
every element of the universe which God created. No, it is not just thinking with
our mind, believing, speaking with our mouth. But how do we
apply inerrancy? Oh, as we see in this sermon,
so many fail to apply inerrancy, the verbatim inerrancy of God's
Word. word, who created out of nothing,
must obviously be infinitely above his creation in decreeing
all that is, or will be, or will happen within his universe. Those 62,000 interrelated correspondence
within scripture Oh, that is impossible for a man to do one
of those, much less 62,000 of them to all coordinate, to all
work together. It is God's word that is inerrant. Man messes it up. Man destroys it. Yes, scriptural inerrancy means
believing every word in scripture concerning anything that God
writes. Yes, he did not. But yes, if
God said he created a new universe every one of the 53 trillion
seconds since this Earth's creation, I would believe it. I would have
no problem believing it. if he had said that, which he
has not. But if he had said that, of course
we would have to believe his word, even though it doesn't
fit in the confines of our puny finite mind. Yes, at God's word
it comes or he simply speaks and at his
word his command comes forth and it stands fast. Oh, Christians today have such
a small gun, such a puny gun, such a weak gun, who they imagine
stands in heaven wringing his hands in despair and in agony
as he watches earth's mankind. constantly fail. They imagine
God paces restlessly in heaven, saying, oh, I hope so-and-so
don't do that. Oh, I hope so-and-so don't do
that. That is not God of the scripture. That is not God at all. It is
an interpretation of God made by man's foolish
imaginations of a God, a false God. God is not wringing his
hands in heaven hoping that man doesn't go this direction or
that direction. That is nonsense. That is a lie. We're those who say there is no God,
they are liars. No, it's just man's foolish inventions
of a false God that we see rampant in Christendom today. In Psalm
2, we see God laughing at such human reasoning, laughing such
human reasoning to scorn. As he holds every heart in his
almighty hand, and he can turn it as he wills, as water in his
hand. Yes, even the king's heart. God is in control. God is in inerrant control. God is in infallible control. Remember, not only is God infinitely
higher than all of us, not only are his ways higher than man's
ways, but God's standards are much higher than man's standards. God counts a hateful thought,
a hateful word, or a hateful deed as robbery. as murder. He also counts a lustful
look as adultery. He counts every instant of envy
of your neighbor as covetousness. He counts lukewarmness as serving
him in hypocrisy. He counts disobedience as idolatry. He counts mixing Jehovah worship
with human worship as syncretic hypocrisy. Yes, God's standards
are much higher than ours. Indeed, one of the smallest sinful
thoughts of our mind, not repented of, not covered by the blood
of Jesus Christ is so deadly serious and so offensive to God
that it will be punished in hell forever and ever and ever. Oh, do you think about it? The
smallest human thought that is not done by faith is a sinful
thought. and it deserves hell. So righteous, so high, so exalted,
so holy is our God. So lowly are we humans as worms
in the dust. Yes, oh Lord, we plead with thee
as we fall before thy great white throne of judgment. Touch our
unclean lips with the coal from the sacred altar that we may
speak unto thee, O Lord, and plead with thee, cover me in
the blood, cover me in the blood, cover me in the blood. Yes, God
is very serious about smallest. Not one sin unforgiven
shall enter into heaven. And not believing every one of
his words in the Bible is one of the deadliest sins. The sin of inerrancy, of failing
to believe inerrancy is vital, is paramount, is hyper-exceedingly
critical. eternally serious beyond all
words. Yes, if you in your church believe
that some part of God's word is not inerrant, even the smallest
word, the smallest jot, the smallest tittle, oh, then I must tell
you on the authority of God's word, unless that sin is forgiven. You shall hear God's word at
the closed gate. Depart from me, workers of iniquity. I never knew you. Yes, one of the highest sins,
then, is to not believe in God's word verbatim, to not believe
what he has written for and to apply. Yes, we see Christendom
in our day participating, it seems, in gusto, in violating
scriptural inerrancy with little or no thought of how they offend
God. A great, great evil exists in
Christendom today. saying that because our puny
finite human minds cannot fathom something in the Bible, cannot
fathom something that God has said, I will not believe it until
it can be proven. Yes, because our finite minds
cannot fathom something so unspeakable, so awesome, so fathomably huge,
so incalculably holy, then we humans will not believe
it. That's what they say. We will
not believe the parts of God's word that we can't believe, that
we can't fathom, that we can't comprehend. Oh, and you only
need to look at creation's story. Genesis, such a high, high percentage
of Christendom today. Do not believe some part of Genesis. Some believe none of it. Believe God didn't even write
it. Oh, scriptural such make-believe Christians,
all such false Christians. For we do not believe in every
word which God says in his word on the subjects of agriculture,
art, architecture, architecture, astronomy, archeology, anthropology,
business, biology, communication, chemistry, education, engineering,
environment, forestry, family, economics, geography, history. Oh, you name all the fields that
there are in scripture, where God speaks about
mathematics, for example, then his word is accurate, even though
we have various things in mathematics that still are not resolved today. Oh, scientists regularly are
discovering something new in space that goes against every
theory that they have developed. They say light cannot travel
faster than 187,000 miles per second. But then they forget
that they also believe in the concept that something on this
side of space becomes the same thing on the other side of space
13.8 billion years later. Yes, scientists are the most
conflicted of all people. They refuse to believe in the
Word of God. Oh, there can be nothing more
foolish. Then for we with our puny finite
minds who say, because I cannot understand that which God is
saying, or I cannot comprehend that which God has said in his
word. Therefore, because it is not
within my human scope of understanding, then it can not be true. Oh, that is the state of Christendom
in so many areas today. Because their human mind cannot
fathom that God created the earth out of nothing instantaneously. He simply spoke and it was. When they say, oh, I can't believe
a God can be so big, can be so powerful. Therefore, because
I can't comprehend it, it cannot be true. Oh, can you imagine
the foolishness of such thinking? God who has created our mind
is far, far, far above our minds. The fact that we can't comprehend
God proves God. For if we could comprehend God,
then God would have to be underneath of us. God would have to be inferior
to us. No, all those who say that scripture
cannot be inherent in this area or that area or this place or
that caveat or that exception are liars. God scoffs at such
liars. My ways are wiser than God's
ways. Oh God says so emphatically,
so differently. My ways are infinitely above
your ways. My thoughts are infinitely above
your thoughts. Oh man that I have created, who
compared to me as but as a worm of the dust. Oh, come before
me in repentance. There is blood at the foot of
the cross to cover your error. There is still the time of grace,
the day of salvation. God has not yet closed But they will not be those who
persist in believing, not believing in the inerrancy of Scripture. No, they, such ones, can never
believe unless God works conversion within them. Yes, there are so Our previous generation would
laugh them to scorn. Anyone a generation ago who said,
I don't believe the word of God as a Christian, yet I am a Christian. Oh, how our godly forefathers
would laugh them to scorn. But they abound today. I know of a minister who is a
highly respected leader within conservative or reformed Christendom,
who insists he believes in the full inerrancy of God's word. Oh yes, he becomes angry if you
tell him he doesn't. Yet, yet, Yet he openly writes
and says, I do not believe that God created the earth in six
24 hour days. I believe in evolution and it
took 13.8 billion years for God to form the earth. And until
God can prove this to me, I will continue to believe in science. and the evolution of earth over
13.8 billion years, rather than the book of Genesis,
the Bible, which tells me God created the earth instantaneously
by his word. Yes, I can see with my own eyes,
evolution is real. I believe science until God proves
differently. Oh, what an awful position. What awful herency. Oh, how much this But we see in any one area where
you do not believe in the inerrancy of God's word, you are no different
than this man. You will go to no different place
than this man. A lie is a lie. An unforgiven lie cannot enter
heaven. Oh, what a deluded man such are
who do not believe in the inerrancy of God's Word and apply it to
their life, not just believe with their mind, but practice
with the heart, mind, body, soul, and strength, striving in the
blood of Jesus Christ. In what I cannot believe with
my mind, In what I cannot fathom with my mind, in what I cannot
comprehend with my mind, I know that God is right, that God is
true, and that his word is inerrant. Oh, imagine the deluded person. not believing in scriptural inerrancy
because he imagines that he is wiser than God, that he knows
more than the scriptures. Oh, how evident this is in this
generation, in this one of many, many, many examples in Christendom
today. God says, that they will believe a lie. Oh, in another example, Muller
of England in the 1830s entered a seminary to become a minister,
but he was unregenerated. Unconverted, he imagined he could
preach the word of God, but unexpectedly God regenerated Muller to the
light of Jesus Christ. He sat down in amazement, and
now at his blindness that he had so lacked the full belief
in the inerrancy Yet he set out to be a minister. And now he set out among the
600 other seminary students who were planning to be ministers
to find out how many of them also knew the mystery of God,
knew the pearl of great price. He talked to each of them. To
his amazement, Mueller found only four people out of the 600
who were truly converted, who were truly knowledgeable about
Jesus Christ in their hearts, who had received a new heart,
who had been changed from darkness to light. four out of the 600. Oh, then you may ask the obvious
question, what happened to those other 596 people who were in a seminary and God hadn't
converted yet were going to become ministers? What happened to those
596 Why, they became ministers in
the field of the gospel. They became ministers preaching
darkness to darkness. They walked in the ditch themselves
and preached more people into a deeper ditch. Yes, that was
over 200 years ago that Muller found that great conundrum. So many of the seminary class
did not believe in Jesus Christ, who they planned to preach as
ministers of the gospel. Oh, sadly, it is no different
today. When you do not believe in the
full inerrancy of God's Word, you are no different than the
595 of Mueller's seminary class. And even though you may be preaching
God's Word, even though you may be a minister of a large church,
of a powerful following, You are not believing in the
inerrancy of God's Word. You are preaching darkness, the
blind leading the blind. Oh, it is not a new phenomenon,
but it is more abundant in this phenomenon than ever before of
how our godly forefathers did see this and were astonished in amazement
when they saw a minister who didn't believe in the inerrancy
of God's Word preaching His darkness to the people. They already saw
so much of this strange hypocrisy in their day. They rightly said,
hell, the bottom of hell, must be paved with false Christian
ministers. Oh, Jesus sees it, God sees it,
looking down from heaven. If you have a minister who does
not believe in the full inerrancy of God's Word and does not apply
that to his preaching and to your and his They are believing
a delusion. And yes, yes, Jesus warns us
there are many, because Jesus said many shall come in my name
and shall deceive many. Believe them not. Oh, it abounds
today. Above all, let us be honest. Be honest with your soul. No
one can deceive God. You can deceive man. You can deceive millions of people. But the truth will one day hit
you in the face. God knows your very thoughts. You think you are so cunning. that you are able to deceive
everyone in the world, telling them you are not a hypocrite. But if you believe, do not believe
in the inerrancy of God's Word, you are not deceiving the Almighty. No, no, no. house tops. No sin, unforgiven
sin, can enter heaven. None, zero, zilch, nada. If you believe otherwise, you
are only deceiving yourself. If you disbelieve some part of
the Bible, even the smallest part, then you are the And unless you repent, unless
the blood of Jesus Christ covers you, you cannot enter heaven. Yes, God says, I will send them
a great delusion. Huntington wrote over 200 years
ago when he worked for a certain rich noble lady, who always kept a Bible at ready
reach on a shelf near her door. And whenever she saw a visitor
coming to her door, she quickly grabbed her Bible down from the
shelf and sat down and greeted them, reading the Bible so that
it became known throughout the country. Here was a woman, no
matter when you came to her door, she was reading the Bible. Everyone
in the countryside believed she was a well-versed, genuine Christian,
always reading her Bible. They never seen her without the
Bible. Yet Huntington, who worked beside
her, for her, testified that he doubted she had ever turned
even one page in her Bible in all those years that he worked
for her. Oh, imagine the hypocrisy. God sees it. We're not fooling
God. Do not be so foolish. Yes, that litmus test scriptural inerrancy, and that
means that you do not limit God's authority in his word, but that
you also strive to apply everything that God says in his word concerning
any of the 40 of the major fields of his creation. Oh, we have
listed them already, all the different fields of that God
has created perfectly. Oh, do you harbor any reservations
about what God says about anything? Oh, if so, then you are not following
the path of inerrancy. No, you are believing a lie. Peter said on the Mount of Transfiguration,
any road of seeing the transfiguration of Jesus Christ Yet, he says,
we have a greater testimony. The Word of God, the inerrancy
of God's Word was a greater testimony than Peter seeing Jesus being
transfigured. Oh, so powerful, so important,
so in the Word of God. No, I'm not
a prophet. Perished a very thought. But
fortunately, it does not take a prophet to see this. We have
the completed Word of God. From one generation to this generation,
we can see there has been 100% disbelief in the inerrancy of
God's Word. Yes, even a kindergartner can
understand that obeying God's Word is critical. Disobeying
God's Word is evil. And yes, even the smallest thought in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Oh yes, I do not preach this to be popular to you. All of
over of God's ministers that he has sent
to the earth who have preached the inerrancy of God's word were
very unpopular men, hated by Christendom for telling them
the truth. For men love darkness rather
than light. And when they refuse to stop
preaching the Word of God, they are hated yet the more. Oh, we
see this in this generation. Oh, remember, all sin is hated
by God and cannot enter heaven. But to sin as a heathen is far
different, far less to sin than a Christian. who in a Christian's
sins is zillions of times worse than the sins of a heathen. Yes,
that's zillions of times worse with a Z. Striving under the
blood of Jesus Christ is paramount. Obedience, unconditional obedience
is the key we see from scripture in 1 Samuel 15 verse 22. And the Lord and Samuel said,
the Lord's great delight has no great delight in burnt offerings
and sacrifices as much as obeying the words, the voice of the Lord,
his words. Behold, to obey is better than
sacrifice and to hearken than the fat of rams. For rebellion
is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity,
because they have rejected the word of God. He has rejected
them. Oh, as we close this morning,
the inerrancy of God's word is verbatim inerrancy. one jot, one tittle, you are
not believing in the inerrancy of God's word. And I must tell
you, unless, based upon God's word, unless you repent of that
sin and be washed in the blood of Jesus Christ, you will find
a closed door at heaven's gate.
Inerrancy hypocrisies
Series Reformation's 29 Failures toda
Scriptural Inerrancy hypocrisies abound greatly within Christendom today! Especially as a Christian, to not believe, not practice, nor strive to apply every one of the 775,000 Living, Inspired, Words of God, to our individual lives is one of Christendom's greatest sins in this wicked and perverse generation.
