Aim: To walk uprightly in Christ, leaving the results with God.
Features of the providence of God: it comprises the Lord's diary, not His ''Bible,'' and it always accrues to Christ's greater glory.
Exegesis: Providence applied to the church: God employs unlikely means (vv. 1a & 8), the sinfulness of man (vv. 9-13), and His Spirit (vv. 14-16) to exalt His children.
Further application: What this means for us: God's ways cannot be ''canned,'' and God must always be trusted.
Key phrase: v. 1a ''Then it came to pass, at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh had a dream...''
