The Temple in Ruins

When we read the Old Testament passages concerning the Temple, are these meaningful to us today? If so, how? Many of us recognize that the state of the visible church today is in ruins. Our pulpits are often devoid of biblically rich teaching, and the hunger for such teaching is largely lacking. Foolishness abounds on all sides. And, the scope of the work in comparison to periods of former glory seems insurmountable. The prophet Haggai speaks to us today, handling our objections to kingdom work, encouraging us, and comforting us. If God is with us, who can be against us in this, His kingdom work?
