Open our soul of a better day. We got the Lord, we got everything, amen. Amen, amen. I thank the Lord for last night. Good word of God that is in our way. The world needs to hear it, need more of it. Look with me tonight in the Gospel of Matthew in chapter number 24. If you'll look there tonight, and when you find your place there, turn on back in the book of Genesis. Two places here that we'll read. There, even Sunday night, we left Naomi and Ruth at the gates of Bethlehem. I was hoping with everything even in my soul to get back over there. All day, even yesterday, and then last night on our way home, the Lord just, he just kept bringing this to our heart and our mind. And if you don't know me, it won't take you long to figure me out. I'm just plain, that's all I am. And I'm glad that I know the Lord. Gospel of Matthew, even in chapter number 24, when you find your place there, go down to verse number 37. One verse that I'll read to you. Matthew 24, and verse, Eman number 37, the Bible said, but as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of Man be. Now in the book of Genesis, and chapter number six, very familiar scripture tonight. Genesis in six, find you place there, verse number 11. The Bible said the earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. God looked upon the earth and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. God said unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me. For the earth is filled with violence, even through them. And behold, I will even destroy them with the earth. Know that we already prayed, but help us pray tonight that God would use us. Thank you, Lord, for the privilege and all the time, God, you give us to be in this place. Thank you, God, for this good crowd you brought here. No doubt, Lord, you know every heart and every soul and where we are and what we stand in need of. I beg you, Lord, tonight for power. Beg you, God, for liberty. I pray, Lord, that you'd speak to us and through us. I beg you, God, you touch our old stuttering tongue. Ask you, Lord, if there's any tonight that's lost. I pray you'd convict their heart. Draw them, God, and save them. Lord, before it be too late. Thank you, God, again, for your many blessings. In Jesus' name, amen. I don't want to insult, amen, your intelligence tonight, but no doubt we all can read. So I want you to do me a favor tonight, and we all got a voice, and we can, amen, we can speak out. There is, amen, just two words in verse number 13 there, amen, that I want you to read back to me, and it's after, amen, the first comma, so everybody ready. Bible said, and God said unto Noah... Yeah, God being my helper, that's what I'm gonna give you tonight. With the help of the Lord. We are in some dark days. How the brother stood up here just a moment ago and talked about how that he didn't wanna come up in a dead church age. I'm afraid, brother, we are in the days that Paul wrote to young Timothy. Amen, when he told him that perilous times would come. He said that there'd be a day when men would be lovers of their own selves more than lovers of God. That a time would come when men would have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof. We are living in those days today. But you'll look back in the book of Genesis, brother, the Bible said that God looked upon the earth and seen it was without form and void and the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the deep. A God began to speak and things began to happen. I mean, what a God we serve. I mean a God that was able to look out at just pitch black darkness and say, let there be light, and light begin to shine. A God that was able, amen, to call out of the water and dry land appear. Hey, is he not a good God tonight? A God that could speak, T.J., amen, and let them plants and trees begin You see, he spoke this world into existence, this bunch of baboons that wants to tell me and you that we evolved, that's what they are. Amen, God, help if we could just look and realize that how big our God is. But out of everything that God spoke, I found one thing. Amen, where he rolled up his sleeves and he stuck his hands down in that dust. And the Bible said that he formed man out of the dust of the ground. But not only did he form him, he breathed in his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul. Man's the only thing tonight that can be saved from hell. Man's the only thing that has the privilege to call on God and have him move here and take up his abode in our heart. But if the Lord would help me here for a moment, I want to tell you how the ends are coming. And man, here he was, and for years went A man must enjoy it. Amen is creation that God give. But it come on down. And the longer man live, the eviler they got. The longer man live, amen the more sin. and the more rebellion, amen, the table began to get a little deeper, and a little deeper, off into sin, and the Bible said, amen, dear, that I read to you, that God looked on the earth, he seen that every imagination, a man's heart was only on evil, and he repented, God, that he ever made man, they said, but no, a found grave, in the eyes of the Lord. And God told Noah, he said, the end of all flesh has come up before me. Honey, we're getting closer to a day where God's gonna make an end. Amen, there's an ending day out there, honey. The Bible says in it, it is a pony and a man who wants to die. But after this is the judgment. The brothers said it last night. But we're in a day. They say there's no judgment. Aiming for the righteous. But Paul said we must all appear before the judgment. See the cross, and it'll all say bound to free. Aiming red, yellow, black, or white. There's a reckoning day. You're going to meet God. Amen to how you live and what you've done. I'm going to go ahead and tell you. Amen to you. Your sad eyes and your mean looks don't bother me one bit. Honey, there's an end in pain. That's our time. Ready or not, he's coming. There's an end. Yeah, there's an end. Oh, Jesus stood over there on the Mount of Olives and began to tell them boys about the days we're seeing today. Wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places. He said there'd come a time a brother and son would turn against father and father against son. Ain't that sad? He said, but all these are the beginning of sorrow. He said, the end's not yet. Oh, listen to me. We can push it off. You can say it's a fairy tale. But that's what they don't know. That's the same thing they don't know. But honeybee, there's still a day when the end comes. Oh, Noah, the end of all faith. I ain't trying to kill you, smile. Amen. The end of all faith has come up before me. I can only imagine. Noah said, oh, Lord, what are we going to do? Lord, what about my wife, and my boys, and my family? What we gonna do? He said, but Noah, I've made a way out. The imps are coming. You write her down. The judgment's gonna fall. But I've got a way of escape, thank God, listen. Even the Bible says that when the foolish attempt was come cross come, born of a woman under the law. Are you ready? Are you ready? It's easy to do this. It's easy to sing. It's easy to say that we know the Lord. But are you ready? Amen. I'll get liberated in a minute. There's an end to coming. Ain't that right? I didn't come down here to cross your doctrine. We got pre-millennial. We got post-millennial. We got pre-tribe. We got mid-tribe. We got post-tribe. You know what I believe. We stood up and argued about how he's gonna ride a white horse, and he's gonna do this, he's gonna do that, until we forgot the main thing, he's coming. We borrowed, oh yeah, preacher, I love you. What about that Battle of Armageddon? What do you think we're fighting now? Some of you don't like it, it don't matter if you do or not. Hey man, one thing I know, Lee, he's coming. He's coming. If he's riding the pink elephant, that's one thing I know. Bill, when he calls, I'm gonna answer. Honey, when he steps out, it'll be over. Well, don't get mad. I'll get off your end time beliefs. My end time belief is, here one of these days, T.J., hey man, the class guy's gonna party. And then it's O-V-E-R over. Amen. Well, the ends are coming, Noah. Oh, here he was. Noah went out. I can't help but think that Noah was a logger. I guess because maybe I am. Somebody had to cut some timber. Here he was, went out there. I don't know if he had a Husky Varna. I don't know if he had a steel. I don't know if he just had one old dull axe, but I do know one thing. God laid the blueprint and Noah had to do it. Amen. How you gonna make it, preacher? He's laid it out plain in 66 words. Amen. And you believe what you want to, but honey, I'll take every bit of it. Amen. From the beginning up to the amen in Revelation, it takes it all. We gotta have it all to be ready for the end. Amen. Preacher, I know the ends are coming. I'm glad you asked. When we got a society that cares more about transgenders than they do the things of God, the ends are coming. When we got a White House, amen, that cares more about the rights of sodomites, amen, than they do the rights of God's people, the ends are coming. Your politics don't make no never mind. Whether it's old Kamala or Trump or who it is, right's right and wrong's wrong. Amen. My commander-in-chief is not sitting in the Oval Office. I demand seated at the right hand of the Father. And he told me there's a covenant in him. Praise the Lord. Where's Chris Oakley? I just wanna know where you was. The end's a comin'. You believe that tonight? It's a comin'. Well, there was no without turn but give him the word. They've argued over how long it took him to build the ark. I'll not argue with that. I know God told him to build it and he built it. Amen. How old are you, brother? I'm an 82 year old. I know that, I don't even know his name. But every night I've been here, he's been here for me. I believe he's working on the ark. You'll be 83 what? Tomorrow. Now the best I can tell, you know him better than I do. I believe old Bill Sperling's been working on the ark. Oh, why are these in the incoming? Well, the society today, thank God for these young people. We got a lot up on too, but it'll listen. If I make you uncomfortable with what I'm fixing to say, you just gonna have to get uncomfortable. But brother, we got a society that'll tell our children it's okay to have sex for marriage. You can't tell me that we're not nearing the end. And if you're sitting there bug-eyed, wondering why I said that, somebody ought to warn them babies, they should have them decayed, and to hell with y'all. Everybody alright? The odds are coming. I mean, there was once a time, hey man, you make it quiet on this one. There was once a day, brother, that you could go up to a lost man and he'd say, if the Bible says it, that's how it is. In 2024, church people will sit on the pew and get mad over the Word of God. It's a scrying shame when a drunkard has more morals and standards and respect than the church folk do. He said they'd come a-falling away. How can you fall from something if you ain't on it? He wasn't talking about the world. Honey, she's gonna wax worse and worse. The fallen away comes out of the tomb. We'll shout in a minute. The ends are coming. You believe that? Work on that heart, Lord. The Bible said Noah was a preacher of righteousness. I believe he worked on that heart. I'm sure he did. I believe he preached just as much as he worked. Everybody all right? I believe Leo Noah would go out, every man, day after day, standing on the street corner, Chris Oakley would say, the ends are coming. The ends are coming. Somebody had walked by. Hey, hey, hey. Here was her babies. Pull on her shirt, tell Daddy. Noah said the end's coming. He said that for years. I've heard him say that. He stood in that same place. Bill stood in the same pub peeing for years and told us the same thing. I'm getting about to get tired of hearing it. Well, you gonna get tired one more time tonight. Honey, there's an ending day. It's coming sooner than later. Oh, and you better be ready. Amen. Whoa. Daddy T.J. said there's an end coming. He's just saying what Papaw said. Oh, the preacher man said the ends are coming. We got all kinds of time. Don't you worry about that. Well, here was Noah, him and him worked on that ark. Finally, one day, I believe Noah would tell him, it's gonna rain. It ain't never rained, it ain't never rained on this earth. God would water it from beneath. You mean to tell me rain is gonna fall out of the sky? No, you're crazy. You mean to tell me fire and brimstone's gonna fall? You mean to tell me that man's gonna call for the rocks and the hills to fall on him? Preacher, you've lost your mind. Hey, that's the same thing they told Noah. I get upset sometimes. Hey, go places and preach. Even at the church I pastor, get up and it dead. And it seemed like everybody quiet. Everybody just sitting around, just twiddling their thumbs. And me doing my best to say the end's coming. And I'll leave Lee and think, boy, that's a mess I made. And then the Lord remind me there wasn't a one soul saying amen, no. There wasn't anybody in that ungodly world when them two men would walk by, no. Holding hands and kissing on each other. They wasn't saying preach on, no. They wasn't saying, no, that's awful good. I can't wait till next Sunday morning. I said, Noah, get out of here. We're tired of hearing about that. But the world may have turned him away. But there's one on the other side saying you're doing good, Noah. Tell him one more time that I'm here. At the end, he's coming. Well, finally one day, brother, the last nail God put it in the ark. God said, Noah, come in. It may not stir you. God didn't say, Noah, go in. God said, come in. You know what that tells me, Chris Oakley? He was already there. Don't get too excited. That just means God was already in there. Saying, Noah, there's gonna be some dark days ahead. But I'll be there with you. Ever-stepping away. I can't help but think that Noah was the last one in. And he watched that boy and his wife die. That boy and his wife. And that boy and his wife. Amen. Amen. That little old woman, God blessed him with. He said, come on, honey. You know what I long for, TJ? With all my soul. I've heard people say, amen, that whether their wife wants to go and all of this. I've made my mind up. I want to go to heaven. I want to be able to stand. and watch them babies arise as we all go together. Listen, there's an end coming. I got four girls sitting back there. And if nobody else needs to know, girls, look at daddy. There's an end to coming. There's an end to coming. You better be ready. For when God calls, it's over. I'm gonna ask you this again, smile. There's an end, Lee. Well, Noah walked in the ark. T.J. about to turn his feet, went over the threshold. God closed the door. It didn't rain for a while. Noah shut up in that ark with all him old stinking animals. He's gonna smother in there. Look how pretty it is today. Blue sky and the sunshine and Noah's in that ark. But one blessed day, T.J., a drop fell out of heaven. It's just coincidence. No, I don't know what he's talking about. And another fell. And another fell. Now all of a sudden, all crazy. No, I didn't seem so crazy. They saw me in this place tonight, that if you don't wake up, that's the very thing you're gonna be doing one day. I'm getting in a little deeper. No, it's up to our ankles. Let us in. began to get up, the brother and their children was having to tread water, and that's trying to keep their babies out of the judgment. No! Our babies are dying! Please don't, please! Get up to their neck, Lee, and that doesn't have to let their babies go home. Please, Noah! We're going to die. We're going to drown. Oh, the Bible says there's coming a day a brother and man's going to meet God. Oh Lord, don't you remember me? You know what they're gonna be doing, Bill? Beating on the door. Oh Lord, look again. Look one more time. But honey, when the bucks is served, and your name ain't there, there's nowhere else but there. That's right, if you're lost, I'm gonna do my best to win you. Throw a back split, I'm gonna try to wake you up. Noah, you got to get in faint, TJ, or there's losing strength. You ever tried to beat on a door in Treadwater, too? Noah, and it started like this. He got it weaker and weaker as life began to leave man. You're scaring me, preacher, good. Good. But now you can't convince me, Lee, that Noah heard of one of them knocked. I don't believe he did. That old ark was pitched within and without. That way the water couldn't get in there. Yo, with me, God was making a way for him. How in the world could he have enjoyed the journey if he isn't listening to everybody else beat on the door? Yo, with me, all things is passed away. Behold, all things are become new. You may not believe this. There's coming a day, honey, when God's gonna forget about you. preacher, that ain't my God reader. There's a book of remembrance for them that die in the Lord. But those that hear God say, depart from me, I never knew you. I believe their very existence in the mind of God is gone. I lost some of you there. You know what folks are doing in hell right now? They're not sitting on a padded pew, listening to an old, sweating, slobbering preacher. They'd give everything they have to trade places with you. You know what they're doing, Lee? Oh, God, give me one more chance. They told me the end was coming, but I just couldn't hardly believe it. Preacher, I'm young. I can take you right now up at the house where we live. Years ago, a young man had been told all of his life, you make a profession, hey, walk away, do what you want, and you're gonna make it to heaven. If you believe that, shame on you. That's all that boy had ever heard. He got up a teenager, started drinking, started home one night in a Ford Mustang, wrapped it around a tree, and the end came. Go with me. Died just for old people. Go find that boy. Uphold my pastor down on the river. Young man and his wife started coming. Where's them two little girls in them, amen, in them purple dresses, your granddaughters. Amen, them two little girls. Back there reminded me a lot of his two little girls. He had come, sat back there and cried. I'd give the altar, call it, raise his hand, I'm lost. One blessed night I watched him bust out of the pew. Come up and kneel down on this side of the altar. And I mean, there was a difference made in that boy. He was just a little old short feller in his early 20s. Had to get in the choir and he'd stand back here with the men. And you couldn't even see him over everybody. But they'd get singing about how God's still good. And I'd see them hams go up in the air. Me and him spent night after night in the woods following old lion coon dogs. trouble come in his home. Him and his wife split up. I told him, I spit in your flesh. It'd be real easy to quit. He said, I ain't quitting. It ain't got one thing to do with the Lord. I said, good. For a long time, he had broke my heart, but he had dressed him too. Little old girl, that's my wife. They'd come to church in their harem mails, but daddy brought them to the house of God. After a little while, Lee, he'd miss a service here. And he'd miss a service there. Here's my friend, T.J. I'd call him, he wouldn't answer. I'd pass him on the road and he wouldn't even throw up his hand no more. I'd send him a text bill and say, I sure been missing you. No response. I believe he was about, right around, ain't no 24, 25 about this time. Does the same work that I do. Was logging at the head of Plum Branch and my phone rang one morning, I answered it. Tree top, it broke out and fell on that boy. And as I rushed him to Johnson City, That night about 11.30, the end came. Who's to say that won't be you? I preached revival over in Waynesville last year as three rows of pews in that church, T.J. And what all the Tuesday night, on the back seat of that middle row, I can close my eyes and see that man's face. I preached on what? Do you have to give up? And he sat there and cried. He sat on the back row and bawled like a baby. Rejected God that night, got up and left. And the next morning they pronounced him dead. This ain't no fairy tale, honey, it's reality of the end is coming. Whether he calls us all home together or he just calls your name, one way or another, the ends are coming. We're in a time, brother, this is sad. but there ain't enough power of God in the churches anymore to even show lost people they're lost. Amen. There ain't enough power behind the pulpits anymore, amen, for people to even realize of the stake they're in. Come on with me now. We got three poets and a poem. Pat everybody on the back. Everybody's going to heaven. Honey, it ain't that way. There's an end to coming. There's an ending day. And if you're not ready, you'll die without God. The power of God could sit down in most churches and people would be so afraid. I'm talking about people that shout. I'm talking about people raise their hand. You let the power of God fall down. What in the world is that? If it ain't some form, amen, of some fashion, people don't know nothing about it. I thank God for where I'm at. Amen. I'll brag on my church while I'm here. They're one of the few left. Not because I'm their pastor. Honey, they'll shout more while you're preaching. Amen, you're with me. I mean, you can get down and get real rough. And they'll say, woo! And now a man can preach on heaven. And we'll sit there and look at our watch and say, I wish he'd hush. I'm starved to death. Come on, amen. For the preaching of the cross unto them that perish is foolishness, but unto us which are saved. Thank God for good singing, but singing didn't save me. Amen. A confession service didn't save me. The word of God pricked my heart. If there's anything worth shouting over, It's this blessed book that I hold. That's my way out. That's my way out of here. It ain't something to collect dust. Sit in the dash of the car from Sunday to Sunday. Sit on the pew from service to service. When I open this up, TJ, he begins to tell me how to build the ark. You all with me tonight? Preacher, you're getting long. That's all right. You go sleep in my bed and I'll sleep in yours tonight. I drove three hours to get down here. Busting at the seams the whole way. Because God told me to tell you, there's an end out there. Amen. Me and that old boy have been a lot of meetings together. We've been some good, some bad. Some dead and some lively. But one thing's remained the same. He ain't changed one bit. And the ends are coming. Well, preacher, I read after Spurgeon and he said this. I read after this well-acclaimed preacher and he said this. I've had them give me books from every author from here to California. And I listen and I ain't trying to be mean. The only piece of literature that I'm interested in. Honey was breathed. I was breathed in the man. As man begin to write, God begin to blow. And say tell them how to miss the end. That's right. The end's coming. Old Bert, in the song of Solomon, amen, he went in there to his blood and getting a knock on the door, Bill. She laid there in the bed. Ain't that right? I've already washed my feet. How shall I defile them? I've already pulled my coat off. He wants me to put it back on and he'll stand there knocking. And when she decided to get up, he was gone. What are you gonna do one of these days? What are you gonna do, sinner? when God spent all this time in knocking. And you're right down at the gates of hell and open the door and he ain't there. Do me a favor. Him and take a deep breath and hold it. What would you do if that was your last one? Where would you be if that was your last one? Which place are you heading if that was your last breath? Preacher, I got saved 40 years ago. Is there buried treasure? Ain't no treasure at all. They'll die drunk, T.J., you know. Some of y'all are tired of getting up and preaching into heaven. They'll die overdosed and some old dignified doctor mount a pulpit and say, well brother so and so got saved at Bible school when he was a child and he's lived like hell ever since then. You can't convince me. Honey Bible says you know a tree by the fruit it bears and how a tree falls is highly. That's right. We'll play Leonard Skinner at the funeral home. Sweet home, Alabama. Party on in hell, my little buddy. Amen. I'll see you there. There ain't no party going on there, friend. They're saying, oh, Lord. Oh, please. They're beating on the door, TJ. It ain't the flames that's the torment of hell. It ain't the darkness, it ain't the gnashing of the teeth. You know what the torment of hell is? That separation. That knowing God's never gonna speak to you again. I'm talking to somebody tonight. That knowing that it's over. And as hard as you plead, Lord, Lord, I want to get saved now, but the end's done come. There's good old boys in hell. There's good old girls in hell. Don't get cross with me. There's deacons in hell. There's men that used to carry the gospel screaming out of hell. You believe that preacher? Just as sure as I'm standing here. If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? God didn't save me to live in fear. God didn't save me to be anxious. I'm gonna make it because of him. Amen. Let's get that out. I'm gonna make it because of him. Honey, but man can get out of the will of God and bury that treasure. And the day will come, he'll take it and give it to another. I don't know how it is down here, but that message is done, it's done, took over. Up at the house, it's took over. Has for years. I crossed some of you there. If you ain't ever heard that before, then you gonna hear it tonight. Man can get out of the will of God and die and go to hell. The ends are coming. A lot of cowards have stood behind pulpits and told people, just make a profession, you're going to heaven. They're going to meet God. And the blood of their congregation's gonna be dripping off their fingers. And I don't know Lee, but I can't help but to think that everybody that they lied to is gonna get, why'd you lie to me? The end's coming. Walking with God's good. Everybody smile. Walking with the Lord is a beautiful thing. I mean to have him. What a friend he is. He's a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. But honey, he's a jealous God. And he's a just God. And one of these days he's gonna get tired of the things that's going on in our world. I told Lee and I last night, I don't think I've got there yet. I'll hush in a minute. The end's coming. The end's coming. I see some tears on faces. Praise the Lord. The end's coming. A few weeks ago, TJ up at the house, a lot of men and women and boys and girls, went and laid down in their beds in their homes on Thursday night. 30 inches of rain fell in Yancey County. Friday morning, by the time the sun rose, the end had come. People that thought they lived far enough above the water level to not be flooded out. Hey man, you know what happened? The mountainside come down. I'm talking about right around where I'm at. Me and my wife walked up to the main road that Friday morning, looked off at the river, and where you could just be used to, you could see it winding around, as far as you could see was water. Cars and hay bales, people's houses and buildings floating. All I could think of was, oh, God have mercy. the income. Drive up a place called Bowling's Creek, you can look where a mountain used to be standing. Homes down below that hill, and it's nothing but a rock face. And every piece of dirt and tree and home that was on that hillside is now way down here in the creek bed. Preacher, that won't happen to us. They said the same thing. Everybody all right? There's people right now that's mourning the loss of their babies. their grandbabies, their spouse, amen, their brothers, their sisters, their mamas, their daddies, amen, that God decided that the end would come for them. What are you gonna do if God calls your name before you leave this place and the end comes to your soul? The end's coming, brother. There's a place on the head of Cattell up there. They said they was digging them out in a line, like they was running as the mountain slid down on them. And they was digging them men, women, boys and girls, mamas and daddies, babies, out in a line, like they was running away from that. One of these days, honey, God calls, and man, Seize the end. They're not gonna be running away from it, they're gonna be running to it. That Bible said there'd come a day when men beg for death, and it'll flee from them. I told them this up at church the other day, they can do whatever they want, T.J. They can cut their wrist, hang a rope out of the tallest tree and hang theirselves. Amen. They can take a 45 and blow their brains out. It will not hide them from the end. You're sitting here tonight, and man, the old devil's doing everything he can to tell you how wrong I am and how right you are. Well, there's a man in this Bible that had great riches and great belongings. He said, I'll tear down Bill Greeter. Hey, he went to bed that night saying, I'm gonna have all this tomorrow. And he said, thou fool, this night thy soul be required of thee. I'll get in next time. There may not be a next time. Oh, our God's love, yes he is. For God so loved the world. But honey, one of these days, mercy is gonna be over with. Just as short, Bill, as he closed that door on that hour, God's gonna close the door on grace one day. And when he, God closes the door, no man can open it. I'm trying to win them. The end's coming. I would hate to come back here tomorrow night and hear tell some lost soul in this place went out to meet God when they walked out the doors. I would hate that, but your blood's gonna be off my hands. There's an end coming. I'm gonna mind the Lord, is that all right? Let's stand tonight, you know your heart. We'll bow our heads. Hey, somebody come to the piano. You know where you're at. You know what you stand in need of. God's done shined the spotlight down on your heart. The ends are coming. The end's near. Can you walk out this place tonight? Can you get up out of your seat and walk out the doors and say, if God calls your name right now, that everything's all right. If he's lost in your family, you ought to pray for him. The eons are coming. Appreciate these, it's praise.
