Made Like His Brothers

Because of the pulpit exchange scheduled for this evening, and because we want to
stay current with our Catechism classes, we will have our Confessional sermon this
morning. Lord's Day 5 begins the second main section of our Catechism. In the first
main section we were taught painful and unpleasant, and yet very badly needed
lessons about our human sin and depravity. Now in the second section, our Savior
from sin is introduced to us.
This morning we learn that:

1. Only an eternal punishment can satisfy God's justice.

2. No other entity can satisfy God's justice.

3. Only a Divine-Human mediator can satisfy God's justice.
