Arrogance or Assurance?

How is it the man who calls himself the "chief of sinners" can claim to have a good conscience before God? And what is it about the resurrection of the dead that can cause such division among Paul's accusers, but gives Paul such confidence and hope? We too can receive a clean conscience and enjoy the same confidence and hope - such is the power of the gospel of Christ.
