Spreading Their Clothes

During Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem, His disciples and many from the crowd greeting Him, laid their clothing down on the road for His donkey, indicating: 1. Honoring Him as King 2. Their respect for His path / direction (at least as they perceived) and 3. Their willingness to lay down their lives for Him. This symbolic gesture was not backed by reality just a short time later.
