Paradise Opened

For our communion sermon, we consider the two malefactors that were crucified next to our Lord. We consider the destinies of these two wicked men were separated by Christ. One receives faith and receives Christ and is saved immediately, all his evil deeds forgiven in the blink of an eye by the suffering Savior crucified next to him. Whereas the other malefactor is confirmed in his sin and dies cursing the Redeemer and going to hell.
