Grace to the Humble

Continuing this practical section of the inner working of the church in its time of persecution, Peter turns to the flock. Repeating a theme he has addressed in the daily life of believers, he reminds the sheep to submit to the elders. Then he turns to the topic of humility. Not only are we to show humility to others but when we are humble before God, we are to turn over our anxiety to Him. Such action causes us to give up control and rely upon God.
