Don't Throw In The Towel

Did you know the Lord is more concerned with your holiness than your happiness? Our eternal joy and salvation are far more important to him than our temporary gratification or comfort. We often grow weary and question the Lord when life gets tough because our priorities are different to his. Our eyes are fixed on different goals. And yet, in all our struggles, he is training us for our good so that we may share his holiness. He has a long term view in mind, and we would do well to share his view. In all things he is treating us as sons and teaching us so that we might endure the hardships of life and receive in full all the blessings he has promised. "Don't throw in the towel," the writer of Hebrews urges. Instead, when the going gets tough, look to Jesus and run with endurance the race that is set before us.
