More Than Conquerors

This message gives believers encouragement. It is drawn from the 8th chapter of Paul's letter to the early church in Rome, Believers in Christ are set free from sin and therefore we are set free from spiritual death. (Romans 8:1-2). Sin brings death, but we've been made alive in Christ. The gift of God is eternal life in God's Messiah our Lord. (Romans 6:23). Therefore, we are to focus "on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." (Colossians 3:2-5). We are empowered to resist the enemy of souls and overcome temptation to sin. We are born of God and as such, we conquer the things that once had us defeated. You are more than a conqueror. You who have gained everlasting life through the sacrifice of Christ can live in this truth no matter what this life throws at you; no matter what the world does; no matter what the enemy of souls does; you are more than conquerors. By Christ in you, you have the hope of everlasting life. He is the one who makes it possible for you to be more than conquerors!
