It’s A Family Thing

How many times, as a kid or even as a teenager, did you make plans without knowing the plans of your parents — only to find out, to your disappointment, they had other plans for you? You planned but they actually directed your steps. There's nothing necessarily wrong with making plans on your own, but family and relational success often comes when we discuss our plans and days with those we share life with (those we love, committed to, live among, work together in life, and walk through life with each other).

It didn't take us long as kids to learn that it would be best to ask our parents what their plans were for us before we got carried away with our own agenda.

This same way applies to our walk with the Lord. It's always best to seek Him first… trust He knows and loves us better than anyone and has the best day and life prepared for us. And when we acknowledge Him, as a way of life, we can rest assured His ordained steps for us are better than anything we could've planned without Him.

"A man's heart plans His way, but the Lord directs His steps." Proverbs 16:9
