Comfort for the Weary

In the 1st 11 verses we have verses of encouragement. In verses 12-27 we have strengthening verses. God is judging Israel for their sin. But He does speak much of their sin in this chapter. It a passage of comfort and encouragement. Isaiah is looking forward to the coming of Messiah. "Prepare the way of the Lord". What are some of the ways that God encourages His people. 1st - By giving them commands, to show them ways to please Him and get along with their fellow man. 2nd - By giving them promises. 2 reasons for the Coming of Christ in this passage. His suffering and His glory. We can find much comfort and encouragement in this.
